Juliearth: And you think these extensions/ expansions are not underway? Why criticise unconstructively and blindly? When was the last time you visited Minna? Nothing is underway as far as Suleja is concerned and that's where most of these buses will be plying. I was still in Suleja last week. |

Exousiang01: If I be Nigerian leader, I go just dey do anything I like, because nothing anyone does ever looks good in the eyes of Nigerians. Despite the headline saying construction of about 500KM of road is on the way and this same guy has been doing dangerously great in agriculture you are still her faulting him. Una be plague The guy you're quoting actually knows Niger state very well. These kind of bus can't enter Suleja without causing issues, except of course, if they're intending to go through Dikko and stop at Kaduna road. Honestly, I can't point to any good road anywhere in that State. While this is commendable, he should also try to do some road infrastructures. The state needs good roads for the farm produce too. We should always criticize our leaders if something is a miss. With all the available resources, buying buses should not something we'll be commending. |

Now we know if fire breaks out in a house built with concrete blocks, the walls do not burn. Now imagine this situation that the surface of the wall is highly inflammable like this one? honour7: Money for constituency project is understandable that is for constituent to demand accountability from their senetors, but just writing 3 trillion naira in a budget without tying it to any project, now that should be a crime Even consistency projects is an aberration. Since when do senators start doing local government chairmen and councillor's work? Everything in this country is just upside down. The closest form of government to the people would not be allowed to function, but people who are supposed to be making laws are now given huge sum that no one demands accountability for, to execute constituency project. How did we get to this point exactly? The national assembly is a major problem in our quest for greatness in this country. |

He said that Nigerians should grow our foods. That we should eat the food we grow. Doing so would wean us from depending on foods from foreign sources. A nation that fully depends on food from outside can not get it. My friend, Beautiful Nubia once said: "a nation that can not feed itself will always be subservient to others". You'd agree with me that this is the definition of Nigeria. See how we so much care about the value of naira against the dollar as if we're actually spending dollars in Nigeria. There can only be meaningful progress when we grow what we can eat. |

Ginison1: It is very obvious people who have never lived in Abuja coming out to say nonsense. How on earth is Nyanya in Nasarawa? Even when they are being corrected they still insist on their ignorance. Nyanya is in Abuja and is under AMAC (Abuja Municipal Council). Nyanya is closer to Asokoro, CBD and Wuse than Gwarinpa. The problem is the traffic, without traffic Nyanya to Asokoro is 5 minutes while to Central Area is 15 minutes. It is Mararaba, New Karu and New Nyanya that are in Nasarawa If you're living in Nyanya, you're definitely not in the FCT. If you say AYA and Asokoro, those are in AMAC. Nyanya is in nasarawa. Following your logic, we might as well say Madalla is in FCT since we can't even differentiate it from Zuba. |

@ topic. They will spring into action ... condemn rape .... arrest all involved ... and give them the maximum sentence ... all because the victims are foreigners. This is from the report Taboos around speaking up about the crime and low conviction rates of suspects add to the problem. Rape cases might actually be under reported in India. I know rape cases are most likely under reported in Nigeria, but you need to see how these guys in the middle east behave and harass women. I saw the same pattern in Egypt. They can go as far as bring out their longjohn in broad daylight asking strangers to come be intimate with them. It's not that bad in Nigeria. |

Man102: Over 91 million bank accounts at risk of deactivation as CBN’s BVN/NIN deadline expires
As the March 1 deadline set by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the linkage of bank accounts with either the Bank Verification Number (BVN) or National Identity Number (NIN) expires, approximately 91 million bank accounts face the risk of being frozen.
The CBN had directed commercial banks to restrict tier-1 accounts without proper BVN or NIN linkage.
The directive, issued on December 1, 2023, outlined the immediate placement of unfunded accounts on ‘Post No Debit or Credit,’ with funded accounts scheduled to face the same restriction effective March 1, 2024.
Banks intensified efforts over the weekend, sending final reminders to depositors to utilize digital platforms or visit branches for the necessary BVN/NIN linkage to avoid the potential freezing of their accounts.
The directive further stated that the BVN or NIN associated with all accounts must be electronically revalidated by January 31, 2024.
While the CBN has not officially clarified the consequences for customers failing to comply with the BVN/NIN linkage, banks have warned that non-compliance could result in the inability to carry out transactions.
Panic has ensued among depositors, leading to frequent bank visits as customers strive to update their account information before the March 1 deadline.
As of January 26, the Nigeria InterBank Settlement System (NIBSS) reported that BVN-linked accounts stood at 60,492,104 million.

Up till today, there are still functional accounts without linkage to BVN. I'm not linking nada. Let the Banks block my accounts first. I want to check something. |

TAW TAW...etc The first one. It's tonal, so the first syllable is pronounced differently than the second syllable. The first "To" sounds like "toll" pronounced with high pitch, while the second "to" sounds like the way you'd sound if you pronoun "to" in "going to". |

MaxInDHouse: We are talking about the tithe here there's a difference between deciding to pay individuals or bringing it to the church. That's what i'm saying. Jesus only talked about helping your poor and needy neighbors, but never mentioned tithing not even once. What do you think of Matthew 25:36-46. It's OK to give to your Pastors to advance the ministry of God, but if you're doing so, ignoring the people who might need it more or the less privileged whose life depends on it, you no doubt belong to the group on the left side. |
