Good day, guys,

Having saved up some amount of money, I am considering quitting my job and getting acquainted with an IT skill.

There is this friend of mine, who is a Web designer, developer, programmer and even a graphic designer; the guy is quite good (he started learning all these from a very young age).

When I contacted him and asked him to teach me Web development, he said OK, but his fee is 120k for three months. I opened my mouth in shock.

Well, long story short, I negotiated, and he finally cut down the price to 80k saying it's because we are friends. He said he would be teaching me Css, Html, Java script and NodeJs. I don't know Jack about all of that, I have only built sites with WordPress, but I feel the price is still too high.

Are there cheaper options for me or should I just go with him?

If yes go with him with sense, because it's actually better to learn from a guru, than to sweat your ass swallowing knowledge that will obviously not digest owning to the fact that you know little in programming.

My advice find somewhere, i mean a known institution that can give you certificate for what you've learned (50-80) register or you can go the route 0f coursera they give certification too. PLS dont go near udemy their courses are crappy.

Take your friend as a lesson tutor, that money he is asking is too much, except he wants to give a certificate after the course...

This life is just a small place. You will think you are sharp but when the time is come, your sin will surely find you out.
Some weeks back, a guy saw my wares online and came around to pick some footwears since we are in same city. He kept on talking on phone with a particular girl (my girl) about the type of shoe she likes. Remember I just gave her a new pair when she requested for one. Not even up to a month.
So this guy selected 3 pairs of shoes - two males shoes and one female own. He just told me to packet them that he would call me when money comes in. Fast-forward to today, he called in the afternoon and gave me a location to bring the shoe that he went out with his girl and will be traveling in the morning.
I dressed up, picked up the shoes at the shop and dashed to the location only to meet him with my girlfriend.
I just pretended like nothing happened, passed the shoes to him. She was shocked to the marrow but the guy never noticed. He asked her to wear the shoe so as to see how it suits but she just told him that he shouldn't bother that it's OK.
He paid me and as I was about leaving, he called me back and introduced me to his girl. I told her my name like we just met and left.
That's just it. I'm out for good. I'm free

the way you broke up with her wasn't the best way, i can assure you psychological/emotionally you will not be ok, you should have confronted her in the present of that guy, i once broke up with a girl like, i was not ok for sometime.. You should told that guy the kind of lady she is or something. Now your family members who know about your relationship with her will think you were not probably serious with her with the way you left, to seek sane mental health, we must sort things out by communication instead of just walking away.... I wish you peace of mind and a better partner.. Don't give up on relationship
