npowerng: Please I have a question. I am a current NPower beneficiary batch B, since I am not eligible to reapply again, will I still continue receiving 30k monthly? If not, what Plans do the federal government have for us. What is our fate. |

Greetings from TORONTO ONTARIO, CANADA . Dear TRV Hopefuls, Canada is really very beautiful & coordinated, and believe me it worths the whole stress and time. I can see lots of refusals and I wish to encourage you never to give up. Yes we are all human and should respond to pains and disappointments of life but the question is, How strong are we to bounce back on our feet and pursue our dreams? For the fact that your first or second trial went south doesn’t mean you should give up. Kimon!!! don’t forget that Every successful man has a bitter story, believe me.. you will one day remember and laugh at all the problems, worries and sleepless nights you are facing now and realise that it was a mere distraction to your greatness. I made sure I responded to all PMs I received When I was in Nigeria, but I haven’t responded to the ones that sent theirs after I left. I will make sure I respond to your mails within the possible shortest timeframe. Best Regards, Dera. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

Good day and happy new month everyone. I have read a lot of priceless advices and help rendered on this wonderful platform, and I must confess- I’m truly impressed. I will be landing in a month time and can’t wait to share my own landing gist . Meanwhile, I know it’s going to be hectic for me as I don’t have anyone in or around my destination- St. Catharines, Ontario (Brock University MSc Student). One of my major challenges is getting an apartment, I have searched through kijiji and not comfortable with the available ones. I need help on other areas I can channel my research on, or i would really appreciate more if a Godsent on this forum who stays around my destination can help secure one for me and I will pay on arrival. Thanks so much!!! 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Thanks once more everyone!!! And to give back to the forum before I travel, I would like to willingly assist few applicants finding it difficult to secure MSc funding admission, including magic tips on how to charm a supervisor lol. Also note, first impression matters and that determines the rest of the positive interactions depending on the supervisor’s response. I was once in their shoes and I know how frustrating it can be, this is the best I can do!!! 9 Likes 1 Share |

ORIGINAL PASSPORT REQUEST!!! (May applicant) Experience is truly the best teacher, and my Canadian Sucess story made me believe the saying “EVERY DISAPPOINTMENT IS A BLESSING”!!! I know very well my story will motivate or strengthen some people never to give up in whatever that interests them, pursue it desperately like your life depends on it!! Yes I mean it. Before I proceed, below is my timeline. Online Application (2nd Application) Submitted May 9th (10:57pm) Upfront medicals passed on 11th June Correspondence letter (today by 10:12am) Original passport request (today by 10:32am) This experience is my most difficult experience in life so far, I have always thought I can have anything I want in life but this Canada journey taught me that “Human beings can make any plans they want, but it’s God that decides their Sucess or failure”. I don’t even know where to begin from, but only God, Myself and @frankrobbn1 can tell my tragedy-comedy story. So exactly a year today 20th June 2018, I submitted a paper route application and It was refused within 4weeks based on family ties, purpose of visit , personal assets and financial assets. Meanwhile, I have a Bsc in Biochemistry with overall CGPA 4.15 and last two year CGPA 4.71 , going for 2year diploma, paid tution fee $8,880cad. when I received my refusal letter, I cried that very day like never before and till date my first refusal date 18th July,2018 still remains the worst day of my life, and the agent my parents used was just after money. After crying, knowing how bad i needed to leave this country I woke from my comfort zone and began my personal research, this was how I came across this wonderful forum and started reading up! Through this wonderful platform I met an angel in human form, a motivator, my soulmate and my support system @frankrobbn1, may God bless you richly for me. Frank took his time to explain the errors in my application starting from advising me to secure a masters admission and that is nearly impossible to convince a VO on why diploma and not masters considering my high Gp, and secondly that my application is as empty as anything, I didn’t even submit my family’s information, no assets declared, no employment evidence and so on. So I began my admission hunt and the devil started his work. Almost all the schools offering my course/ or related course requires a supervisor , and you know how difficult securing a supervisor can be. Some schools I contacted will tell me pump and play that I must identify a supervisor before applying while some will tell me to apply that they will assign me a supervisor once am admitted! I fell to their tricks and lost my application fee, I also tried contacting supervisors all kept turning me down. I kept sending countless mails to different supervisors in different universities all to no avail, some would always come up late with their negative mails of not having space in their lab while some will totally ignore me. I got feed up and I decided to stop sending mails but to call them on phone at least to get a straight forward response rather than waiting for their response that takes weeks and at the end must be negative. I made it as one of my daily activities to call at least 10 supervisors daily, and I did this for months!!! Even the ones that later accepted to supervise me though without funding just all of a sudden will deny even knowing me after I have submitted my application hoping I have secured a supervisor. In general, I applied to 6 different universities in a space of 8months and all turned me down. I kept asking myself who did I offend? who is after my progress? Through this same wonderful forum I met a very nice fellow @agronat. Immediately he posted about him securing a masters admission with funding, i pm him to put me through, and that was how I realized the vital points/information missing out in my application and the reasons behind my refusals regardless of my high scores. And today am glad that my finally attempt landed me a full fulled scholarship worth $38,076CAD at BROCK UNIVERSITY ONTARIO , 2 years MSc in Biotechnology. Big thanks to @frankrobbn1 for recommending Brock University to me. I nearly craze that day (April 18th, 2019)!!! NB: the scholarship covers my tution and living expenses with extra left, I was also guaranteed a graduate assistantship position. Isn’t God great? This was when I realized that God was preparing something greater for me. Fast forward to my visa application, guru @frankrobbn1 finished work.. I personally wrote my SOP and LOE, but when frank was done reviewing it I couldn’t recognize my LOE and SOP .. lol, he reconstructed it and was even using the VO’s terms to address every issue. He sold me well and also left the Change for the Visa officer to keep. I can’t thank you enough.., even after I submitted my visa application he took me to a church where I was given 4 days dry fasting and prayers (something I have never done in my life). I’m not the churchious type but this journey brought me closer to God and will forever remain grateful. I will be traveling to lagos next week to submit my passport and at the same time celebrate this wonderful journey that ended well. Seriously my sleep tonight will be very special after one year of dreaming of CANADA Lol, and to @justwise thanks for making this platform possible. Below are the list of documents I submitted with my application: Father sponsor. Prayer is the Key. I wish all TRV hopefuls SUCCESS!!! 59 Likes 18 Shares |

Opana1: Yes it’s very possible for a VO to make a decision even within one week! Since you passed your medical and have received your biometric mail it seems a decision have been made. Keep your hope high and believe it’s a positive decision, in some hours time you will testify. Good luck! |

Omonoba1981: In this situation two things are involved; Is either your friend submitted a fake bank statement of account or there might be errors made from the bank the Statement of account originated from (though this is very rare, but on this case something can be done) But if your friend actually submitted fake bank SOA nothing like absolutely nothing can be done about that.. he will have to face the 5years ban. 1 Like |

chigo4u: I think google will attend to you faster!!! Why? I can recommend 5 Canadian universties/colleges and none wil be offering your intended course. (Or don’t you have any course on mind?) What you need to do is google all Canadian Universities/colleges offering your intended course of study, secondly, from the school websites you compare the tuition fees of the outlined schools, thirdly, since you are in a hurry and might not be able to wait for emails to be responded, you can put a call across to the graduate admission unit of 3 or 4 schools you must have selected having the least tuition fees. Ask them how long it takes to get a decision after an admission application have been submitted. Lastly, with the duration given from each school, you will then know the school(s) to apply that has both low tuition fee and fast admission feedback!!! 4 Likes |

cryptik: So sorry for your refusal, you need to share your profile. What program are you going for? and what was your previous program? Any study gap? And the rest. Just relax, take your time and repackage your app. More importantly, when reapplying don’t just focus on addressing only purpose of visit, try to still cover all angle. Some people on this forum have been refused on one or two refusal grounds, and when they reapplied tackling the stated reason(s), CIC gave them three or four extra refusal grounds.. though that’s not your portion. it’s a pity once more.. |

Bracha: Please read very well, it can come in either way... I have seen study visa refusal letters starting with “Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada”. If you want to see, I can share the image. I am 100% sure of what am saying.. @Geryworld don’t be too fast to unleash your anger on anyone. |

Greyworld: That can be a study visa rejection letter. Study visa rejection letter can also starts with “Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada.” And note, both study visa and visitor visa are types of temporary resident visa. |

Really? Someone was approved with 4M SoA, same school and same program, though I will try to improve on it. Thanks. I got a refusal letter,I addressed the refusal reasons based on the letter[/quote] What worked for Mr A might not work for Mr B, besides your application can’t be 100% the same with him/hers.. Have you wondered if the person have paid all his /her tuition fee and living expenses intact before submitting the 4M SOA, or even without paying if his/her tuition fee and living expenses is lesser than yours? so you don’t know what gave the person higher wings to fly over it. I suggest you don’t take chances, just do something to the SOA and be on a safer side. 1 Like |

marshallian50: It’s better you don’t waste your application fee. Don’t let that grammar confuse you because definitely before they finally accept your application you MUST identify a faculty member willing to supervise you.. so you see, it’s as good as securing a supervisor before beginning a formal application. I advice you to make sure you secure a supervisor before you apply so you can be on a safer side, but Godforbid no one accepts to supervise you after you have applied, that means your application fee is gone. Kindly contact potential supervisors in your department, if they give you a positive response very fine go ahead with your application, if they don’t.. then save your money and check other universities, as they can’t offer you admission without you identifying a supervisor. I was once a victim!.. 5 Likes |
