And you think they are the ones doing this?
These have he signature of The DSS a.k.a UGM
It's a simple strategy to make people see IPOB as the cause of their misery and make them feel they hate Soludo.Hence, his LGA
DSS unfortunately didn't plan it well.

Realist12:
Why , why are they doing this ? I expect the south-easterner to be more sophisticated, there's no ideology to this anymore , just madness.

Soludo, use your brain o so that you'll know where your enemies are shooting from
I don't see why IPOB would attack his community. Is today Sit-at-home? DSS couldn't even wait till tomorrow (when KANU will be arraigned in court) to use it as an excuse.

He told us at the presser that a barren draw was okay and he hoped to put smiles on our faces. Even that Simon was boasting. For my mind, I don dey talk say Ghana go hear am, see muscle .Alas dem cage am as usual.

They still had the guts to give out 20000 tickets free.Inviting Nigerians to come and watch nonsense.

Ikr not sure those idlers of our national team felt the loss as much as we felt self we knew what was at stake more!and that dumb ass of a coach too you know the away goals rule apply but you played a barren draw in Ghana when you should have taken the game to them and score an away goal at least!incompetent clown!

I disagree that he was lucky at the time. The guy was good. Simple!
'97 was between Atlanta 96 and France '98 and you were saying no quality players? Do you know the caliber of players that represented Nigeria alone (leave other African players)? Are you suggesting the Nigerian players, for instance, were not playing well in their respective clubs or they were not quality players? So Olise,Amokachi,Okocha(minus KANU who seemed to just return from an operation) were not quality players?

So Ikpeba can't criticize Osimhen?Because he's untouchable?

He should be behaving like Eguaveon who has been deceiving the public and giving us false hopes?
Whatever is happening between them in the NFF is between them.Even If Osimhen had scored those goals and we won, that doesn't mean people(Ikpeba inclusive) can't criticize him to make him better.
elmagnifico411:
We can go on and on with this argument.. u no go gree, and me sef no go gree, but the truth is, Ikpeba shouldn't have come out with those words. If u know what's going on inside NFF with our so called ex super eagles, you'd agree with me. Not that Osimhen was right coming out with insults, but then make big bros respect himself for him corner. What do I even expect from him when him and some other ex players are not in good terms? Mad I make bold to say again, "when he won footballer of the year there were no competitions. He was lucky" this era he wouldn't even end up as 5th..

Someone that should be remorseful and pleading on behalf of his teammates for disappointing Nigerians.

I read everything the Ghanaians were saying and I was waiting to comment after the match only to see one of the worst games in my entire life.

I didn't feel the loss immediately. It was at midnight i started feeling bad.Now this incorrigible kid is reopening the wound.
Carlyboi:
Yeah we haven’t had strikers like Aghahowa or martins when he first joined the national team in a long while can still remember his two goals against Rwanda which was his first match for us ..two pure finishers delight...we can’t even be talking bout Yekini in the same breath with these lots his record goals of 37 still stands after how many years now?Goals daddy!he is the all time king of Nigerian strikers!

If it suits osimhen let him keep

The praise singers won't see the bolded.
The annoying thing is the needless comparison between these crop of players and the '94 set.
The guy needs to be humble. He's just started.

As an aside, look at obagoal in Italy and imagine if he got all the support Osimhen is getting at the national team.
Carlyboi:
He no reach to Yekini ke?he was a still far from the finished article to be honest tho he’s very good and talented as a striker but he shouldn’t believe his own hype!he needs to learn how to play as a lone striker and better with the ball at his feet he doesn’t have to overcompensate with endless running..needs to improve on his shooting too!right now he’s pace, power and, height which makes him strong in the air he needs to harness that and work on his dribbling, passing and ball carrying!

Forget 80 abi 120million euros.Go to China and ask how much Old stars are being paid..Na today we don dey see over priced players for premiership?

You are talking about energy, people have different energy levels and CR7 is more energetic than some of our 20year old players. So that doesn't necessarily prove anything.

Even KANU with heart condition still played till about 45(real age). Take a 38year old Nigerian who has been suffering to EPL and see if he will not hustle more than Osimhen.

True, Nigerians use over age players but their their real worth is revealed when they are in the senior teams-nobody to bully easily.

Osimhen will now be tested in the senior team. For now he hasn't shown himself spectacular in important matches.

Go check Ikpeba 90' goal against Egypt enroute Atlanta. These are guys who can score from afar not Osimhen who if he's not dancing waltz with defenders, he's fighting gidigbo.
180 minutes of a crucial match, nothing unique.

The funniest thing I read was the bolded

elmagnifico411:
African footballer of the year when Africa lacked quality players. If Osimehn was old like u claim, how come he's still got lots of energy in him? Na today Nigerians don dey play with football age? Or think ikpeba played with his real age? If a player is really good, big clubs will come for him. Hope u know English clubs are looking his way now and Napoli are demanding 80 to 100m from Anu club that wants him?

Ikpeba confidence level low because of the way he reacted after that penalty? Guy, why you dey fall hand na.
I was waiting for you to reference the U-17 where we all know Osimhen was much older than those he was bullying. Maybe, you thought it was beans to bench J. Klinsmann around '94.
Osimehn is like a one-eyed man in the midst of the blind. Don't be surprised if it was back then, he wouldn't have don the Jersey for the senior team.If not for the unceremonious retirement of some of our players, who will dash Osimhen number 9 Jersey now? He prolly would have just finished with U-23 and would have been exposed.

Forget the hype, Osimhen no reach.Na average player with gragra
I hope you didn't forget he was African Footballer of The Year?
elmagnifico411:
I followed Ikpeba, and I know what I'm talking about. Isn't it the same ikpeba that held his head with his hands after scoring a penalty but was not sure it went in? Wasn't that part of why we lost the cup to Cameroon? An ikpeba who's confidence level is so low. Even as a prince of Monaco, he didn't score more than 55 goals in his 6yrs spell with them. Funny enuff, that happened to be the best he had in his career cus he was nothing to write home about @ Borussia Dortmund. Osimhen is a better striker any day. Why are we always thinking those guys of early days are better than the ones of now? Ikpeba was part of a very good squad, yea; if only we can go back in time and replace him with osimhen, u wouldn't say what you're saying now. U 17 record goal scorer na beans? Notwithstanding, I Don't support him insulting the man. But that wan sef for talk well, not trying to trade blame.
Sports › Re: The Controversy Between Victor Ikpeba, Victor Osimhen And Asisat Oshoala by derecho(m): 1:26pm On Apr 07, 2022
Clean passes aside. You don't need clean passes to show your prowess as a striker. The point is what did he do with the few he got?

I had to go back and watch the game.He had more than those chances but wasn't superb.

Talking about Ikpeba being part of the Technical staff, what will he do for him in front of goal, kick the ball for him?
All of them have their faults, the focus is on Victor's mistakes and (his uncouth response) the least he can do is take responsibility.if you followed Ikpeba during his prime, you'll know it's an insult to compare him with Osimhen.
elmagnifico411:
Ikpeba should go and sit down. Isn't he part of the NFF technical crew? What did they do to better the team? All they do is side talks and back-bitting fellow ex eagles. Yea, he's played his time, let him allow the younger ones have their time too. Some here said osimhen isn't even fit to tie his shoe lace. I think that's coming from a 'beef' point of view. Ikpeba had helpers in the team when he was playing, hoe many players do we have now that can supply clean passes? They will just be looking for faults where there's none. Later they will come and tell us that their hands are tied, there's no mich they can do, the players weren't the ones they hand picked. Juxtapose Osimehn with ikpeba in his prime, I'll definitely go for Osimehn. He's got fire in his bones!

Kikikiki,
You should have understood that there was space that was why he did his "tricycle" kick.
In an event where there isnt much space,a simple intelligent control can dislodge a defender.
Try to watch CAN 2000,on YouTube, watch little moves by Kanu even though defenders held tightly to him..Watch Aghahowa etc

The pressure was also on Ghana and they won't want to concede another penalty. If e no see person tell am, he played like a secondary player trying to get spotted by football scouts.

so there was no space and they want him to control the ball and shoot like the defenders there come watch movie, that last kick the ball was high and slightly behind him...what do you expect, abeg which player Sabi do bicycle kickhuh

Education › Re: FG Approves Establishment Of 12 Private Universities by derecho(m): 9:49am On Apr 07, 2022
You are funny but look at it this way
The government could wade in some of these since they own these public universities. Why aren't they correcting these anomalies?

Are they saying, Nigerians you are on your own? What is the fate of indigent kids whose parents can't afford these private universities? Pray for Scholarship?

I'm not in support of the stress meted on those seeking admissions but government can not abandon these schools and hands off. Besides, Jamb is empowered by the FG.

No problems if part of the problems the private universities are coming to solve is school fees. Education used to be the escape route for the poor but the future is becoming more bleak.

If the concern of the FG is to have more people get university education, Why can't the FG fund the National Open Universities more and allow people study online or remotely?

If you don't know, this is a systematic way of widening the divide between the rich and the poor.

Cognitivereason:
C

So are they now miracle centres for jamb?

Look have u tried u check online the requirements for admission in foreign universities even within Africa...if it isn't tedious will u see Nigerians applying in bulk and see majority being successful...

Look let be honest it not only our bad system that prevents foreigners from applying into universities in Nigeria....

It only universities in nigeria that will tell u to
Present ur O, level results with atleast credit in all in no more than a single sitting..
Many will say u can't combine two o level results..
As if that isn't enough u must apply through jamb and sit for the exams ...after studying and suffering to get let say 250+
Bastard nigerian universities will still say..u must visit the institution and conduct a screening
And u must pick them as first choice..2nd choice isn't even good enough..
U will see students travelling kilometers to do this...
..next they will still invite successful candidate to still sit for post UTME ...like WTF... huh
After studying to pass all subjects in o, levels and writing jamb again..
If God help u and u eventually pass...
U will asked to travel and come for another screening where u will be asked to physically present some useless letters and documents

Now imagine after all this .many will still be denied the admission...

Take ur time to reason....if this is how other government owned institution in foreign countries conduct their admission..will u see nigerians in numbers finding it easy going there?...

Or u think any nigerian even rich ones will waste flight ticket to go the school for screening and still flyback to Nigeria to wait for the admission?

In this era where ur jamb and pass in all ur necessary subject in waec or neco should be enough...and every application should be done online....
Some stupid universities will tell to even applying again in their website after applying in jamb...
And ask u to still come and present urself physically In the name of first screening...isn't that madness?

But when private universities now decide to ease the process like it is done anywhere in the world by only apply with only o, level and jamb results through jamb portal only ..and ofcourse not traveling distances to the school for any useless screening and they grant u ur admission sharp sharp once u meet their requirements..
Nigerians call them glorified secondary schools...
Education › Re: FG Approves Establishment Of 12 Private Universities by derecho(m): 8:58am On Apr 07, 2022
Post-utme is partly because of the prevalent cheating and "miracle centres" not necessarily because of space sir.
No one is saying Private universities can't perform. I believe in possibilities.

Cognitivereason:
I have seen aspirants rejected with my Koro Koro eyes...after scoring 290+ for medicine...and unijos disowned them...
I have seen some in FUTA who couldn't get elect elect after 270 in jamb..and ofcourse a good score in post utme...and dey come and dash Dem physics education.... nonsense...
U think if there were spaces..uni will even see the necessity conducting post utme ..if it not just to further fustrate students...

Am average 1.5m to 1.8m Sit for jamb every year...can the entire higher institution take such number...

By the way...it not ripping off .if any parents decide to pay 1m+ for a child's fee in a private uni rather than pay 30k in unilag.

Many of u think it only government institution that can deliver..and then other private uni are just some secondary school because their student don't go through the totally unnecessary hardship government students go through...

I started laughing when I got to 200million people as if the 200million people are the ones writing Jamb... As much as I won't want to dwell on that, the 200million includes the millions of graduates out of the universities and many who aren't planning to even go to university. So when next you bandy figures think well.

We've not even talked about polytechnics o.

Now to address the essentials,
How many people are in our Federal universities? And who scored 305 in jamb, passed post-utme and was refused admission simply because no sufficient admission space? Telling lies won't help you.

The bolded is subjective so I'll skip that.

Cognitivereason:
It unfortunate how u think 43 federal and 48 state universities are enough for over 200 million people
No be only by equipping them and motivating lecturers..how will someone score 305 in jamb and still be rejected because of no sufficient admission space..
U think high cut off mark is because the course is good.. absolutely not..it is because there are not sufficient space to absorb the demand
...if private venture come in and say they can take away some of the burdens..why deny them?

Secondly it takes time for private institution to be fully accredited same it is for public ones..inshort mention any public ones that have all it courses 100% accredited...this excuse is stale

And lastly
Not everybody is broke as u think...if those building these expensive institution don't see a market or class of people who will attend for them to make profit...tell me why dey still venture into it...or you think u are wiser than them
.
if private venture come in and say they can take away some of the burdens..why deny them?
This is a weak argument because it shows you don't understand the issue.Ask yourself the number of students in those private universities. Do they even have the requisite faculties to accommodate those competitive courses? Or you think we are talking about just going to do courses that you can study online?

Oga , we are talking about Universities not coaching centres.

Secondly it takes time for private institution to be fully accredited same it is for public ones..inshort mention any public ones that have all it courses 100% accredited...this excuse is stale
I wonder the logic in this. So why have more schools without accreditations? How is this solving the problem if not compounding it? I just tire for this kain reasoning.

Your last point is so watery. So the government should encourage those profiteering from the destruction of our universities?Encourage moneybags to fleece the already impoverished citizens?

Finally, if you have the money spend it on quality. You can even travel abroad or go the established ones like Covenant University.
