Do you understand who infidels are?You think everyone supports them? And who told you Muslims are more affected? There are many Christian communities in the north

For dia mind it's an achievement to starve the Federal Tertiary Institutions of funds and approve more private institutions where the poor will be forced to pay through their nose
Politics › Re: Kidnapped Alwan Ali-Hassan Regains Freedom From Terrorists by derecho(m): 10:17pm On Apr 06, 2022
Unfortunately, something more than poverty is driving all these.A wicked ideology to dominate or wipe out the infidels is at the core of this. The wealthy and the oligarchs are also involved in this.
Mooh247:
cool

Some day the children of the poor would rise up against the children of the rich

Most of these bandits are within the age groups of 18 to 30 born in 90s and early 20s... They were given birth to just to satisfy konji of their parents and thrown out on the street like used condom all in the name of Almajiri culture.. this kids grew up on the street and in the forest without Education , Agriculture , Vocational or livestock rearing skills

To make matters worse... Americans killed Ghadafi and now dangerous weapon can enter sub Saharan Africa through Libya without any authority stopping it... So the grown Jobless kids can either turn Iron Condemn Aboki, Okada riders or Criminal bandits

Leave him.He thinks every Yoruba person is a bigot. That's how they misrepresent Yorubas online.
He's busy fighting for how to keep igbos from the Presidency while many Yorubas are tired of Nigeria.
NigerianAngelo:
Why do you worship hausa/fulani? And who told you Yorubas can't vote Igbo?

Don't you know many Peter Obi promoters are Yoruba?

Do you forget fulani Buhari and Atiku lost all elections time and again till they were carried by the South??

Politics › Re: Soludo Appoints Odinkalu, Bianca Ojukwu, Charly Boy, 12 Others Into Committee by derecho(m): 8:50pm On Apr 06, 2022
90%? That's not true.
Most igbos won't want to stay in Nigeria if they can have their own country.
Chikeluba25:
Believe me, if there's is a referendum now, 90% of igbos will like to remain in Nigeria, Why? You can't be championing for the freedom you can't offer to your people

We're in Nigeria and there's no freedom in the East, imagine when we've been given the opportunity to govern ourselves

They have plans for the South and are with the codename Herdsmen.
They know if they unleash terror in this magnitude in the South now, it will hasten the disintegration of Nigeria. Ruga would have made it easier to
double their terror in the South.
carl90:
Pity!
My condolence to the victims of these terrorist attacks.
However,a question that is always on my mind is why these terrorists don't/can't unleash terror in Southern part of Nigeria , say , Lagos,Ibadan or the Southern states.
There is something fundamentally wrong with the Northern part of Nigeria when it comes to terrorism.

Jihad spearheaded by Muslim Fulanis Simple

Buhari and many of the northern Governors, who are fulanis, are in the know.
Since 2015 people have seen this trend and reported to Buhari.Instead of acting he was defending them and proposing Ruga.
Muric is busy campaigning for them in the SW while the SE Governors are playing politics.

Just because they want to wear hijab o.

I'm not surprised anyways. I wonder if wanting to deprive the owner of a thing from using it is not Haram.

When we remind them of the secularity of Nigeria, they'd tell us that they want Sharia in the North.Okay, allow others practice their faith, it'd become Christianization.

I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

Family › Re: Women Retaining Their Maiden Names by derecho(m):
Deep thinking.. Yes, because it requires understanding the issue.

There are many men who are carefree and don't see what's in it.For them, it doesn't matter so long as it brings them money. But a wise man thinks beyond money, he understands why he's doing somethings.

So you think it's a mere ceremony for a woman to drop her maiden name for the husband?

That some men allow it, doesn't mean it's not significant

Now to history,
which African culture allows the woman to keep the maiden name after bride price has been paid?
Do you even know what it means to be a husband in Africa?
You think it is now that you have feminists everywhere?

So taking your husband's name after marriage is Western? I'm learning something new today.
makizee:
What has deep thinking got to do witha woman kreping her maiden name, which one is spiritual implication again.. All untop of name she only uses officially. The whole changing of maiden name is actually a western construct.. Read your history, know your history.
Politics › Re: Tundun Abiola Blasts Sister, Hafsat, Over Yahaya Bello (Video) by derecho(m): 9:52am On Apr 06, 2022
I guess people aren't looking at how that could play out if he had won. Many were deceived by the gifts and donations. Nobody is talking about how he was accused of sinking Bibles in the sea and how he got his white boss drunk, took his pictures.. and was rewarded with the post.

The guy was a schemer.
safarigirl:
Because he had too many children scattered about and no proper family structure

See these ones now, half-sisters. He kept too many concubines, birthed kids wherever he found himself and had no plans on how their lives would be after his death, it was what led to all the fight for his property after his death.

This is the legacy of a wealthy, but irresponsible man.
Politics › Re: Tundun Abiola Blasts Sister, Hafsat, Over Yahaya Bello (Video) by derecho(m): 9:42am On Apr 06, 2022
Calm down bro..there are similarities between humans somehow.

However, people are looking at achievements and popularity. Yahaya bello maybe a failure but I doubt if he isn't philanthropic..Apart from Abiola's philanthropy, connection with the military, and contesting for presidency in 1993; what else can be said about him?

He was never a Governor or Local Government chairman. So where is all these ideas about this larger than life posture come from? All he had was his promises..nothing more.

His philanthropy was all. Let's not deceive ourselves.
Even Fela Anikulapo-kuti dubbed him ITT (international thief thief). How are we sure he wouldn't have been worse than the present day politicians?

I laugh when people talk about the freest and fairest election in Nigeria.Anyone who was old enough knows this wasn't true .
stamapro:
I am no fan of Abiola, but truth be told, there is no point of comparism between him and Bello, only that there is letter B and O in their names. How do you compare wall gecko (Bello) and crocodilehuh (Abiola)

She has to respect her father's memory but truth be told, her father was not any symbol of democracy. June 12 is just one of our Democratic experiments.

Abiola was "part" of the military he is trying to dissociate himself from.
JosephXavier:
Because of money, person wey her Papa na national symbol of democracy dey compare her Papa to a political hoodlum who has failed his state

I no blame Dem, they Don finish their Papa money and are looking for desperate ways to out food in their table

But upon how rich Abiola was, why is it that none of his children is doing very well unlike Femi Otedola
