Yureyes: I have searched my NOC based on my profession here in Nigeria. I am an optometrist, meaning I will have to write the board exam in Canada before I can practice over there. so I think it is unlikely I will get an optometry job offer from Canada. Can I get a job offer outside my profession? and will it be used to calculate my score? Getting a job offer in any profession from OUTSIDE canada is quite difficult although possible.. With a job offer, you gain extra 200 points and with a provincial nomination, you gain extra 600 points. but note, nothing good comes easy. You just have to try, try and try, try and try..... It will be alright. |

Yureyes: Please I have just 2yrs+ working experience including my NYSC. what chance do I stand to be successful in the Express entry? You need more than work experiences. You need to search for your NOC (Occupation, roles and job description), You need great Ielts scores, You need to get your documents evaluated too |

Nogen: My 2nd IELTS wasn't so good- L 7.5, R 6.5, W 7 and S 7.5. I lost concentration during the listening and missed 6 answers. I knew after the exam that getting 8 points would be a miracle. I got 8 in my first attempt and 6.5 for S, R , W. I did study for 2 weeks to get this new score.
How can one improve on reading? Any materials to use? The only way out for us now is Study, Practice and Practice even more. |

mzjennypher: Dear House, please i want to claim points for 3years i have one year in marketing(bank) noc 6235, one year funds transfer in a bank (i do not the noc), two years head of tellers noc 1212. pls i want to claim points for funds transfer officer pls house help with the noc. I just searched for FUNDS TRANSFER NOC on this thread and I saw a previous post by 40manlappy... I hope this helps.. There is no single noc for bank workers; your job description will determine the appropriate noc to use.
Since you are in funds transfer unit, you may consider 1114. It has job titles such as "interbanking arrangements officer" and "foreign interbanking arrangements officer".
