If person talk now they will say person dey defend Ebuehi but when you guys overlook certain realities it somewhat mischievous. Have you never been sick? Is recovering a one time thing? Please tell me what happened to Beckham and Zidane in 2002?weren't they declared fit by their respective teams. But was their performance up to their usual standards? So someone will just come criticising Zidane that ohhhhhh he was fitted coaches said he was fit. He played 90 minutes. He was woeful. If the person doesn't take into cognizance Zidane's fitness issues then he is sidestepping reality and should be rigorously opposed.

Pray tell me without going online the kind of injury Ebuehi had and where that part is located in the human body?

Ebuehi didn't perform . No one can deny that. But to totally exclude the fact that he has been unfit for two weeks now is to be unfair. That little doubt(as in his fitness issue) should necessarily be called into view as a possible reason why he underperformed.
Running all over the pitch like a drunken goat is not part of performance. Ebuehi is one of the best players Nigeria can field. His positioning on the pitch is superb. Though he appeared rusty, he was better than some folks on the pitch.

So what if most of Ogun's industries are owned by non-indigenes? The businesses of those non-indigenes contribute to Ogun's economy. Since when has foreign investment become something to be ashamed of? grin

And yes, IGR is not a perfect metric to measure the size of an economy. NBS/CBN stats prove states like Anambra and Oyo have more deposits than Ogun for example, even though Ogun generates far more IGR than both:
https://www.nairaland.com/3087723/nbs-report-bank-credit-deposit-states

But for the most part, IGR correlates with economic activity and any state that is serious about the so-called "restructuring" has to improve their revenue streams. Ogun generates far more IGR than Anambra or Oyo because while both latter states have a lot of commercial activity in the informal sector, Ogun houses far more organized private sector workers and residents from whom it can generate PAYE returns. It is helpful for infrastructural development if a state can generate more money itself than it receives in allocation. If you want Anambra to start looking like a real city rather than a big village, the state needs to generate serious money from all those tax-dodging traders.
The taste of the budding is in the eating. Let us for the sake of stupidity agree with you about the so-called southeast, would agree that the best restructure for the shithole called Nigeria is disintegration?

I have not seen any ball juggler or skillful ball handler in the Super eagle’s midfield since the retirement of Okocha and Nwankwo. Even fluid footballers such as Finidi George and Amunike are hard to see in the recent super eagle’s line up. I think Ihenancho could be coached to handle the function but he seems to lose his footings quite easily. Super eagles will have tough tine in Moscow without a fluid midfield.

THE IMPLICATIONS OF GENERAL TY DANJUMAS COMMMENTS: THE DESTRUCTION OF NIGERIA BY CHRISTOPHER HARUNA HAMMAN

Over the weekend I did not have the time to take a look at the news as I always do due to the fact that I made new friends and was getting to understand them and their personalities (again as I always do). Only for this morning for me to wake up to check my e-mails and social media accounts to find out that one of our great legends and a national icon all by himself had addressed a group of young people at their convocation and within the address called on people to take up arms in the interest of self defense.

General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma is a legend all by himself. Agreed. However, he seems to want to destroy the very fabric of the country that made him so. The middle belt of this great country is the great uniting factor that bridges the divide between the conservatism of the north and the liberalism of the south. It is the very region that ultimately decides who wins or loses the presidential elections. It is the very place upon which the cradle of our national unity is birthed. Then you have one of the greats from that region call for the taking up of arms. One would then realize that we still have a long way to go in uniting Nigeria.

One obvious truth about the herdsman killings which cannot be ignored is that they employ guerrilla tactics in order to maintain an upper hand in the fluidity of conflict. As such, the balance of power when it comes to victory always lies in the hands of the so called herdsmen. As it is always with the rest of state when it comes to putting together an appropriate response to the newly formed menace, the government will take some time before results from all they are trying to do start to show.

One may fault the current administration on many things (which I do from time to time, just check my facebook wall), but not on security. The one thing that I have found to be quite impressive is President Buhari's commitment to the ensuring of the safety of lives and property of every Nigerian.

General Danjuma has just shot himself in the foot. This is because this is not 1980 or even 1998 that people will forget his statements in a hurry. This brings to the fore the issue of the Generals'minders and communications advisers. Were they asleep when he made those comments? He has just influenced a whole generation of young people to fight anyone that does not resemble them either in tribe, interest or religion and has forgotten that the great state of Nigeria owes its very existence to the unity in diversity concept that makes us the powerhouse that we are.

We cannot ignore the Nigeria becoming Somalia comment. We should not forget that it is words like these from people like him that cause the very scenarios that made such places to become known for the carnage and destruction that occurred. Nigeria is too big for anyone who has become like a living demigod to some to wake up one day and call for civil violence on a massive scale. Imagine if every person in Nigeria who can bear arms to have a gun, imagine what kind of destruction and waste to human life can occur on such a scale? The military is right on this one and the restriction of arms is not a bad thing in itself. It is for our security nationally.

Probably it is time for the General at 80 to take some time off to relax and enjoy his family. Such comments that fan the flames and embers of national disunity with the hints of insurrection and are not needed especially considering the fact that next year is an election year or is General TY trying to tell us something that we need to know politically? Is this what the General wants to be known for? A conflict creator?

Nigerias' future depends on the ability of Nigerians to believe in Nigeria. It appears that even the General has stopped believing in the Nigeria that made him what he is today. And many Nigerians were hailing his comments and supporting the bearing of arms by the general civilian populace. Only if they understood the very implications of those comments. That is when and where you hear things like mass genocide, civil war and so on and so forth. Anybody who understands the results of warfare would be careful to speak when talking about such things.

We as Nigerians should believe in the politics of ideas. Not one of tribe, religion or separatist sentiments. Imagine if the Northern Muslims and Southern Christian Generals and National Icons also call for the bearing of arms. What kind of scenario would that create?

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. United we stand. Divided we fall!
To say that the writer of above crap is a fool remains an understatement. What is wrong when people of a country embrace the idea of self defense? So Nigeria can only be great when Fulani headsmen freely roam about in certain section of the Nigeria and wantonly destroy lives and properties unchecked. What type of mentality has most Nigerians seem to expose? If Fulani herdsmen can roam about in Nigeria with Ak-47 and the so-called great nation did not falter, I do not see while the country will evaporate when individuals of none Fulani ethnicity roam around with AK-47.

WotzupNG:
FIVE USEFUL IDIOTS AND THE SPIRIT OF THE ACCURSED SLAVE (PART 1)

"Useful idiot" is a political term which is often used to describe the misguided supporters of an unreasonable, irresponsible, ill-conceived and ill-advised cause.

First coined in western Europe in the late 19th century, the term was made all the more popular by its usage in Mona Charen's excellent book titled
"Useful Idiots: How Liberals Got It Wrong in the Cold War and Still Blame America First" which was published in 2003.

I believe that it is a term which adequately describes some of our politicians, leaders, writers and public commentators in Nigeria and as a matter of fact it is well-deserved.

Consider the following.

Two weeks ago and a day after Fulani terrorists slaughtered 35 innocent and defenceless people, including women and children, in his state, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state said,

"Fulani herdsmen killings in Kogi state is a family affair, we shall resolve it".

His tepid reaction attracted national and international angst and public opprobium but Bello apparantly did not "give a damn" and neither did he tender an unreserved and public apology for hurting our collective feelings or offending our sensitivities with these words.

There is nothing that I despise more than those with a slave mentality. And nothing reflects that pitiable condition more than Yahaya Bello's luke warm response to this utterly outrageous event.

Three days after the young Governor spoke these irresponsible words, the Fulani herdsmen, who were obviously encouraged and emboldened by his shameless disposition and the implementation of his cowardly policy of appeasement, struck again and killed a traditional ruler, his wife and 9 other innocent souls in Kogi state.

They burnt the palace and homes of their victims and as they fled they shot them, slit open their throats and removed their body organs and vital parts.

That is the price that is being paid and the monumental tragedy that has befallen the people of Kogi who are evidently stuck with a Governor that is prepared to sit by idly and openly encourage and espouse those that seek to wipe out his people from the face of the earth and take all their land by the force of arms.

There is no greater shame or betrayal of a mandate than this.

The only one that comes close to it is Plateau state's Governor Simon Lalong whose intervention, after the mass murder of hundreds of members of the indigenous population in neighbouring Benue state by Fulani herdsmen a few weeks ago, was equally shameless and offensive.

Lalong expressed the view that the blame for the genocide that was being perpetuated against the people of Benue state ought to be placed, not at the doorstep of their killers, but rather with their Governor, Samuel Ortom.

He went further by telling the world that he had warned Ortom about the implications of passing an Anti-Grazing law in his state and that by passing that law he had upset and provoked the Fulani herdsmen.

This coming from a Christian brother and fellow Middle Belt Governor!

Sadly, and as a graphic example of the grovelling appeaser that was compelled to eat his own faeces and the village idiot that was forced to drink his own urine, a few weeks later Lalong's own people in Plateau state, where he had evidently refused to pass an Anti Grazing law, were butchered by the same Fulani terrorists and herdsmen.

Is this poetic justice? I think not because the people of Plateau state do not deserve it. It is more of a tragedy of monumental proportions and it is indicative of the consequence of being saddled with a primitive, cowardly, insensitive and grovelling field hand as a Governor who fails to appreciate the fact that adopting the line of least resisitance and implementing the shameless policy of appeasement, coupled with the unconsciable display of crass weakness, attracts nothing but aggression and does nothing but encourage the bully and the aggressor.

Whichever school he went to, if any, never taught him that in order to preserve the peace you must show strength and a willingness to fight, even against all odds, when pushed against the wall.

Many in Nigeria appear to have failed to learn this basic lesson and that is why we are in the mess that we are in.

Sadly the perfidy and slave mentality of men like Bello and Lalong pales into insignificance when one considers the deceit, self-serving doublespeak, servile disposition and intellectual dishonesty others.

Let me give an example.

When the world called the Niger Delta militants, "Niger Delta" militants, no-one complained.

Yet the other day Pastor Reno Omokri (AKA Wendell Simillin), a notable columnist and public commentator who launches scathing, commendable and, I must confess, laudable attacks on the Buhari government from the relative safety of his home in the United States of America attempted to rationalise Vice President Atiku Abubakar's inexcusable faux pax by suggesting that Fulani herdsmen should not be tagged "Fulani" herdsmen, "Fulani" terrorists or "Fulani" militants.

Left to him we ought not to mention the word "Fulani" in this context.

His sordid attempt to becloud the issues and shade the truth has exposed him for what he is and has proved beyond any reasonable doubt what he really stands for.

It has also proved that he has no guts, no substance and limited intelligence.

Unfortunately this deplorable virus of unabashed mendacity, shame, servitude and slavery is spreading fast.

Prince Tony Momoh, a Buhari loyslist, the Minister of Information in President Ibrahim Babangida's government, and a man that I have always held in high esteem, appears to have also been afflicted and has said the same thing.

Last week he said the following to the Sun Newspaper.

“Anywhere you go to people would say we cannot go to farm because of the Fulani herdsmen. This is when as a matter of fact the Fulani herdsmen are in more danger than any other Nigerian. Do we talk of Igbo armed robbers? Do we talk of Yoruba 419ers and so on? We talk of all these as crimes and we should be talking of the killings as also a crime. But because of politics, we are going into areas to make our children believe that the fear of Fulani herdsmen is the beginning of wisdom. So what Othman Dan Fodio could not achieve when he was alive in Nigeria we are achieving it through communication and making our own children afraid of the Fulani. Remember that the Fulani are in the minority in this country".

Momoh has spoken like a true slave.

One wonders what has got into him, Reno Omokri, Simon Lalong, Yahaya Bello and all the other "useful idiots" who are falling over themselves to play down and obsfucate the hideous atrocities that the Fulani terrorists and the barbarians from Futa Jalon have unleashed on our people over the last three years.

Do they have to wait until one of their own loved ones have had their throats slit open, their blood drained, their eyes removed, their genitals cut out out and their bodies hacked into pieces before they see this whole thing for what it is and admit to who is behind it?

When a Governor says that it is "a family affair" when such things happen to the very people he is meant to defend and charged to protect under the constitution and when he does not call for justice for the victims of the carnage but rather says the matter will be settled amicably you know that you are dealing with an insensitive beast that is not only depraved but also sociopathic.

Worst still this is a Governor that has refused to pay the salaries of his personal staff and the state's civil servants for many months and that spends most of his time trying to lock up, silence, frame up and intimidate his perceieved enemies, even when they are members of his own party.

Forgive my strong language but there is no need to be diplomatic when you are dealing with a low life and an slowpoke. And the truth is that such a man is almost as vicious, heartless and unconsciable as the Fulani herdsmen that he seeks to serve and protect.

To those that cry more than the bereaved and take offence when the terrorists are described as "Fulani herdsmen" by others, one wonders why they did not complain about the use of the word "Fulani" when the respected International Terror Index described the killer herdsmen as "Fulani militants" and informed us that they were the "4th most deadly terrorist organisation in the world?"

.
Why did they not complain when the Chairman of Miyetti Allah, Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, the Sultan of Sokoto, the Emir of Kano, the Emir of Zazzau, the Emir of Katsina, Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna state, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state, Professor Ango Abdullahi, the spokesman of the Arewa Consultative Forum, Mafindi Danburam, the north-eastern zonal Chairman of Miyeti Allah, Garus Gololo, the leader of Miyetti Allah in Benue state and all the other Fulani leaders described the herdsmen as "FULANI" herdsmen?

Ganduje, who is probably the most forthright and honest of them all when it comes to this matter proferred a practical solution to the conflict by saying that all the Fulani herdsmen should return home to the core north and specifically to Kano where, he said, there was "plenty of grazing land for them all" and that, in any case, "that is where they belong".

Ango Abdullahi had a different perspective and went as far as to say that the Fulani have every right to take their cows anywhere they like in the country including to peoples private land, homes, schools, places of worship and farms.

He said that the Fulani herdsmen had no choice but to butcher and kill those that stood in their way because they had been given what he described as an ancient right to what he decribed as "cattle routes" which he claims were given to them by our ertwhile British colonial masters as far back as 1904!

He said that the Fulani were compelled to slaughter all the innocent men, women and children that they met because they themselves were often insulted, provoked, robbed and attacked by members of the indigenous population and host communities.

He offered no apology for the genocide, ethnic cleansing and mass murder that the Fulani unleashed on the defenceless and innocent civilian population.

And neither did he explain why they felt the need to specifically target women and children, to carve up their bodies and to remove their body parts.

Instead he simply said the barbaric actions of the Fulani herdsmen were necessary and he sought to defend, justify and rationalise them.

He also said that those who wish to stop cow-grazing and that are calling for cattle ranches have "forgotten their history", were "irresponsible and deceptive" and he ended it all by saying that "the north will never allow Nigeria to be restructured". (TO BE CONTINUED)

Femi Fani-Kayode cannot be more correct in his assertion that the "There is nothing that I despise more than those with a slave mentality". There is no better time to despise those with a slave mentality than in 1967 when the Yari.ba and certain southern Nigerian minorities joined the northern region to prosecute a war against their neighbors, eastern region of Nigeria. The result of the Nigeria/Biafra war is the progenitor of present day Nigeria.

OPEN LETTER OF RESIGNATION TO ODUMEGWU OJUKWU

FROM Robert S. Goldstein

Public Relations Representative of Biafra in the United States
(Published in the Morning Post, Lagos, August 17, 1968)
.

As your Public Relation’s Representative in the United States, it is my distasteful duty to tender my resignation based on the following points:

POINT 1 – In November of 1967 when we met in Umuahia, you and your Cabinet were very impressive. You told me of the woes of your little Republic, that thousands of people had died, were dying and more were prepared to die for freedom’s sake.

You and your Cabinet told me you believed world opinion would help your cause if you could get your story across.
You expressed the opinion that very few if any people in the United States knew of the plight of the Biafrans.

You asked me to tell the world that Britain had teamed up with Russia in a conspiracy with the Federal Government of Nigeria to murder every Ibo in Biafra. You suggested I use my talents to induce the Press to write about the Biafran side of the war, as at that time all news came out of Lagos.

You will recall I did not take the asssignment that day but stayed on several days before deciding to take that job.

To help win the peace

At that time I stated to you and your cabinet that I was taking the assignment making it crystal clear I would try my best to help win the peace not the war.

POINT TWO – I immediately arranged the first world Press conference in Biafra inviting the US Press as well as journalists and television people from England, France, Switzerland, Africa and other parts of the Globe. This was the first news break through. I arranged regular trips into Biafra for the world Press, helped set up stringers, etc., so that your statements and the statements of your Cabinet would be heard.
At that time, I was absolutely positive you were right and your cause was a just one in the best interests of the free world and your countrymen.

POINT THREE – Finally the Republic of Biafra was recognized first by Tanzania, then quickly followed by Gabon, the Ivory Coast and
Zambia. Our public relations work was paying off, world opinion was starting to side with us.

Peace talks were arranged at Kampala. I thought that if anyone walked away from the table it would be the Federal Government. But to my dismay it was Biafra that left the Conference. After all the fighting and killing, I knew that peace would not come easy but I could not understand leaving the Peace Conference until the last point was negotiated and the avenue explored.

POINT FOUR – Then urgent telex messages were received from
‘Biafra’ telling of tens of thousands of people starving in the refugee camps, the villages, the bush country – stating if something weren’t done in the next few months over a million women, children and aged would be starved to death. I immediately contacted the Press, urgently petitioned the State Department for action on their part.

Food, medicine and milk were sent to the only available ports open for immediate shipment to ‘Biafra’ via land routes through Federal and Biafra territory, under the auspices of world organizations such as the International Red Cross among others.

Then came the incredible answer from ‘Biafra’ that land corridors could not be acceptable until there was a complete ceasefire, and that an airlift was the only solution to feed the starving.

You then appeared before the various Heads of State and
representatives of the OAU at Niamey in Niger. I fully expected you to at least accept the world help that was offered your starving
throngs. However, you delayed, hoping to use these unfortunates with world sympathy on their side as a tool to further your ambition to achieve war concessions at the upcoming peace talks in Addis Ababa. Thus innocent victims continue to perish needlessly of starvation, the most agonising death that can befall any living
creature.

POINT FIVE – This was incredible to me. I am now convinced that I have been used by you and your cabinet to help in military
adventures of your origin….using your starving hordes as hostages to negotiate a victory.
If at some later date, following the issuance of this letter, you do concede to allow a mercy land corridor…would you expect me to agree to espouse before the world Press the incredible delay of your decision. What explanation could I honestly give for the needless prolongation of this horror.

Inconceivable acts

I pray this communication may in some small way influence you to move affirmatively, allowing the mercy land corridor to be born.

It is inconceivable to me that you would stop the feeding of
thousands of your countrymen (under auspicies of world
organizations such as the International Red Cross, World Council of Churches and many more) via a land corridor which is the only
practical way to bring in food to help at this time. It is inconcievable to me that men of good faith would try to twist world opinion in such a manner as to deceive people into believing that the
starvation and hunger that is consuming ‘Biafra’ is a plot of Britian, Nigeria and others to commit genocide.

POINT SIX – I cannot in all conscience serve you any longer. Nor can I be a party to suppressing the fact that your starving thousands have the food, medicine and milk available to them…..it can and is ready to be delivered through international organizations to you. Only your constant refusal has stopped its delivery.

I am this date, tendering my resignation and am returning to Mr. Collins Obih of the African Continental Bank all the fees you have given me (Letter of Credit No. 354 $400,000 US.)

I have sent your representative in New York a Bond in the amount of 800.000 pounds that I was holding in your behalf. I have also this date, sent the Bond of 200,000 pounds issues by the Central Bank of Nigeria back to them for disposal.

POINT SEVEN – I am now convinced that one Nigeria is the only solution to peace. I also call upon you Mr. Ojukwu to allow your starving people to be fed. Their well-being is of deep concern to me as well as other right thinking people of the world. Your acting in the utmost haste in this matter is in my opinion the first step toward any lasting peace in your country.
Did your so-called Robert S. Goldstein ever set foot in Biafra? Most Nigerian lacked the intellect of constructive reasoning. It is said narrative of the war is best told by the victor. It is unfortunate you make a fool out of yourself by hedging on crap written in Lagos in 1968. I know you could swore to the crap that Lt Col Francis Fajuiyi demanded to die with Ironsi. What a joke.

Throwback:
It will never be well with Ojukwu who remained plump and well fed throughout the war, but refused his people food supplies through the land corridor that was agreed to by Nigeria and the humanitarian agencies.
You are very ignorant of the facts.

What about exodus? The borders are open. You can go back to Jerusalem?
When Nigerians get to the point of exodus, we shall know those to be repatriated. I know for sure that certain peeps migrated from Oyo Ile, a distance of 30 miles north of Ilorin, Kwara State.

The term "Restructure" shall not hold until Lagos and Abuja are built in defunct Midwestern and Eastern regions of Nigeria respectively. The so-called restructure of Nigeria cannot be half-baked, it must be total and complete.

This is only idiotic country in world where the army continues foolishly to invoke their responsibility to defend the territory of the country when the people are called to bear arms. How does Nigerians bearing of arm for self defense translates into invasion of Nigeria? A democracy is also allow the people to defend themselves.

This sustainability thng. What is the source and how is it worked out ? it seems very skechy
Omo Kanda, yet some folks in the shithole called Nigeria will run short of suicide when disintegration is mentioned. How humanly possible that people who erroneously flaunt themselves as IGR maker are the same ones to develop convulsion when disintegration of Nigeria is slightly invoked?
