Crime / Re: Fulani Herdmen Attack Youths In Beer Parlour In His,kill 5(photos) by DerideGull(m): 3:32pm On Sep 25, 2020
It is foolish Gowon whom the Fulani and herdsmen used to sell the mischievous slogan such as "One-Nigeria". It is unfortunate these kid's fathers, brothers and even uncles fought a war against Biafra under the banner of silly 'One-Nigeria". These jackasses from southwestern and northern regions of Nigeria would want us to celebrate the idiotic day of Nigeria's independence next month. It is very moronic on part most to Nigerians to even insinuate the celebration of Nigeria's independence when certain goons at the leadership of the country do not want another group of people to achieve their independence.

I like the presidencies set by the dumbass from Daura, Katsina State as the president of the shithole called Nigeria. There will president of the Nigeria in future, if it survives the time, who will like to extend Nigerian railway lines from Ikom to Bamenda.

It is only a fool that sees a lion trying to open his car while it's inside and waits till the lion opens the door before he tries to lock it...
I have all the right to call all of us Nigerians in the southern basin foolish cowards... We the NIGER DELTA, THE YORUBAS,THE IBGOS have fed this country with oil from before it's birth, and most of what we get as a thank you is the degradation of our water and valuable land resources. Islands some untouched have been left desolate and a waste by oil spills..
$ 1•9 billion to be used to make a rail linking NIGERIA to NIGER for no reason could be used to by oil eating algae that would eat up the oil in our land and restore our fishing grounds. Or Better still be used for better purposes goes to opening aroute to our slavery...
Only a fool can't see what's coming.. this country will break and will do so very very soon .. just that it mugmi not end the way we think.. it might be a bloody war...
Why should we wait till there is a war before we raise a loud call for revolution...
SS, SE, SW are we cowards? Or do we only have power when it comes to fighting each other? Only fools fights inside a pit instead if trying to help each other out....shame

You sure have right to your opinion but it is not factual. Not everybody in the southern basin of Nigeria is coward. This cowardice honor can be reserved for people from the southwestern section of southern Nigeria in relation to this discussion. The southeastern section did not vote for Muhammadu Buhari and APC. The defunct eastern region of Nigeria saw the hidden aggression of the defunct northern region in 1967 and stood up to fight. Yet the southwestern region joined northern region to create the monster we see in Nigeria today. Southwestern region had voted Buhari and APC for two consecutive elections in Nigeria. It shameful for you to be economical with the facts. Please speak with boldness and shame hypocrisy.

South Africa managed to create world class roads, world class stadiums, world class Airports, world class bullet trains (Gautrain).
They build world class smart cities Such as steyn city, waterfall city, zimbali, etc.
They just completed to build one of the tallest building in Africa - Leonardo tower.

All this developments are done by black South Africans, if black South African can, it means Nigerians can also.

Nigeria does not have what it takes to morph into a developed country. It takes mental capacity to develop anything. South Africa is not developed by Africans. May ask you where have been hiding? Africans cannot think of development when they not love fellow Africans. Nigeria needs to disintegrate for a way forward.

Politics / Re: How Did General Ironsi Overtake Wellington Bassey In Rank? by DerideGull(m): 11:12am On Sep 23, 2020
1.LIEUTENANT WELLINGTON DUKE BASSEY (N/1): An Efik from Cross River State (now Akwa Ibom) who joined the army in 1936, he was commissioned lieutenant on the 30th of April, 1949 thus becoming Nigeria’s first indigenous officer. When Ugboma resigned, it meant that Bassey became the most senior Army number in the Nigeria Regiment. Now late, he would later be known as Brigadier WU Bassey. Camp WU Bassey and the Wellington Bassey Way in Uyo are named after him.

2. LIEUTENANT JOHNSON THOMAS UMUNNAKWE AGUIYI-IRONSI (N/2): He was commissioned lieutenant on 12th of June 1949 and would later become the first military head of state in Nigeria. He was assassinated in a coup in July 1966.

3. LIEUTENANT SAMUEL ADESOJI ADEMULEGUN (N/3):[/b] Like Aguiyi-Ironsi, Ademulegun was commissioned a lieutenant on 12th of June 1949. He was killed alongside his pregnant wife by Kaduna Nzeogwu in the country’s first military coup in January 1966.

One of the problem with entire Nigerians is laziness. The worst among the problems remains the intellectual laziness compounded with tribal jingoism. Even so-called institution called Nigerian army or armed forces, especially during the war, failed to make proper distinction between WELLINGTON DUKE BASSEY and WELLINGTON UMOH BASSEY. Such close related names are numerous in Nigerian army with silly mix and match by Nigerian authority. WELLINGTON DUKE BASSEY was Efik while WELLINGTON UMOH BASSEY was Ibibio. WELLINGTON DUKE BASSEY left Queen's Royal Regiment before Nigeria's independence. WELLINGTON UMOH BASSEY was commissioned in 1952 or 53 before Robert Adeyinka was commissioned. However, Nigeria and its officials found a way to interchange both men.

Dear Op.

The north is never backward and underdeveloped as your political leaders want you to believe.

The north is more develope than that Your igbo land.

You are only slightly Ahead of the north Academically.

But when it comes to backwardness... The East remain the most backward region in Nigeria.

Don't be decieved

I have never thought of agreeing with you. Most southerners are completely in the basement when political issues of Nigeria with respect to northern region is concerned. Northern region is very greedy and for a good reason though. They have managed to bamboozle most idiotic southerners to hate the only reasonable voice from the south, Ndigbo. By doing so, northern elites went to work. Northern region is like a Squirrel on the heap of loose palm fruits. The Squirrel will have more than ten palm fruits in its mouth, will clutch additional five and manage to drag one along. They know with time, the owner of the palm fruits will surely return. Even the Squirrel's nest is a mess with old and spoilt fruits, it has made very little effort to keep it clean which actually does not matter. In the space of time the zoo called Nigeria was created by the lunatic British, the northern region has moved from the stinking backwater to debatable metropolitan with resources solely sourced from the southern region. If the reverse was the case, it will never happen. Just for the inconsequential tin mine in Jos in the early time of the zoo called Nigeria, there were calls by the northern political elites for the southerners to vacate northern region of Nigeria. One of them publicly vomited his spleen when he stated it was better to hire an expatriate than southerner, particularly an Igbo person who is even more educated than the expatriate. Today, it is funny the goons kept shouting "One-Nigeria" to the moronic onlookers.

Politics / Re: Is The Nigerian Military Over Rated ? by DerideGull(m): 9:14am On Sep 23, 2020
A militia outfit or army which shows bravado on unarmed protesters is completely overrated. Nigeria as a country is overrated and its army should not have been rated talk less being overrated. The entire Nigerian armed forces could be easily defeated with a solid coordinated efforts of three (3) mechanized brigades supported with air and seaborn strategies.

Things are really getting bad in this country, from gallant soldiers shooting themselves and committing suicide to kidnappings in Northern Nigeria to brutal killings by unknown Fulani men.
The governors should seat up and do more on security to protect the life of her citizens

This is not matter of governors. The people elected the governor and the people need to do something about the herdsmen. The particular community or communities where these phantom herdsmen operate are solely responsible. The governors will not react until the communities decide to move not only against the herdsmen but the governor.

It is very silly to rush the media and cry about herdsmen atrocities. The community which give the gory picture of a butchered young lady should act immediately. I like it when heaven is about to fall on earth.

But some are more standard and popular than the other.
e.g
Lasu
lautech
OOU
aaua
Kwasu
Eksu

an average Igbo man has heard about one of those schools due to their performance.

but, Anambra state university abia state university

Enugu state university of science and technology is still more popular than those two

University is not about popularity or making silly noises about illusionary performance. Nigeria does not need to spend any cent in building universities but maintaining and upgrading existing ones. In addition, industries that require the services of the product of universities need urgent attention in my view. Nigerian universities do not produce anything other than applicants. The universities in Nigeria are not home of substantial researches and resident to no academic excellence. Nigeria is at bottom waste heap because its universities have failed the society. Most of the universities cannot qualify as pig pens in the USA.

You buy what you need for your terrain and threats. Nigeria doesn't need the Apache. It's too expensive for use. It's also very difficult to maintain in harsh environments unlike the Russian Hind and Mi series. These are killing machines.

It isn't the machines that are the problem of Nigeria it is the fragmented state of our polity where a large number of it's population want the state to fail whether they are ipob, bh or any other group. These groups undermine the efforts of the armed forces by stirring up dissent among the people ensuring that bh finds means and comfort within local populations and even the armed forces itself.

This is why by the time the airforce launches an interdiction, bh is long gone

The bolded is mark of failed state. Nigeria is a union with no unity. The blaming people who want nothing but out of the union is equally a failed strategy.
