Qassy4all:
Good evening
Who has been able to do online redemption on Stanbic IBTC money market during this lockdown?
And how long does it take?
Thanks in anticipation
I did on Thursday and I got my money that same day.

I got the number from StanbicIBTC bank customer care when I wanted to subscribe the period I opened my account with them back then. I was going to tell you to call them to get it but then I already have it so what's the essence. However, it concerns money and investment so if you are in doubt the best people to consult after this is Stanbic IBTC Asset/ Fund Management for guidance.

On redemption, it can only be possible online if you have set your security question and answer. The default online maximum withdrawal amount for an individual is N1m and can be increased to N2.5M.
So, how do you increase your maximum withdrawal to 2.5M?

Thanks, it's begining to make more sense now. So every single credit/deposit I receive, it attracts #50 charge?
Yes, except when the credit is less than #10k or when you send money from one of your account to another. You pay #50 naira stamp duty for every credit that is up to #10k or more.

What ever choice you make, dont just use Stanbic IBtc...Cos it will take them a lifetime to set up the account and when you do, it becomes an uphil task to fund the account even when yiu have the money to do so..
So sorry. Never really had any serious issue with them for about 2 years now.
I funded my account at 11pm yesterday and by 3pm this afternoon it was reflecting in my account.

Hmmmmm.
I think we should all read the millionaire next door and the next millionaire next door.
My friend working in Dubai is being paid 1.8m monthly and is planning to come back to his job here in Nigeria where he's paid 25% less because it was cheaper for him to live in Nigeria.
I just don't see what I need to spend 40k on daily. I live in my personal house in GRA, I have 24/7 solar power supply, my kids attend good Catholic schools, I have just two cars, sold the third a week ago for half the amount I bought it 6 years ago. I travel a lot and spend more money on buying fuel than anything else, on the average 70k a month.
I would same I'm comfortable on about 20k per day expenditure, even while budgeting.

Hello house, i was trying to withdraw a particular amount from my Stanbic IBTC MMF. The system declines the amount requested for and says '' The Minimum N5000 must be left in the account following a redemption''. Please, what does this implies?
You either leave a minimum of 5 k in your account or your withdraw everything.

I quite appreciate your response. But there is something about the rate of return I don't seem to understand & will the interest be credited quarterly like fg bond?
Thanks again
The rates are quite small and it varies depending on the number of years. Yes, you will get your interest quarterly.

I never knew it has existed for so long. I think I'm really enjoying doing naira tbs with them. I however do not understand what's with the eurobond. Any idea?
The Eurobond is a kind of bond investment ( like your FG bond) but you invest dollars and you get you interest in dollars. It was only added a few months ago.

I-Invest app Users, pls how is your experience with I-Invest? I know they are licensed with SEC nd registered as Inter- Dealer Broker but I need your candid statement of facts, do they pay the capital + accrued interest at the end of the tenor? Is it timely? No issue? I have been using stanbic and Axa Mansard mmf but I want to put some into T-BILLS (I'm constrained because am away so it's not possible for me to walk into bank nd subscribe; that is why I want to use I-Invest). I will appreciate your kind response
I've used the app for about 3 years now. I've not had any problem with them.

Anyone successful in completing registration via email without needing to visit the bank please indicate and help a novice brother grin.

Also I've been seeing KYC form. From my little search it means 'know your customer' ? Please how do I get this form? I already downloaded the stanbic MMF form from their website.

Also I'll be needing the FBN own any help on that?

Cc @Emmasoft cc @enque cc everyone

Please I need attention
You can get all the forms you want online or send a mail to their customer care and they will send it to you. You fill, scan and send it back.
For your KYC, their are some documents like ID card, Phcn bill, signature, passport, etc, you need to scan and upload. Usually the app will tell you what to submit.

Thanks for the response bro. It's the secondary rate. But if it is 10% then the interest should be 180k. Or is there a way they calculate it?
The 10% is for a year. Half a year will give you half of the 10%.

So I was doing a quarterly review of my portfolio and my numerous fund managers, I decided to track all fund performance for the last working day of September which is the end of last quarter, so below is a rank of how our fund managers performed that day.

For this quarter, treasury bills rate is dropping gradually and I don't see any reason for rates to increase anytime soon. I told a friend some weeks back that judging from the way that longer tenors in treasury bills was been over subscribed, that means the market anticipates drop in rates, if that is true that means rates for this quarter will be lower than last quarter
How do I get this Afrinvest Plutus fund?

Thank you Dr for your contributions.

I recently put to bed three months ago & my body hasn't remained the same ever since. I had swollen feets while pregnant & it took a while for them to become normal. However my skin on my feet started with a little itch & has escalated to terrible looking scars & darkened itch, rough , black patches because of constant scratching. I itch sometimes that I even bleed in the process. I saw a gynaecologist & was administered skineal. It looked like everything was fine till after 2 weeks when my skin grew resistance to the skineal.

It's now always itchy. I have stopped f using hot water or soap ..I cry almost every night cos I have used different cream from hydrocortisone to antibacterial to meprasil, sudocream, calamine lotion etc.

After much personal research based on the symptoms, I began to suspect it has something to do with my thyroid.

I plan on seeing a dermatologist this week cos I'm frustrated but I'd just like to know what your thoughts are knowing how difficult it is to access dermatologist in this country.

Could there be any correlation between thyroid & skin issues

My blood sugar level is fine cos at some point, my doctor was suspecting diabetes

House pls share your thoughts. I can barely look at my leg skin twice cos it irritates me & is making me almost depressed.

Sorry for my epistle. I just had to let all out

@Desanta
Disorders of the thyroid gland can cause itching. However, there should be other symptoms or signs of thyroid disease. I think you should see a dermatologist (Available in every goverment teaching hospital), who would assess the skin lession and ask further questions to rule out thyroid disease.
If it will make you feel better, do a Thyroid Function Test to be sure that you don't have problems with your thyroid gland.

Good morning Dr. I would love to seek your opinion on something. I started having feelings of anxiety and depression last year December. I didn't quite understand it at first but it persisted. I was experiencing fatigue, low mood, memory issues, slurred speech and other symptoms. I was depressed and always anxious. I did some research online and found out it could be depression or hypothyroidism.

I saw a GP in March, He said my symptoms were similar to depression so I was placed on antidepressants. I told him I felt something else must have been causing it because I dont believe it just came out of nowhere. I took the drug for some months, I felt a bit better but I wasn't still okay. The drug was causing a lot of side effects, so I stopped taking it.

I'm planning on doing some thyroid function tests this week to confirm that. I have a feeling something is wrong with my thyroid. I'm still experiencing those feelings and thoughts but I hope the test will reveal more. Recently, I noticed a bit of lump in my throat.
I would love to know if my thyroid is causing these.
Thyroid disorders can cause a lot of mood changes, depression being inclusive.
To confirm any problem with the thyroid gland, you will need to do a Thyroid Function Test ( Thyroid hormone profile).
Based on the result, we decide what to do next.

Please house I'm contemplating between 2 things.

I have a few tbills running in my bank and I have a target of attaining up to 20M with the idea of getting 2M yearly @10%.

I also have a life assurance running although I'll say I regret delving into it cos the roi after 15yrs isn't worth it but my account officer practically opened up to me today that he'll prefer I do annuity for life as it pays more than the current policy I'm dealing with.

Here you determine how much you want to be paid for life after 50yrs. For eg, I told him I'll love to earn 500k monthly from 50yrs and he calculated approximately 1.5M yearly to be paid so that as soon as I clock 50,I'll be earning 500 monthly which is 6M yearly. Although I'm 32, I'll have to pay this sum for 18yrs which he explained it's a deferred payment since I'm not 50yet

Question is...... Is it a good idea to do this or is there anyone knowledgeable enough to throw more light into this? Cos it may look better than tbills buthuh??

Hello everyone,

If a firm gives a dividend of 300 kobo per share and I own 1,400 worth of shares, am I getting #420 or #42,000 as returns? If it's the former, how much number of shares is it economically best to buy as a first time investor into the market?

I ask because I find the dividend returns absurd and would like to know the amount of shares to purchase which will be significantly higher.
You get #4,200.
