What do you think is CBN's endgame in all of this? It is now clear to even the blind that a lot of Nigerians with free income will rather now still put it in the real sector of the economy.

I was having a chat with a friend of mine the other day and he was asking why the very rich Nigerians do not invest in startups, most start up grants in Nigeria come from angel investors abroad, why?

I have a small company that gives loan. If you know the trouble my marketers go through to get the loans back!!
We even gave our debtors 3 months of grace because of the lockdown, but it is still one story or another. We had to seal up some shops with the aid of police men.
Some are even prepared to go borrow elsewhere to clear their loans so that they can apply for a bigger loan. Can you imagine, taking me for a fool.
So my dear, it's not all about money. It's about trust and conviction. And in Nigeria trust is a rare breed.

He called me to come and official write for it to be cancelled 2 weeks ago at a branch that was very far from me,I then told him to write on my behalf and sign with my initials which he called me back to tell me it was done that it was just a matter of days.
This is 2 weeks ago.
I even tried withrawing from the loan account October ending and discovered that it has already been blocked with the complete money in it.
They blocked it and still held mine.this is just plain wickedness.

Send a mail to their head quarters and copy CBN. You will get you money with 2 working days.

The guy is trading with your money.

Like, did you incorporate as a LLC?

Is there a plan to scale up, maybe have a chain? List on an exchange or float debt instruments at 11%?

Yes it was registered as a LLC. We plan to expand into several chains and state, but it must be strictly for economic and not emotional reasons. I'm very much interested in the numbers any business can generate legitimately.

Guessing this was in a prime location as Valuation of the property would have been the key factor. Good job and hope the hospital is still doing well in the current economy.

The property was worth over a 100 million Naira and we got it at a discount because the original owner is late and his children who lived abroad where not ready to come settle in Nigeria.

The hospital is doing very well with rebranding and employment of young consultants as partners with shares iin the hospital.

Good thinking.

My friends and I bought a 50 bed hospital just by paying 20% while the bank paid the remaining 80% after going through our proposal on how to pay back the loan in 5 years. The loan was paid back in 4 years.
I

The building served as collateral and the bank held the papers until the loan was cleared.

I am 34 yrs and relocated as a single man to Canada last year. I must say one of the mistakes I made was not converting my entire money to USD and save it in my Dorm account before i left. I travelled with $13,000USD and left about 5.4m in my account. I have been getting an interest on the money ever since I left. Right now I don't intend to change it to to any USD. Initially, I was thinking I should convert it to USD and probably use it as down payment for a house here but I have decided that I will invest the money in Nigeria. My plan is to invest it through the compound interest method and add more money to the investment as time goes on. I don't intend to live in Canada forever but I want this 5.4m to be the basis so that after 15 to 20yrs, I can fall back on something when I return to Nigeria. My bosses in the house, Pls what will be your advice. I will indeed like to target the interstate compounding investments. Thanks.

Invest in Eurobond.

No no no! From your question I realize you are not a roofer, you can't give out what you don't have!
The only way you can help your friend is to ask the roofers here to tell you amount and quotation of aluminium to use provided you have the dimension of the roof at hand to avoid rip off, not trying to do what you don't even have idea of.

That's exactly what I want. I'm not a builder. He wants me to give money to his friend who is a carpenter but i need to know how to bargain with the friend.

Are you a roofer or a DIY enthusiast? When you offered to do the job instead didn't you have the answers to the questions you are now asking? Why did you offer to do the job if you don't have the answers to the basic questions you are now seeking?

Are you sure you are a roofer or a pretender?

I'm not a roofer I just want to pay for it.

A friend of mine wanted to roof his house with 18 bundles of zinc but I told him I will do the roofing for him using normal aluminum. My question is what is the size in terms of square metre of 18 bundles of zinc and whyis the cost.
Secondly what is the cost of wood and labour to do the work.
Thanks in advance.

Simple, Just click the link on my signature and complete the form online. As you click the link this time, pick VGIF among the products displayed. I will advice you to add stockbroking in case you have plan to invest in shares in the future you will not need to fill the form again.
The way it works is that an investor can decide to open more than one product account at a go otherwise you have to be filling the form each time you want to invest in any of the product.

N.B: you don't need cash to open any of the product account and the accounts can be funded at a future date when money is ready. Product accounts don't go dormant
My phone number is also on my signature you can call or chat.

Done.
