Iyaebe:By church wedding, you mean 'foreign culture'. Holding sway over indigenous identity. Such folly. |

It's quite obvious the husband was this busy while she was having time to herself when they got married. She wanted time to advance yourself yet she went ahead to sire five kids. And I'm quite sure the spacing isn't much. So at what point did she intend to find time to work on herself? It's at this point that confusion over what she really want began. ![]() |

Zenithh:What you see there is full fledged democracy. APGA candidate outclassed both national heavyweights in APC and PDP. Politics may not be our business but democracy is. In its purest form. |
ezenwajosh:Good Question. |
Messi was hardly mentioned in the article so I think the headline is quite misleading. But Lewandoski is clear favourite for the award. Poland didn't do much of note (understandably so) and Bayern may have stuttered a little as a team last season; but they still hauled in 4 trophies, one or two of them being major trophies, and Lewandoski had been on an astounding run of various goal scoring feats over the last two years, powering his team to these achievements. And he's still on form as the competition runs on. His closest competitor, Messi, finally overcome the senior international hurdle, and had an amazing run last season too, but couldn't achieve much with his club side, as they ended the season with just a trophy (domestic cup). And since his switch to an easier league, which was expected to boost his Ballon d'Or chances, he's been quite inconspicuous, unlike his usual standards, since August. So, I think it's a clear hit for Lewy |
abbey621:Lol. Lazy fellow. All through all numbers were crunched by me. I even uploaded my manuscript in the last post and invited you to fault them. This is what you could offer. How do you live with yourself? Claiming what you are not? Who are you trying to impress? |
abbey621:I'm trying hard not to digress here. I think you've been running away from reality for too long. I clearly told you that before here.. DesChyko:You see those + in between those two numbers in each row? Separates the goals from assists. The larger numbers on each row is the team total goals. The percentage is on each side. You can add up and see if the average don't tally with 24% Now, forget about this L talk and get serious. What did you intend with the Atletico numbers? As it clearly shows Griezmann taking responsibility for his team's goals. Something Drogba struggled to do half as good as he did.
|
abbey621:No.. The 24% is for his goals and assists since he contributed both to his team's tally. (I already told you this before, yet you missed it) |
abbey621:Don't deflect. You suggested Atletico. Please make the point you were trying to. Griezmann made 40% of his team's goals. Please use it to, justify that of star man, Drogba and his mighty chest for 24% of his team's goals. Brief reminder is that Salah is at 43% of his team goals currently. |
Oh, you thought those initial numbers were for Drogba's goals only?? His 'chest' was also figured in o Goal contributions = Goals + Assists nah. That has been around since time immemorial.Statistics happen to be one of the double major in my first degree so I guess it was my calling after all. Anyways, your error is forgiven ![]() |
abbey621:Since you asked me to go check, I have. Let's look at the goals contribution of Griezmann then, who played about 5 seasons under Someone. The other options(with fewer seasons) are Costa, Falcao and Suarez if you prefer. 2018/19: Antoine Griezmann (23) - 41% 2017/18: Antoine Griezmann (28) - 49% 2016/17: Antoine Griezmann (23) - 33% 2015/16: Antoine Griezmann (27) - 43% 2014/15: Antoine Griezmann (23) - 35% Yielding an average of 40% of his team's goals in his stint as Atletico's forward. Now, Chelsea definitely have way more goals and with Drogba's at 24%, you can now make your point. ![]() Furthermore does your 9 years(8 actually) include the two to three years spent as playing mainly as a sub, does it also consider that half of those years he played less than 28 games in the PL?9 - 3 = 4. 8 - 3 = 5. 9/2 = 4.5 8/2 = 4 Salah on the other hand is about completing his 5th full season for Liverpool. Yet he won't match Drogba's appearance come season end. But are you indirectly implying that Drogba isn't a regular for his PL winning side? ![]() |
God bless the donor. It shall be well with you for being so considerate to fellow citizens at this time. |
Someone that is still hustling RUGA for the intelligence arm of his brothers ![]() |
Maxymilliano:Exactly! How many such contraptions already have people in them if all they had to do was just approve and sit back ![]() |
abbey621:Lol.. You're quite lazy though. I gave you research never done before; stating objectively why Salah is probably the better individual the PL recognizes, and corroborated by PL itself and you're countering with 1. comeback goals (without any definite count) 2. Drogba's chest (conveniently ignoring that every basic attack originates from the first kick) 3. Rooney Vs Henry (ignoring longevity and main role played) (You forget even Lampard is ahead of Henry) 4. Defoe Vs Owen ignoring longevity Come to think of it, Drogba is a forward who spent nine 38-game seasons in PL but never managed to score more that 12 goals in seven of them. That's why it's so easy to breeze past him ![]() Use the time you use to code in insults to actually create at least, one solid point devoid of whines. Look at all we have exchanged so far; your submissions are amoeboid at best. So tainted with emotions. You're probably a Chelsea fan . That's only what can account for this wisps of defence you're putting up.Anyways, this discussion will be fossilized come season end. I'm sure of it. |
abbey621:I get your drift. Drogba's fourth league title came at a time when he was more or less a passenger in the team, but let's not deny him that right. But it goes to show you can't just use team achievements to certify a player and condemn another. That is why Harry Kane is of a higher value than any title-hoarding forward in the PL. Their contribution to their team exploits matter more. I for one, appreciate team effort though in bringing home titles, granted that there are standout performers in each and every game. Now, I will remind you that you actually put Alan Shearer as a great (ahead of Drogba). You may want to look up how many title he has. Drogba's PL goals form 24% of his club's PL goals as a forward while Salah's PL goals form 43% of his club's PL goals as a forward. In addition, Drogba won the PL top scorer twice in this role, and this has been equalled by Salah. Drogba's two time appearance in PL TOTY has also been equalled by Salah. So when it comes to dominance of both players in their positions in the Premier League, it appears even, despite the difference in their games. However, Drogba was never named as PL Player of the Month or Player of the Year but Salah has emerged PL Player of the Month thrice and also been named PL Player of The Year. This shows disparity in how their performances standout amongst all players in a given season. Salah clearly holds the aces there. So there you have it. It may be all numbers to you. But it is devoid of bias and colour. If you put in Coach's playing style, you may also want to add, player's fitness, home/away and any other factor that can limit player's performance so it's better we just stick to what the player actually offered ![]() |
abbey621:Need I remind you that the basis of this is Premier League?? All these other cups you're shipping in were never in the discussion. For one who prides so much in flaunting the word 'adult' around, you seem not to be able to focus effectively. That's hardly an adult thing but let's not digress. This is, from the beginning about their PL exploits. Drogba won 4 titles with Chelsea, fair play to him. Salah has managed one with Liverpool, fair play to him too. Difference is, Abramovic set all of that in motion in just a year of buying the club. Liverpool were actually gargantuan since but couldn't in all their PL history until Salah and co. made it happen. I for one, appreciate team effort though in bringing home titles, granted that there are standout performers in each game. But let's get down to the specifics. How did their goals as forwards matter to their teams, with or without the titles? |
Uyi168:I did it o. And simply because my phone got damaged, I haven't used Facebook since March until date. |
abbey621:Yet another post without any unique reference to the subject at hand. Who's clowning now? Oh, and by mentioning Gerrard, I meant he's probably the next person he might overtake this season should this form continue. A simple reference to the all-time scoring charts that brought about this comparison in the first place. Sorry you misread that. |
abbey621:Suarez isn't regarded as a PL great, maybe relevant to Liverpool but not to the PL since he really didn't make much of an impact before swapping leagues. Henry and Van Persie are way ahead of Salah when it comes to PL goals, and if Salah continues this form for about 2/3 more seasons, could well be in the conversation and why not? Drogba is already out of the conversation. That's just it. He was a key player to Chelsea's Galactico side and their successes and that's about that; Salah didn't have it that easy at first. And it didn't stop him from making his mark.
|
abbey621:Not once did any relevant player surface in this rebuttal. Says much about your intent to spar with mud smear and not facts. ![]() By the time this season is over, it will be a question of himself against club legend, Steven Gerrard; in just 5 years of signing with them. And you dare to think Drogba actually edges him now that he's already in the rearview mirror. |
abbey621:The topic clearly stated: "WHICH AFRICAN FORWARD IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE WOULD YOU CHOOSE?" Stop smuggling in De Lima who is neither African nor played in the Premier League. That's being clever by half. This is just season beginning..and if his form is anything to go by, this argument will be with someone else better than Drogba as far as Premier League is concerned. And hiding behind Indomie generation whatever instead of stating facts will fool only who wants to be fooled. |
abbey621:Do not hide behind De Lima. It's Drogba we are talking about here. Not a three-time world best winner. Drogba had more shots but a lesser conversion rate, that's why Salah's ahead of him. But Salah isn't your conventional winger. He's Liverpool's main forward. |
Lamasta:It's actually a team achievement and Egypt don't exactly ply the better players in the continent now. But Salah's individual contributions in the premier League dwarfs Drogba's in fewer games. Salah also has more in another relevant league.
|
Mo Salah is the realest deal. |
numericalguy:When will you be arrested for causing so much apathy over the idea of 'Nigeria' through your utterances? Yeah, that's how absurd your comment sounds. |
