There was a question I put out in that series which you avoided answering. What stunning PL achievements had not existed before Pep came in? Winning 4 out of 5 PLs isn't new to PL. It has been done before. Most recently, Three different times by Ferguson. by the same manager. The same Ferguson he is being 'casually compared to'. Stop throwing dominance around. We have lived through dominance. Is it surprising that they did it? Of course not. They've always been close to winning, even in the years they didn't win it. All teams who have managed back-to-back wins have that in common. They've always remained in the top 3 consistently. In the first six years under the Sheikh, before Pep, the only time Man City finished outside the top 3 was the season before he was brought in. Before then, they always finished in the top 3, winning 2 out of 5 PLs. In 5 seasons under Pep, they've won 3 out of 5 PLs, remaining in the Top 3 all the while. Man City are more formidable now, but they weren't from ground zero unlike a number of sides who eventually won the PL. The purchasing power can be matched, but it was never matched and Man City certainly have the goods to show for it. It's a lesson for other clubs to pick up their recruitment to get where they want to be. Arsenal don't really spend as they should, and you can't even compare them to Chelsea, whose consistent successes started way way late than Arsenal's. In Man United's defence, you could take a stroll through their spending a decade before the Sheikh and you'ld see that it has been low compared to the successes they've had. It's what they are paying for until date as they players were allowed to age and burn out to create a new template for the new boss, without the consistent recruitment to go with it. That's a club's poor decision making. In others' favour. I do not like to talk down Pep so. What he has done is amazing, in just 5 years of being here but come on, this is the PL, where a number of sides, Man City inclusive, have tasted enviable success along the way. It's not a two-way horse or worse. There have been many managers who have done clearly astounding feats in their own rights. There are many clubs who could take their claims to the title. The standards are a bit higher here. The pockets are deep too. |
The first screenshot is the top spending club on player transfers from when the Sheikh came in, before Pep came in. Man City were top spenders. The second screenshot is the top spending club from when Pep took over until date. Man City are still top spenders. Man City is a formidable side now and the consistent spending plays a big role in it. Pep Guardiola is one of the greats in football. But Man City transformation began and is sustained by the Sheikh's pockets. What trophy had Man City not won before Pep came in that they have now? What stunning PL achievements had not existed before Pep came in? By what modality is this dominance word being used? It's not like he picked Man City from the gutters.

I think you should. That way, your productivity can be accurately measured with the time you have alloted to your different workplaces. To avoid being labelled lazy |

Sounds like good news to me. As the days go by, he's unleashing more hardship. If we are to expect nothing more, then it's good news |

They may have been allowed to wear it before examinations but were prevented now because they could conceal things in them. |

May God console the bereaved. We can never be careful enough when it comes to children. |
I once sought employment in this school. Was promised a call but didn't get it. Now that I emerged the NAPPS second best private school teacher in Lagos State, I think it's their loss, not mine. One thing I know I detect early and have a strong policy against is bullying. I was a victim of that during my secondary school days and that drives me to quell it with every fibre of my being. |
A couple, as the first line said. Others are just information about the couple that went for the picnic. |

Lemmy123:Lol.. What a stupid comment ![]() You must think it takes a fool to make any FIFPro XI in his career.

Tingotoe:Even when you're in Primary School, the person who would write stupid words on the board, would not be as stupid to attach his or her name. |
paulolee:First of, every human is smart. Just that the degree of smartness is different. It's a great thing you agree with IFFHS in this instance. The real question is, do you actually agree IFFHS have a great reason for their analysis? How can you successively use Messi being an adept goalscorer and a great creator to adjudge him better than others before him. And neglect the same reality for Bruno and De Bruyne where Bruno is as good at scoring as he is at creating chances for his teammates? Did you also know that IFFHS rated Lewandoski as the world best player of 2021? He also was named best player last year. But you've repeatedly downgraded any opinion in favour of this. ![]() |
paulolee:'France Football magazine.' Jorginho won the UEFA award. |

The headline is even more sensational than the content. Could have been an audition of some sort. |
