Gave up on mercs a while back cos of some nut job I had as a mechanic so switched to Toyota drop light then the SE V6 (which by the way spoilt me) time for an upgrade (2 years max on any car I don't care the story) so which car? saw an ES Lexus and was like even though the face of the car no make am I'd buy. Was going to settle for one I saw here on nairaland after driving one for a couple of days thanks to one of my friends who has something similar. That was how alhaji called me that a friend had a c class for sale. out of respect for the man I went there believing there was no way I would take the benz...long story short, test drove the car in surulere along one of those untared roads omo are suspension! before that when I tried to shut the door see as door heavy. hmmm I need not spill too many things here you should test drive a merc first then understand true luxury. settled for an E class afterwards and guy I no go deceive you khaki no be leather. With the star diagnostics tool that mercs now use I'm very comfortable with owning one now. upgrading early next year and you know it...if theres no star in front of me as I drive...I ain't driving.

Next time you see that merc guy smiling arrogantly behind the wheel just say a prayer for him cos hes got more than a really good reason hes smiling.

Otta, 2003: Sunday afternoon, went to drop off dad's car at the mechanic, had no change(bike fare was #30 and I had a #1000 note on me) and decided to enjoy a walk home. I decide to explore a new route and, viola, I come upon a business centre and decide to put a call through to a friend make we for hang out; see we had phones but no airtime in those days.

Someone was on the phone when I got there so, I had to wait my turn. In the meantime, there was a lovely looking gyal sitting by the side eating ofada rice and as I was hungry I asked to join, and with the most dazzling smile made to give me the dish, I said thanks and said I was kidding and asked her name which she told me. So, I put my phone on silent mode, took their phone and dialled my number twice and told them the guy didn't pick, I totally forgot to call my homey.

I get home and dial the number and asked to speak to her, it turns out she was the daughter of the phone centre woman and I only had the chance to chat her up because mom was attending to another customer. Anyway, her mom tells me to call her own phone and I say it's not going through. She hands over the phone to daugjter and I proceed to introduce myself "erm, I'm the guy that asked for rice now now. Please, don't hang up". Somehow, she found it funny and the rest is history. We're currently trying for baby number 2. Hehehehe.

Eyop: You welcome sir. Am glad you've seen that on youtube and was easy for you to have that sorted out,but was there any improvement after cleaning/replacing the filter? As for the leakage,let's hope it isn't from the compressor but another area might be the condenser or evaporator but a good AC technician will detect and have that sorted out.

Thanks boss i pretty much guess theres still a leak as this has not improved it. Glad to change the filter anyways...way too much dust even for a mud flap. Im still in need of the good ac repair person o.

Eyop: It can be done personally if you want to. But since you said you already have an issue with your AC which mostly likely should be a leakage,i suggest an AC man does that for you. But if you are not ready for the repairs soon,i can search and post a video illustration for you sir.

Thanks boss, actually saw a clip on youtube on getting this done, pretty easy. Now to find that really good ac repair man (or woman) who can get this gas leak thing sorted once and for all.

Eyop: I don't know of a professional that i can recommend but other members will advise you. As for the vent,i guess your filter is blocked and i suggest you check your filter for the blockage.

Hello folks please does anyone know where i can get a good air conditioning repair person for the w211 in Lagos? There seems to be a leak somewhere each time its gassed after a couple of days its back to no cooling. Firstly only the passenger side vents blow cool (nothing to write home about type) then the whole thing just goes out.
