Let the Igbos, Ijaw and Hausa of Lagos unite for such a state.Yep! That is a recipe for success right there. With the strong relationship between Hausa and ibo, this should be a walk in the park! I don't think there has ever been a better time for the strong union of the ibos and Hausas to be asserted. Lagos is the perfect ground afterall, these two ethnic groups combined makes the majority in Lagos. Yorubas are only about 10%. Personally, I am still wondering why the minorities are still holding sway in an ibo state. Surely the governor should be an ibo man and his deputy a Hausa/Fulani. How did the ibos let the minorities get away with this? |
We will make a pact with the Hausa that will cause problems on different fronts. From the North the Hausa will invade. We will have strongholds in Lagos and their Igbo brothers from the East will push into the regionYes, yes, brilliant idea. I love it! Don't mess with okoro and Hausa alliance, they are a formidable force! |
lol, no thread has made me laugh so much as this. Seriously? Festac state? Out of the smallest state in the whole country? I swear, I couldn't even believe my eyes when I saw some of you commenting to this seriously. The funny part that threw me off my chair was finding out the name of the individuals agitating for the said state. I couldn't contain my self, it was just too hilarious. Okoro no dey carry last o. For Lagos state? Awolowo's country? An ajokutamamumi is calling for the creation of a state far away from his erosion ridden village? Nothing wey I no go hear. Awon oloshi, akutuku yin lona orun. Awon ole aboju wonkoko. |

Rich Dad:Yeah right! You were in Ikorodu, yet you didn't know that Shagamu Rd police station is in Ikorodu? Whatever! ![]() |
EzeUche:Yeah, you care for Lagos just as Hitler cared for the Jews. Oloshi! |
EzeUche:which kain yeye shocked face you dey display? No be wetin you dey openly wish for be dat? Na break dance the yeye boi dey do insai o. Oloshi! Na nna bois dey quick post dis kain tin and na dem dey fest respond. Infact, i'm checking out this reloboy's profile - I suspect that he's Ezeuche. |
If find this hard to believe though: Sagamu Police station in Ikorodu? this Media reporters are liars, so theres no Police station anywhere in Ogodunyan,Ogijo and environs abi? bTW,why would a case from Lagos be transfered to Ogun state with is under a different command??I think the writer meant 'Shagamu Rd, police station' which is in Ikorodu. |
I want to hear them talk about tough measures like demolishing structures blocking waste ways and handing down heavy penalties or possibly jail sentences for illegal dumping of refuse. No more appeals, I want to see the hand of the law descend heavily on those who break these laws. When those measures are put in place, it would be clear where the blame lies and if then happens to be the government, they would be made to face the music! |

Negro_Ntns:I see. . .well it goes to show that i'm not the only one who have noticed his idiocy on this board. P.S: There is nothing I admire about Namfav, he's afterall a man who sees nothing wrong in marrying a 13 year old who have barely reached the age of puberty. Ever since he mae that statement, I made a concious decision not to read anything from him again. By the way, aren't you Alh Harem? You have caused enough confusion on this board, abeg. |
Dbanj is currently on tour so Ode-chukwu cannot hold any press conference at the moment. |
Negro_Ntns:What a question! Why do you ask? |
Ezeuche, Your wish is coming to you earlier than anticipated. The sea is surely coming to you now and may I add - BIG TIME! ![]() |
There is a reason why one is called Awo and the other called Zik. One leads, the other follow as the first letter in their names appear in the alphabet. |
Hahahaha. . .all these okoros feeling funky sef. Na only one question dem ask o but na story dem dey go find for internet as to why he was regarded as Jik of Africa. Na so dem dey take fail exams. Please list the achievments of Jik of Anambra, biko nu. ![]() |
Can you please repeat what you're trying to say? I didn't quite hear you over my Yoruba awesomeness. ![]() |

will you stop your harsh tongue towards your eastern neighboursReading this thread has strengthened my resolve to continue the war against the blatant lies they perpetrate on this site. |
Ystranger:wetin con consine your agbero with overload na? me wey I dey do hero worshipping, i complain to you? Yes, i'm very impressionable, gullible paapa but na my headache be dat. Abeg take panadol for your headache, kilode? if you have yawa with katsumoto you better settle it with him but right now, I am seeing him as a hero, kajiko? Pshew! Moreover, when have I ever sang the praise of the said person? It seems you're getting your wires twisted somewhere. |
Like thunderbolt, the information enshrined in this thread hit me like WOAH! If you are ever looking for the meaning of enlightenment, then I suggest you read this thread. Lies can go on for years but it takes only one day for the truth to trump it. For years, i've listened to ibos harp on about the Yoruba betrayal without really carrying out an in depth search into the true story and now, oh now, I know so much more. I thought I respected Awolowo before, but now, I could almost idolize him. He makes me feel so proud to be Yoruba and displayed in those transcripts what I have always known about Yorubas. We are indeed a unique race full to be brim with intelligence. It is a shame that he is no longer with us. I weep for the day my nation joined Nigeria but I thank him for his foresight and uprightness. I have hope now that Yoruba would rise from this either within or without Nigeria, we will be great again. Thank you so much Jason, I feel indebted to you for publicising these vital information in the history of the sham called Nigeria. I also would like to thank Katsumoto and T9ksy, they always maintained that Ojukwu wanted to rule us but I didn't quite understand it then but now I know that Awolowo was and still is an upright man, a very special man to people of our race. |
quote author=alj_harem ok i think the first thing he could have done was to clear the gutter ways and make sure this gutters are leading somewhere, (this can be done way under a week), but who is to say that these gutters were not cleared or were entirely blocked. What proof do we have that all gutter ways were indeed blocked and that measures were not taken at all to clear any of the gutters? You reckoned that he would have learnt of an impending high tide but would have done absolutely nothing to control it? Give the man some credit! He is not silly like some! secondly, areas like abule egba and co where there are no clear drainage, i think he could have prepared an emergence house for the people and could as well had built a barrier to offer some protection for there houses and propertiesPrepared an emergency house for people who continually disregard instructions and warning and say stuff it to the law? Are you saying that these people were not aware that they lived at their own peril in a danger zone? Would this be the first rainfall they've experienced with adverse effects? Where is this shelter exactly? Who should fund them? Why should he offer shelter to law breakers? The best he could have done was warning them - which he did. thirdly, i think he could have organised clean up teams ready, so as soon as the floods ends, they are ready to clear the gutters and water ways again for the next rain. . .and do you have evidence to the contrary? i would think if he did all this, it would have reduce the severity of the suitationyou think? And this genius thought of yours wouldn't have been covered by him, you think? Give the man some credit! If you of all people can come up with this very basic solution, you don't think he would have exercised his common sense or if at all his commissioners? Give yourself a break! |
