PoliticsRe: Dear Jarus, How Well Did He Fare? by Desola(f): 2:42am On Jan 03, 2013
wesley80: Sorry but I just have to ask this. Aren't you ashamed? He picked the most rabid bigots he associates with and you came second yet you feel no shame? Is there now a meal called eediocy and did you overfeed in it?
sorry, but I have to let you know this, just in case you might be oblivious to it.

Discernment is not present in your lineage and I am aware that it was skipped particularly in the DNA of those from your part of the world but for what its worth, i'll do my bit for humanity and let you in on a little secret. I am actually very tribal in nature and wear my heritage and culture as a badge for all to see. I take pride in it so Jarus giving me a mention as a tribal warlord was actually a honour. You on the other hand are a snake, a slithering, devilish, snake! Others might call you a coward also as you chose to call Jarus out when he is on his way out. You took confidence in your kinsfolk being a mod to spew the gibberish you would not have the effrontery to, when Jarus was a mod. Your nonsensical write up which you started with flowery introduction only to throw punches in the body was not missed. You useless attention seeking buffoon. I should be asking you: "have you no shame"?

A rat like you can only dance on the dining table when the cat is away. Could you have boldly step forward to throw these slurs in the reigning days of your subject?

What impudence! What an affront!!

Arrant Nonsense!

Jarus: I get your points in this last one.

Yes, i fraternize with a couple of people that fight ethnic causes here. Dk was a university and hostel senior and one of the earliest people i related with on NL, far back 2007 sef. To the best if my knowledge, Dayo started fighting tribal causes here last year. I don't know how you want me to down him or dissociate myself from him because i was now a mid.

As for Desola, she pulls my legs by calling me names likes yorusa, yoruba sellout, afonja incarnate etc. That's in itself a minus , because this is someone fighting the Yoruba cause you guys said i was promoting and calling me anti yoruba.

All the same, i think this is the closest point i have ever read i.e fratenizing with yoruba ethnic defenders. But it was easy for me not to ever imagine it could be misinterpreted because i had a clear conscience that i will never tilt the forum in their cause and i am proud i never did.
You are explaining yourself to people with a serious build up of tribal wax and you want them to hear you let alone comprehend. You get time sha.

Oam4J,

Please can you tell me how to de-activate topic notifications to my email?

Many thanks.

Demdem: U have done well no doubt. I wish u the best.
I agree with ur decision to allow another hand to take over.
However allowing a well known bigot to carry on troubles me greatly.
The igbokwenu webmaster has also been proven on several threads to be very daft.
Anyway, oam4j is there to balance the scale.
but you really didn't see Jarus working alongside that bigot, do you?

come on, Jarus is bigger than that.

Seun wanted to prove to people like me that this as opposed to being a free forum to air your views is actually his property and he can chose how to run it without caring whose ox is gored. He has succeeded.

It is a new dawn. The ibo bigots have a free hand now.

For me, I cannot accept it and i'm sure that it would please him to know that my contribution would be limited to non-existent from now on.

Like Jarus said, "soldier go, soldier come, na barrack go remain".
Nairaland GeneralRe: Congrats Afam4eva! by Desola(f): 12:38am On Jan 02, 2013
manny4life: Well sister, just like I do, that's your opinion. I'm sure Seun had his as well. So, if an overriding opinion supersedes, why are we here arguing?

Jarus, I will always respect. One thing I know him for is that nothing does get to him, but different people with different flow. Fortunately, Jarus had NL moderator guiding principles which also play an integral role on how he comports himself, nonetheless, accordingly, he achieved his goals.

My point is, regardless of how bad someone is, try and see the positive side of the person when they become a leader. If during the course of their leadership and they falter, then YES, you have every reason to say they failed. Let him lead first, after then, let's decide if he remains a bigot or not.

On that note, Afam may decide not to love a hate a particular tribe, but his job description is sensitize this section, period. This is like between Democrats and Republicans during a confirmation hearing say a justice. Prior to becoming a justice, he/she has their personal opinions, but they make it clear it has nothing to do with the way they interpret legal principles.
good luck to you and the other bigots.

enjoy your reign, na una time, abeg.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Congrats Afam4eva! by Desola(f): 12:08am On Jan 02, 2013
manny4life: By resigning? Please... That will be a cowardly decision. One of the important traits of a leader is perseverance. Like Jarus stated, he persevered on for long and he gave his reason, and most importantly, he believed that the baton should be handed down to someone else, although he had a "last straw" which is understandable and as a person, I respect that. However, if OAM4J quits because Jarus did, not so wise decision. This is not about Nigeria Forum or dollar land, but personal principles and not follow pressure.

At times, decisions are not meant to be the best "so says my mentor" years ago, but decisions are meant for a greater good. If Seun believed that there must be a "BALANCE" on NL, that balance, whichever way we choose to interpret it must be upheld. That is why from the Executive to Judiciary reflects "balanced" equation.

Although, IMO, I do believe that Afam is a great candidate. Aside from him being Igbo, he's one of those folks you like to read their post. In addition, and most importantly, he has important qualities of true leadership- at least that I've seen in prior Igbo elections, he's broad knowledge on different things. Also, did I forget to mention that he frequents this NL most often? Just like I was asked to review (exit interview) someone based upon the good/bad qualities, I was honest. Afam may have been involved in tribal fights, but let's not rule out the positive image of his being.
Good for you.

Afam to me, is the biggest ibo bigot, worse than dede1 as dede1 never hid his disdain for the Yorubas and Nigeria but afam? Oh dear! He is a snake and seun appointed him only because he grates the Yorubas.

Jarus on the other hand can never and should never have to stand in the same capacity as afam as he is far above that. Jarus is an intellectual who is also diplomatic to boot! He did the best thing by resigning and he earns my respect for that. oam4j on the other hand might still need the daily bread that seun hands him so I won't begrudge him for now.

Jarus is an upright man, a man of integrity and I respect him more than I ever did.

ODUA_NEGRO: without the consent and support of Yoruba Forum how does afam or any moderator for that matter expect to have a successful tenure here?

afam, until you get the Yoruba backing your authority in this section is not yet sanctioned.
Yoruba backing ke?

As it is in the federal government, so it is on Nairaland o.

seun has pulled an Obj on all Yorubas and i'm loving it!
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland To The Dogs! Who Made The Bigot A Moderator? by Desola(f):
afam4eva: He just came back from a ban but decided not to learn from his mistakes. People are responsible for what befalls them.
May I be the first to let you know that you are doing a FANTASTIC job? cool

Please do not relent in your efforts to delete posts made by Yoruba posters and to achieve your ultimate goal. Remember, don't because you are now a moderator on NL, leave your site to run fallow.

Though I can't say that I like you an inch, you and your contemporaries have made NL somewhat fun and I hope you all continue to grow in leaps and bounds. May you never leave NL and may you continue to do seun's bidding.

I wish you all well - Yorubas and ibos alike.

Happy New Year.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Nairaland To The Dogs! Who Made The Bigot A Moderator? by Desola(f): 11:58pm On Jan 01, 2013
Pataki: When dayokanu called you a dropout, I thought he was just trying to pass a sly remark at you. You apparently proved you are a certified igbo dropout.

Do you even know the meaning of ''skunk'' before you hit the ban button on me? I mentally weighed your brain, and you are grossly deficient in intellectual matters! FYI, a skunk means: a contemptible person. That is rightly who you are on this section. I hope you even know the meaning of contemptible! A tribalistic goat who has no intellectual capacity to process administrative procedure on this forum. At least, it will add to your CV that you were a moderator even if it only lasted for a day! cheesy

In case you do not know, banning does not work on me. Ask from Seun. I am not one who goes about scared of being banned either one hour, or one year! So if you think being a MOD grants you the ultimate privilege to exercise your utter inanity, kindly march on! We would be here to make jest of you when your utter shame is finally exposed on this forum. cheesy

I would only suggest to all, to forward their complaints via email to Seun on this forum. The more complaints he gets, the sooner he will realize it was an utter mistake appointing this trigger banning infantile bigot as a MOD.

grin cheesy grin
so you are yet to realise that they are in concert?

seun gan-gain is the igi woroko to n da ina ru. He is afraid of people like you and got the best person to deal with all those who opposed him.

They are on a witch hunt together so save yourself some finger exercise and just watch as this pan out.

Let us just lean back and watch the ibos run this site ojare.

ODUA_NEGRO: happy new year dear. grin

did they consult the Yoruba Forum to see how we feel about this candidate?
consultation ke, seun ti sign o.

O ti je'gbe lo!

manny4life: SO MUCH HATE AND ANGER,

My goodness, all becos Afam is a mod... People will definitely give themselves HBP if they don't exercise caution. At times, people above us may not make good decision, or maybe they do, there are two things one can do. 1) Do something about it and challenge that decision, or 2) bicker and then keep quiet. This is dragged on for too long.
au contra-ire mon frere,

seun actually made the best decision!

I am just hoping that oam4j makes the 'bestest' decision.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Congrats Afam4eva! by Desola(f): 11:45pm On Jan 01, 2013
ODUA_NEGRO: afam, who made you a moderator?
His contemporary now.

Only a person with the same reasoning can pull that stunt.

gbayi!

O sharp gan to quote mi.

He's been hiding my post grin

Seun hired him to do the job of confronting his adversaries.

As jonathan could not keep Bakare down, so would he not be able to keep us down.

Me I jus laff in Twi o. grin grin
