dplus: Imagine your boss telling you to tell all his visitors he is not around while he is the office ? Will you go ahead to tell the truth ?Hmmmn? a dicey situation it is but God will always help those that are committed to Him.By the way, your boss should have discovered your personality before that time and if not just let him/her know.It is not about us but God.Its so deep sir/ma but ones job is quite insignificant compared to missing the Kingdom.Thanks. |
Humanly speaking, there are some circumstances that do make us ask those questions(directly or indirectly).May God help us to still believe in Him even in d face of those situations. It is not easy going by the flesh, but God's grace can keep us strong in Him even when we face such challenges...I can boldly say by His grace that 'IT TRULY PAYS TO SERVE GOD' He deserves our praise, service and worship. Thanks ACK CITY for reminding me once again.God bless you. |
k2039: [color=#FF0099] [size=13pt]It is possible to stay days without sinningSeconded ![]() |
CrazyMan: Galatians 3:28-29. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.Just on point! Stay Blessed sir.@OP: I agree with what Crazyman's view...Its now up to you. ![]() |
frosbel: John 8:44So what is your view sir?You are not explicit enough. ![]() |
Sagytarius: I'm confused here, OP. Well I'll blame myself because it's been long enough since I last read the bible (May God forgive me). Buh, did u actually mean that Sarah was Abrahams blood sister? And they straffed to bear Isaac? Isnt that abomination? or am I missing something here?Read Genesis 20:12 sir. They were of the same father but different mother. It was accepted in those days to marry your relatives but its not the same again. |
Whobedatte: Not all lies is sin. It means U are as wise as the dove as the bible portrayed. I once needed few hours to write a part time exam in my place of work, i know my production manager won't allow me since i was knew in the company, and learnt they dont allow pple run programmes there. I told him my father who died many years back have just been hit by a molue bus. Immediately he signed my gate pass, and went 4 the exam. She dat one na lieIs it also the truth? ![]() |
afam4eva: People just want the bible yo be re-written to justify the kind of despicable life that they live. If Christianity no do you, go someplace else. Abi na by force?Sir,this response of yours is 'somehow' o.i think we have d same opinion about the issue but try to make your view clearer and more explicit next time sir. i personally believe as a genuine believer, one should be truthful at all times. Thanks sir. |
mumumugu: Not all ies are sin. Some are permitedDo you have any scriptural backing for this view of yours? |
Morally speaking,it is wrong to lie and the Scriptures also does not mince words about the destination of liars. But i have noticed that sometimes Christians lie and they justify themselves by saying they are only applying wisdom. Some will probably refer to the case of Abraham when he lied about his wife Sarah that she was just his sister(Sarah was actually his sister but he hid the truth that she was also his wife). This is usually done by believers to salvage themselves in some 'tight' circumstances. Some believe lie is still lie and is therefore a sin and some believe it is wisdom in some situation and so is not a sin in those instances. What is your view on this? |

abujub: you made them like that is it not the same govt, due to itsSir,you don't have to blame everything on the government. While it is true that our government needs to put one or two things in place, the decision to take alcohol and the likes is strictly personal and a thing of choice.Don't lay that blame on the government sir...Just my personal opinion. Thanks |
Mr_Anony: No it is not scriptural to pray against your enemies. Thanks sir. |
tpia@:i am sorry.i was not aware d question has been asked before now.Thanks.Stay Blessed |
Considering Matthew 5:44(But i say unto you,Love your enemies, bless them that curse you,and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you) and Luke 6:27(But i say unto you which hear,Love your enemies,do good to them which hate you) Is it then biblical to desire their hurt, wish them evil or even pray against them? |
logo77: @ OILOFGLADNESS and others:- OP has not given the impression that his wife should sacrifice her career because of marital responsibilities. All his asking for are suggestions. Thank God for this thread; my wife and I have been brain storming for what business/job for her after she lost her previous job for no faults of hers. Thanks o my brother.Sometimes people just assume d intentions of d OP.I was asking for suggestions and some have already assumed i was against women having successful careers...Thanks. |
Rapture is Rapture...what has d word 'secret' got to do with it...The term Rapure is used to describe an event whereby the saints are caught up to meet d Lord in the air. There r biblical references to back this up and some of d posters above have cited such verses.Brother Frosbel, what is ur own take on d issue sir?Where do u stand exactly? Thanks sir. |
Delafruita: crazyman has gotten himself a protege.perhaps i should go back in time to scutinise his "responses to threads on NL" that are "just so nice".perhaps i have a different crazyman in mindThats why i said it is a personal observation...Am i not entitled to my opinion again? Anyway, thanks for d thread.I see it as an avenue to learn...Stay Blessed. |

Crazyman,u r just a wonderful person...ur responses to threads on NL are just so nice...thats a personal observation...Keep it up sir. |

~Bluetooth:You are who u are whether your partner is near or a million miles away.If u are not trustworthy,u wl still cheat on her even if she lives on the same street wt u and if u are faithful and trustworthy,u will still be even if she is not there wt u.Come to think of it sir,we have married men who live under d same roof wt their spouses but still cheat on them outside. So it is not a question of distance but of trust and maturity. Thanks sir. |
