The chiefs in the community probably prefer taking the money as cash which they eventually use in buying houses in Abuja and overseas to the detriment of basic infrastructure in their communities.
Even if you offer to construct that road you must drop something for their pocket. That's ND for you.

Who did he steal from? It is like your brain is missing over there and you suspect Oyedepo.
The main problem of man is his inability to sit quietly in a room and mind his business.

Yeah but the power generated during the day is usually stored for the night. And people generally use less less energy at night.
Power storage is still very expensive. It may be managable for cars but not for everyday use yet

Politics › Re: Governor Ganduje, Dangote Sign $150m Solar Power Project by Desyner: 12:43am On Aug 12, 2017
obailala:
$150million for a 100mw solar farm sounds very interesting; but I trust Dangote to pull this off. The question which then bugs my mind is, how come Dangote always finds a cheaper way to achieve these little things which seem impossible for government?

$0.15billion ==> 100mw
$1.5billion ==> 1000mw
$15billion ==> 10,000mw

Solar plants have an insignificant operating cost when compared to other power sources; no gas costs, no gas constraints, no moving parts (= less maintenance) etc.

OBJ spent $16billion, GEJ $8.5billion and Buhari has already spent almost $3billion on power, that's almost clocking $30billion yet we struggle with 3000mw for the whole nation. Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?... When do we just shut the country down and give it to Dangote?
Solar has the unique disadvantage of being available during day and not night. It would av been best for industrial hubs that run mostly during the day.
Your observations are quite interesting.
Politics › Re: Governor Ganduje, Dangote Sign $150m Solar Power Project by Desyner: 12:40am On Aug 12, 2017
The structure of our power system favours the north far more. I am pretty sure when this power project is ready the bulk of the generated output will service the residents of Kano state unlike the southern state that are force to generate their and pump directly into the national grid.

I have heard leaders come out to imply that politics isn't for everyone. An example was when former Niger state governor, Aliyu Babangida made a comment about politics not being for pastors some time back. This got me thinking about the question of who is qualified to be called a politician.

Who is a politician?

How does one join politics?

What must one belong to or be in order to be accepted by more established politicians into a party/circus?

I did not see your support, and many programmers from here have actually helped a lot. Some have even taken over my office to support me on this cause. I am getting lots of emails, facebook messages, phone calls e.t.c on bugs, fixes, features, and i have been taking them all down, and working on them.

And note people - this kind of thing can happen to anyone. Imagine I can type stackoverflow.com here and nothing happens. No matter how you guys say it - this flagging is very unfair.

I have replied to seun here - https://www.nairaland.com/3980384/reply-seun-osewa-concerning-flagging
Thought you rejected the idea of a theme css/html/[php] on the Nairaland thread. That was the support I was talking of. Never knew Seun banned you without giving you the chance to comply first.

.NET is knocking Java off Enterprise solutions. The only strong lifeline for Java was Android application. U nfortunately, Google abandoned Java when they made Kotlin official android language.

You might say what of non-windows OS, but the question is how many users exists for these? I can't remember vividly, .NET is already restructuring for cross platform in future with better and fewer codes than Java.

The fate of Java would soon be same as C/C++.
You talk as one who doesn't understand how computer hardware process instruction. Java will still be hot 20 years from now. Asides Java EE, there is the ever improving and expanding Spring framework. Plus java 9 is on the pipeline and it features a new MVC framework MVC 1.0 as well as more advanced multitreading support.
Java beats ASP.NET in security with slight margin. Plus every seasoned programmer will attest to the fact that Java supports rapid prototyping, especially enterprise apps.
Can you beat that?
