Angelfrost:God bless you. |
koboko69:That is not the argument, the issue here is any item you buy whether online or offline, there is always a 5% VAT element embedded in it, which is even evident in the receipt you attached. But in this contentious case, there is going to be another leg of VAT for using your card to purchase online, which will amount to 10% VAT. This is pure double tax on one item. |
seunmsg:Mr Man, any item you buy either online or offline (over-the-counter) is already VAT inclusive (you can confirm from any receipt you get from Jumia, Konga, etc). This new VAT imposition will amount to double taxation and any potential buyer will end up paying 10% VAT. This is really going to have an adverse effect on e-commerce as many peeps may likely revert to buying their stuff from brick and mortar stores. If federal govt needs money to fund their 2019 budget, they should review down the bogus/over-bloated pay packages of all these lazy politicians and their retinue of aides. Why is it that the govt still want to be collecting more from the masses without giving back anything reasonable in return. The FG shouldn't compound the woes of the average Nigerian by over-straining our meagre disposable income. |
davodyguy:Kindly go back to the original post, this time around pls read slowly and carefully in order to see where the complainant stated that the cars were parked in "his compound", not just a public place. |
Firstly, if you want to Roam, common sense require that you contact your service provider to inquire about the available Roaming Partner(s) in the destination you're visiting and the applicable charges. Chioma was in a roaming environment and not only that, she was cruising on an Island when she made the 5 mins call in question. As we all know, regular roaming attracts higher charges (because you'll have to latch on to another network) not to talk of when you are roaming on an Island, which will require you to latch on to a satellite network and this attracts even higher charges. Even at that, if Chioma feels aggrieved, she should have easily contacted 9mobile's Customer Care Centre, visit any 9mobile Experience Centre, send a mail to 9mobile Customer Experience Team or better still visit any of 9mobile's Social Media handles, to lodge a formal complaint instead of displaying her ignorance or shallow IQ to the whole world on social media, all in a bid to trend. The last time I checked, Chioma is a Glo ambassador and if Glo network is that effective (as they claim), why is she roaming with a 9mobile Sim and not Glo? Lastly, in her bid to de-market 9mobile, she ended up re-marketing them (advertising for 9mobile) for free because many peeps now know that in whichever part of the world you find yourself, even if it's on an Island, with 9mobile you can communicate seamlessly. |

BabaO2:Don't mind the guy maybe he doesn't move around Lagos. He should take a visit to Badagry to see how Ambode "performed". Even the Agege flyover he was making reference to, work has stopped since he lost his 2nd Term bid at the primaries and contractors are no longer on site. |
emperorblog21:Don't mind them, let them be lying to themselves. I'm not arguing the completion rate along the Abeokuta-Ibadan axis of the rail {which terminated before the level crossing at Iju (he area where there was a train accident 2 weeks ago involving a stupid keke driver that claimed the lives of all passengers, including the stupid keke driver)} but there's still a whole lot of work to be done on the Iju-Lagos axis of the project. The rail passes through the front of my gate at iju-ishaga and I can categorically tell you guys that that this project can never be ready by December this year. I don't even know why Rotimi Ameachi is in a hurry to deliver this rail project by May 2019 except if they want to do the Ambode magic by commissioning a project that is still WIP. Iju-Fagba is still pending, they are still trying to clear the land from Fagba - Agege, Agege-Ikeja is still untouched, Ikeja-Oshodi is still untouched, Oshodi-Mushin is still untouched, Mushin-Yaba is till further notice. Except if the 90% completion they are talking about is for a different rail project but if it's the same Lagos-Ibadan rail project being handled by the Railway arm of CCECC, then It can't be completed in 2019. They are still battling with the Crictical Path of the project (which is clearing the land, levelling it and pouring granite) not to talk of laying the tracks proper. Even the Station they are building at Agbado Crossing is not even up to 20% completion. I would have posted pictures but it's dark now and light no dey. |
Mr Oga, I will advise you use that money for another business if you haven't purchased the car already but if your still want the Uber/Taxify thing, then be ready to be the driver/User. Please I beg you in the name of God, don't you ever consider giving it to a driver or any of these Fleet Management craps for weekly returns. They will never keep to the agreement (i.e. weekly returns) and your car will be used like danfo. I am telling you this cos I've been there. I have a Corolla 03 I barely use (except on weekends to take my family out) because i always join staff bus to work on the Island but stay on the mainland. Around September 2018, because the car is always idle all thru the week, i toyed with the idea of doing what you are about doing (just in a bid to earn an extra income on the side) and I almost regretted my actions. I met a so-called Fleet management coy around Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja. We agreed 30k/wk returns (on every Monday) but lo and behold, i had to start making calls before i was paid 15k on Thursday (with so many excuses) preceding week 1. I should have seen the handwriting on the wall here but i thot it will be better. Week 2, week 3, nothing was paid and when i started calling, the guy started giving so many excuses, ranging from LASTMA issues cos the driver went to pass thru BRT lane, and so on. I had to forcefully request for my car and repudiated the contract. My brother when I got to where to pick my car, I almost cried. My car was in a very terrible shape. All the wheels were making noise, the exhaust almost touching the ground (and also making a hell of noise), the driver side mirror was shaking and to crown it all, i just decided to check the radiator b4 starting the engine and guess what, there was no single drop of water in both the radiator and coolant. I almost broke down in tears but i just controlled myself. I spent almost 100k to but my car back in shape. Those guys are terrible, they will wreck you car for there own personal benefit. I later registered the car myself with Taxify and I use it on weekends (most times on Sundays alone) and I make between 14k - 18k gross but revenue has been declining lately. |

seguntijan:This is spot on. In fact, I'm still imagining if the 820 commissioned Buses will ply the Air because at it stands, there are no roads for them to ply as all the existing roads (particularly on the mainland) are in terrible condition. Ambode is the worst thing to happen to Lagos State since the return to democratic rule in 1999. |
Abi ko fe da fun Baba yi ni? He must be insane for uttering such statement? If he and his predecessors had done the right thing, despite the abundant resources this country has, we won't be where we are today. Anuofia!!! |

lankylucky:Diarchy is a system of government that combines both Military and Civilian features. A good example was the IBB era |
franciskaine:Both wrong 1. The correct answer is NECON Headed by Dagogo Jack during Abacha Regime. NEC was during IBB Era and conducted the election between MKO and TOFA. NEC was headed by Humphrey Nwosu. 2. The right answer is 1929 |
I rep No. 83, Badagry Grammar School (1955) - NIL SINE LABORE The Anthem: Badagry Town, Door of Civilization, First Christianity, and Merchant the next; Then follow Orders and Regulations And Yorubas with Eguns were at rest O Fount of knowledge, We all cried up to Thee, Guide us at work and guide us at play; We shall climb the highest, the uppermost tree, If the teachers are taught by thy Led. Grant us Oh Lord, that our days may be ample, After our course in school has been run; Oh Blessed Jesus who trained all the simple, Arise and shine Oh Thou Eternal Son C.A. Duru on my mind. Up BGS!!! |

Acetyl:@Acetyl, I beg to disagree. I was denied admission into UNIBEN in 2004 all because my WAEC certificate wasn't ready by then (The SSCE exam was written in year 2000). All my pleas to the admission officers at the Faculty of Social Sciences fell on deaf ears. I was turned down despite having the WAEC printout containing the names and grades of other students I wrote the exam with. UNIBEN's stance then was that, once your exam date is three (3) years+, Statement of Results or anything else apart from a Certificate will not be honoured. So I strongly believe Dino Melaye has a whole lot of cases to provide answers to. |
sirfee:Yeah. Mr Oyekunle (Oyemarshal) on my mind. |
I see u dere nw am see u here are you twice? Please, did you attend BGS? |
