UPDATE:: I just Got off the phone with a Mr. Ayuba from the Wheelchair company.

The wheelchair comes in three categories;

Small: NGN 18,000

Medium: NGN 20,000

And

Large: NGN 22,000

I also spoke to him regarding sending it to Abuja for us after purchase and he said it's possible. We will wrap up negotiations and arrangements on Monday.

So basically, the cost of the items we shall be purchasing for that young man will be 22,000 + 15,000 = 37,000.

I say we work towards making the total cost 50'k with the extra money handed over to the guy to purchase some additional working tools he may require.

Iliyande:: Please verify to us again that you know where to purchase the Grinding machine if you have the money to hand.

At everybody else who has shown an interest in this case, next week, we shall start making these contributions and purchases. I am still thinking of how to manage the contributions as I do not want to handle anybody's money. I will finalize with the wheelchair company, pay directly to them and have them ship it to Abuja for Mr. Iliyande to pick up and deliver.

TeHN, your help is now needed o.. Any advice?

Thanks to everybody for their interest in making a real difference in the world. God bless you all.
I really appreciate your efforts in going a step further to contact the jos wheelchair guys... you are 2 gbasky, please we need tehn 's help with handling the funds. I hope we can wrap up this stuff before valentines day. grin

ANBAKO:
Personally, I will suggest all money goes to Iliyande if possible. He started this and he is also the right person to wrap it up.

What does the house think about this? Time is key here. Between now and next week we should be able to close this out.

I therefore open the floor for Iliyande to share his account details if he accept to take on this.

All we are gunning for here is 50k

Do good for good to come your way!!!
please let us come to an amicable conclusion and arrangement for this guy, with the number of people showing interest we may only need little money to get him the wheelchair or/and filing machine. God bless y'all.

reading comments like this on NL just goes to show the level of beef, intolerance and xenophobia we have for one another especially between yorubas and igbos. unfortunately, I don't see it changing in this generation because the bile of the past has been passed onto the present. anyway wetin concern me? so far I live better life as an individual and not a tribe.......#jump am pass

Very true, I believe the problem with the usa is that they are too liberal and accept a lot of stuff, I was doing a little research on Gun control, the second amendment and the likes and I was shocked to find out that military grade automatic weapons are available for public purchase....wtf.

Mr Kelechi Charles Emeruwa:- A Nigerian Mr. Kelechi Charles Emeruwa, (pictured here right) 41 of Old Umuahia, Abia State was charged and convicted with first degree murder of his estranged wife, 36 year old Registered Nurse, Chidiebere Omenihu Ochulo. Kelechi finally lost it and stabbed his wife, with her own kitchen knife

In Garland, Texas on Saturday, March 25, 2007 Mr.Theophilus Ojukwu, pictured right in his orange prison jumpsuit 46, of Enugwu-Agu, Ihe in Awgu LGA, Enugu State used a mattock (hammer) to bludgeon his deeply asleep RN wife, Melvina Ojukwu, 36, of Umuanebe, also of Ihe, Awgu LGA, Enugu State to a very painful agonizing death.

According to people with knowledge of the incident, the poor lady escaped with her life from her husband's maniacal rage with very severe cuts in her arms which she received while fending off her husband's killer-rage. Her husband, Benjamin Unachukwu from Nnewi, Anambra State, was taken to jail to face two criminal charges with the kitchen- knife weapon of choice as evidence exhibit![/b]

Another Nigerian nut-case, Mr. John Onwuka (pictured here right in his orange prison jumpsuit) 49, from Akwete community of Ohafia Bende Local Government Area of Abia State was charged with one count each of homicide and use of a knife in the commission of a felony. He stabbed his RN wife of twenty five years, Mrs Gloria Uchechi Anya Onwuka age 42, fourteen times in her bedroom while she was getting ready to go to work. She was a nurse manager. Mr. John Onwuka committed this crime on the night of Saturday August 19, 2006 at the home of his wife in Estate Drive, Farmington, Hampton, Virginia with her children watching him act out his gory insanity.

THATS 3 CASES YOU CAN START WITH. YOU CAN GOOGLE THE NAMES SO AS TO SEE THE FACES OF THE MEN IF YOU SO WISH undecided
the last one got me, you mean the children watched while their father continually stabbed their mother to death. I swear people can be very sick at times.

With his different sojourns dat saw him play in 9clubs after he got to England. I don't think itz a good thing tho he scored very well in the Epl but he didn't have a stable club
then we can say Nicolas anelka had a terrible career to? arsenal, bolton, chelsea, fernabache etc. not all careers are the same bro some players are valled " journeymen".

Bayern showed interest and they both said NOhuh I'm quite surprised! When you're aiming for the skies as a Tenage footballer, Germany should always be your starting point. They know the game, and are very disciplined. I'm quite happy for them though, buh with my HUMAN eyes, I think Osinmen made a better choice with Wolfsburg.

commonest lie every guy tell, they always claim to be different until they show you that habit some other guys will show undecided

2) I won't tell anybody

never believe a guy that use this phrase he sure will tell somebody, most guys can't harbour a secret or discussion you tell them in confidence and the moment you have a misunderstanding with them, they will start voicing like my school Secretary typewriter undecided
aunty irene, what are you doing with a guy that you don't want him to tell anybody?.....hmmm Contunu.

In one breath we all cry for government to hands off football only to clamour for LASG to still assist in packaging the teams.

The newly promoted Lagos clubs should continue the model that got them this far & stay clear from any State funding that may destroy them in a short period.
bros that is not what I meant by "packaging " what I meant was adequate publicity and support to aid the public in supporting these teams. eg billboards, adverts, free tickets to see matches for some individuals, adequate security and so on, just basically PR stuff like the copa lagos beach soccer tourney. we have all seen the effects of good and sports loving governance in the case of enyimba and heartland but it's better to keep government out of our soccer as you have so rightly said. peace.
