Dexterax: Beautiful inversion. And emmm this stock even has some connections with my Okomu Oil. ![]() |
passwelle: Love the NSE sha. Access last trade at 8.67. Rights will be at 8.90Beautiful inversion. The existing shareholders will have to buy it at a premium while non-holders like me can get it at a discounted market price as the price continues to plummet. Well I expect some proxy companies and market makers to do the bidding of you-know-who. ![]() |
passwelle: Anyone notice the volumes on Seplat today?Yes. The stock was being offloaded at a faster rate by the institutional investors. |

myjoy08: Sir, seriously Oando is taking the beat by loosing between 5 kobo and 10 kobo. This is serious beating oooooooooo! This represents an important transition from the meek venture of prophecy to the ruthless business of sarcasm. ![]() |
passwelle: Sir, it is temporary. The institutional investors are not around today hence the offer is presently 5 times the bid. Once they return, they will mop up at a faster rate as it steadily increases. ![]() |

Agbalowomeri: To every seller, there is a buyer and time will prove one to have made the wrong decisionNa for Thames you dey smoke garri so? Hihihihihihi ![]() |
johnwisdom10: I have being following this trend for a while now and I really love the way everything is moving. please do and body know about PREMBREW stock. please advice me on if or not to trade PREMBREW stock. thanksAre you sure you've been following this thread? ![]() |
Agbalowomeri: Lol!It's difficult to relegate fundamental analysis to the background when analyzing Nigerian banks. Very difficult. Consider that you can do this with a phoney company like Costain. With all the changes going on in Diamond Bank now, from Alex Otti's political attempts to the Actis-stake sale to Kunoch Holdings (Pascal Dozie is a soft cowboy, no doubt), I'd want the haze to reduce a little before starting a position in the stock. |
passwelle: Cool. I just didnt want to be surprised again.Be on the alert though. Just in case Baba D has decided that his current level of cowboyism won't be sufficient to keep him in the Forbes' Richest 25. |
Lol @ APR Team... It's the final hunting season of the year my oga. ![]() |
passwelle: Anyone here in the NASCON bus pre closure? Can you confirm receipt of fy 13 dividends? Read something about non receipt of full dividends by the registrars on smn.Bruv I saw the same post by Chudinho. I want to believe there's a normal problem somewhere. I think this same anomaly happened with FBN Holdings earlier this year and was duly settled. |
Agbalowomeri: Bros there is a linear relationship between ROE and PBV. I used to be glued on PE sometimes ago, no wonder some stocks will trade at almost the same PE forever. To determine that a stock is undervalued, one needs to see where the stock's data lies on the smoothed curve of PBV versus ROE (please dexter help). For example, if PBV is on the y-axis and ROE is on the x-axis, any stock that falls below the smoothed line is likely undervalued. One may need to do a research on the possible value of the gradient; perhaps this would likely differ from sector to sector. I think I have seen a similar graph in one proshare's document. My oga, you've done some really good work in this space. Honestly. I hope I don't mess up your explanation with any complications. A regression plot of PBV against ROE would establish that both financial ratios are positively correlated for a growing company. This means that both metrics move together in the same direction for this company. But as usual, correlation is not causation, so keep in mind that one metric does not 'cause' the other. So generally, a bargain (or monkey) hunter would be looking for an out-of-sync situation between the two metrics, especially when it's a mismatched case of HIGH ROE and LOW PBV (an undervalued situation). The high ROE means that based on the net assets or shareholders equity of the company, the management is churning out high returns which will add to the existing pool of the owners' equity (discounting any dividend payments), growing the capital base of the company organically. The low PBV guages the market's response to the book value per share of the company but ends up pricing the company below its liquidation value. AFRIPRUD falls into this first mismatch class. The opposite mismatch would signal an overvalued situation, which as we know can even become more overvalued due to the sticky behavior of market participants. |
stokfrick: dude- only those who feel guilty of my post will take it personalI agree. And what will be their punishment? |
stokfrick: the problem i have with most peeps in ds foum is that if they r not in a particular hot bus and others r, they must find a way to water it down. that is how it happened in FO and today they r licking their wounds for not boardind dat bus. that is how dey analyse heaven and earth on smn, then if them analyse finish d market go do him mind. then them go begin dey reanalyse again from under!Dude mehn. How can I lick a non-existent wound please? If I never owned a hypothetical asset but you and your friends decide to bid up the price (with you buying high) and your friends dump the shiitbag on you, who'd really be wounded? Smh. |
passwelle: Access bank rights issue price is NGN8.90 per share. Will be surprised if the stock price doesn't drop below that the week the suspension is lifted.Hehehe...no comment biko. |
passwelle: Those Proshare dudes, wonder when they want us to start buying AfriprudLike you know bruv, a couple of days ago, they printed nonsense saying the bears dominate the stock, therefore "stay away from the stock", they warned. That was probably based on technical bullshiiit. Expect them to come out with some fundamental bullish crap after they've loaded up between NGN 3.10 and NGN 3.25 due to the unfortunate obedience of the masses. |
omaojo1: Bros, them don borrow that rights money since July. What they want to do now is to get the money and repay the lenders(that is what they are telling the lenders for now). It is actually a convertible debt they issued.Once a debt has been qualified as "convertible", more than 6 times out of 10, you can be sure that option will be exercised. |
mpi210: Oando can't be looking for money to develop the assets they bought from COP and be paying dividends. The journey they just embarked on is CAPITAL INTENSIVE and we're talking MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.Pure common sense. |
omaojo1: Oga, all this media propaganda no go work.A couple of days ago, I mentioned something about the "dudes at BusinessDay" on SMN which was wittingly re-echoed here. You know, it's bad enough that you report complete bullshiiit about what's going down in the financial markets, then you decide to also charge for the bullshiiit? Like seriously? |
