To help it burst by itself, get a piece of cotton wool, and generously apply some spirit ( either methylated spirit / any straight drink with min 40%alcohol.) To soak the cotton wool and place between your ni.pple and the breast pad.

That's why I said you should clean it ,so that it will open properly,sometimes dirt block the duct ,and because its not flowing it will cause the breast to be engorge .

First of all clean the tip with cotten wool and olive oil, then massage it with towel and hot water(not scalding one oh,that breast is important), then continue putting baby to breast,the more your baby sucks the more it flows.
