When ever she brings out her tongue,tap it gently till she takes it back,be consistent she will stop,cos if you don't stop her now,it will be harder to stop her later.
For the car seat I have this one,lemme know if you are interested.

Mamas happy new year. My dd of 11 weeks has this build-up of goo in her eyes. Sometimes it becomes crusty and seals the eyes. She also has a slight tempeture. She's playing but a little uncomfortable. Google says its a viral infection similar to apolo and I should use breastmilk and/or regular eye massage. Someone close to me says its worm and I should buy worm drops. I have been putting breastmilk.

My questions are:

1. Should I talk her to the hospital? My mom also said I should put breastmilk and its nothing to worry about.

2. She's due for her Penta vaccine tomorrow. The first one knocked her out so badly so I'm thinking of postponing since she's already not so fine. Should I still go ahead with the vaccination? Has any mother experienced anything similar?

If the eye is bothering you so much pls take her to the hospital,breast milk is for the tummy not eye.
You can just wipe clean warm water and cotton wool occasionally, with time it will clear.

For the vaccine pls don't joke with it,administer pcm before going and like 5 min after the vaccine,your lo will be fine

Ije buns ,if you can't take the heat leave the kitchen. If baby's demand is too much on you,he might not even be getting enuf self,biko introduce formula,or express the milk to be sure of wat your baby is getting before accusing the baby of sucking too much

My baby had ds cough dt only com up at 9t,he wud cough non stop like 3min at a stretch.seems d medication am given is not working,she nw cough in daytime nw bt mostly wen sleeping which hinders her sleep coupled with block nose.mamas is thr any home remedy i can use,

Your baby's age would have helped ,never the less Instead of cough syrup I prefer the oil and sugar therapy,tested and trusted.and make sure you don't expose her to cold.

I am so happy this morning that she poo big time.

What I did was to give her warm water, I make sure I change my diet and started taking oranges and more water.

Also, I made sure I gave her EBF for two days without adding formula then gave her very warm formula and she pooped big time.

Please what do you do if suddenly your 2weeks baby stop pooing. Am so worried!!! Her Pediatrician says I should wait for like 5 to 8 days that they tend to change and I should drink more water. Hubby and mom said I should give the baby warm water which I have done but still no poo. What else can I apply.

If baby is on Ebf it is normal,but then you should also watch yourself,take enough fruits and veggies,drink enough water too.

Mamas, pls what insecticides do u use at home that effective for prompt and permanent eradication of mosquitoes. I have tried raid, seems its perfume for them lol, scared of using mortein liquid, the one that is plugged to electricity since I had my ds cos of not knowing the effect it would have on him. The whole house is netted, and he refuses to sleep under net and mosquito don't spare anyone . What do I do. Is there anything i can rub on him to prevent mosquito bites? Abeg mamas put mouth oh...

Pls don't rub him anything if possible fumigate the house and compound.
Make sure all openings are sealed.
If fumigating is not possible get sniper but you must leave the house with the baby oh,spray it all over the house,if possible compound in the morning,by evening it will be safe.you won't experience quitoes for at least a month,unless those ones are witches

You are advised to wait till six month,but if you must.
Make the pap yourself for the sake of hygiene
Get an age appropriate milk to mix it with to make more nutritious cos pap has very little nutrients.

My boy is growing fast and will be 6months this month, only problem I have with the dude is that he does not like to eat. Feeding time for him is a nightmare for my wife as he would cry and try to bring the roof down, but will immediately start smiling when the food is finished(very mischievous kid, I don kuku buy cane keep for am)We started with NAN 1 immediately after birth because wifey's breast-milk could not quench his appetite, infact his first meal after birth,when breast-milk could not quieten him was NAN 1 borrowed from another woman in the ward, fast-forward to today, they suggested we introduced Pap,which we did and mixed with the NAN 1, fist day he ate well, next day cry and eat session started...we were advised to buy cerelac that it is sweet and he would love it, I bought the HONEY+WHEAT+MILK combo and he still cries when been fed...Is he just been naughty or is it that he does not like the food.
Can Cerelac be fed to him as a stand alone milk? We usually mix it with his pap.
What other food can we buy to complement breast-milk which does not quench his hunger?

Advise from other experienced mums needed

Cerelac is not a milk,get an age appropriate milk to mix his pap with.you van get one that taste nice and see if his eating will improve. For other meal suggestions have you tried fruit cos babies tend to love fruit,for a start try avocando,banana and watermelon.
You can also try friso gold,most babies prefer it to cerelac. There is also Gerber ,Heinz,cow and gate porridge.
While feeding sing for me him too and make funny faces ,just make feeding time fun and watch him guzzle down all the food in house.

But she wakes up like every 1hr plus at night to feed, she doesn't sleep much at night. What do I do?

There is nothing you can do,with time her pattern will change.just continue feeding her at interval,with time you will be one begging her to sleep sef

My aunt just lost her baby to force feeding ,she was force fed yesterday ,the food entered the wrong place and she started fainting,they rushed her to the hospital and she gave this morning. So heart broken cos I told my mum just last week to tell her to stop force feeding that girl when my mum asked me to do like my aunt and force feed one of my boys that doesn't like eating.
Pls mamas its better to have a lepa baby that is alive than a dead orobo oh.

The killing is one part , you need abled bodied men! Then to de-feather nko, when them kill finish na to dump dead bird ontop your kitchen counter for you to prepare!

Story time:

We had a live turkey delivered to my parents when i was younger.....

First of all, it chased all the children around in the house - very violent bird!

Luckily my 2 older brothers and 2 male cousins were around so we had man power to kill the bird.

After 4 men, managed to slice the neck, they bled it for a while and thought it was dead, let it go and the turkey started splashing blood everywhere. They pounced on it again and it it took like 10 - 15 mins for it to stop wriggling.

Surely this turkey is well and truely dead now!
Nope, It took forever for it to die - when we poured hot water on it, it started flapping its wing and moving about this was like 15 -30 mins after killing oh.

Then the water never seemed to be hot enough, all our neighours helped us boil water as one gas cooker could not cope with the quantity needed.

plus like 5 people are needed to remove the feathers especially the strong wing and tail ones! . 2 to hold rhe turkey and 3 to pull the feathers out!

Maybe we just had a freak turkey but after that day! Live turkey! never again.
