How do i encourage my 11months baby to eat.i love ha to b a eater but she jst like breastmilk, notin else interest her.pls help
Please leave her alone. She is probably a late bloomer. Just make sure you watch her vitals and confirm she is okay. That's all. A time will come and you will start begging her not to eat too much. If possible you can get WellKid for her (by Vitabiotics Pharm). Very good too. It should be about 1800 to 2000 NGN. Dollar rates fluctuates commodities too fast these days. Ciao

Hello guys! This is a wonderful development and I'd like to support in anyway I can! I was recently appointed into a role that can afford more benefits for those interested! Dearpreye, you know I'm in if you're co-ordinating this!! Let me know ASAP, some opportunities are on the front burner!
Hi ideykwum, it's good to have you on board. We need co-ordinators from all states of the federation if possible. So that we can find out where the need is greater. My suggestion is we start with states that corp members are idling away, states where the crime rates are high (if a criminal minded person has something meaningful doing, he will may likely channel his energy to positive use).

Corp members in the house, identify yourself. dearpreye come and blow the trumpet to the NL forumites.

Then why did we vote for buhari?

One of it was to create and provide jobs.

Was this job reason not one of the reasons we kicked out Jonathan?

Abeg at least Buhari owes us the responsibility of fulfilling his promise on jobs.
A promise is a debt he OWES.
You have a point ndcide, albeit Bill Gates didn't depend on Gerald Ford (POTUS, 1974 - 1977) to provide him a job when he dropped out of Havard to start his company at the age of 21.

So don't wait sorely on the president. Find a gap in the system and fill that gap, which in turn provides sustenance for your and yours and also employment for others.

I'd go with what Mentor/friend suggested. I think a group should be created, to enlighten us more about this proposed project.

Have a beautiful day!
Thanks sis. Wish you the same too. You guys are the reason I contribute to the forum. Wish you a blissful day as well.

This is a bold and brilliant idea. I certainly endorse it.
Perhaps you'd create a whatsapp or BBM group of serious minded folks here so you can lay down this vision clearer to us. Thanks.
Like I said like-minded individuals help each other think better. VickyRotex, dearpreye called me out and it helped me to meet others like you. Iron sharpens iron, no be stone on iron wink .

How do we go about sharing of the BBM pin and WhatsApp details (obviously phone numbers)? In my line of work, privacy and divulging of information is a critical issue. So what do you suggest mentorandfriend ?

chommyAngela:
pls mummies, which food are u giving ur baby that u love very well?
Dear chommyAngela, so it is only mothers that know the right food? What of men that have lost their wives when the baby was just some days old? So the man will be looking at the baby without providing food abi? What of men that have the interests of their wives and will go to any length to research on the best form of nutrition? In as much as I give kudos to women/mothers, there are men out there that work their asses out to assist their spouse. Haba, you folks should give men some credit na. Na wa oooo. God dey sha... cry

In between my ranting, Mother's Delight cereal is quite good as Heinz (dhavel mentioned Heinz). The only difference between the two is that Heinz is packaged outside Nigeria, while Mother's Delight is packaged in Nigeria. Heinz and Mother's Delight are manufactured by the same company. Then for formula after six months (for mothers that prefer full exclusive) or within the six months and subsequently, Aptamil and Enfamil are two of the best formulas, albeit quite expensive.

Mixture of grains can also help them out. The problem with some mothers (fathers inclusive) is that they believe if the baby food is expensive, it is the best. Reading up nutritional facts for foods can help. Also pay very close attention to your baby's allergy to some foods.

Thanks brother. Thanks for your strong and wonderful comments. I'm happy you're here.

Good morning brother.
Good morning too brother. I was thinking of an idea yesterday and wish it to see the light, albeit we need serious minded individuals like you and others like VickyRotex, mentorandfriend, dfrost, AgapeCharis et al that I may not have related with personally.

This is it:

1. Generate a Trust Fund

The active accounts here on NL will soon hit 1,500,000. Why do we need to wait for the government to create jobs for our younger ones when we can secure 50% of the future for them. If you and I and others start donating just a meagre NGN10 (ten naira) per month, we will end up generating close to 15 million in a month. Now comes the best part.

2. Establish Industries

The trust fund will be used to establish industries in each state of the federation such that serving corp members will be trained in various fields and they do not need to pay a dime to learn from the industries. They in turn will acquire skills and also contribute to the growth of the trust funds. Note that apart from the users on NL (I used NL because this is where we have met like-minded individuals), it will also spread to corporate firms/organisations contributing to the Trust Fund.

Training will also extend to those that do not have the privilege of going to school ( cry it's not easy to be educated, so we should not stigmatise those that didn't go to school or further their education).

3. The Big Picture

The Trust Fund will have succeeded, if managed well, in creating 12 industries every year that will generate funds and train people too.

PS: We should not afraid of certain dubious people hijacking and carting away the money and resources.

VickyRotex, mentorandfriend, dfrost, AgapeCharis, et al I await your prompt comments on this.

Family › Re: Church Sanctions Married Men For Not Wearing Wedding Rings by dfrost: 4:32am On Sep 12, 2015
So let's assume that the man/woman accidentally loses the ring finger of the entire hand, what will now happen? the ring should then be inserted as a nose ring or what? I wonder how people think that the ring will make a man/woman not to cheat on his/her partner. The preaching should focus on being faithful and not a symbol of "assumed" faithfulness.

I totally agree with you on this.

Exactly what is ruining today's youths and society in general. Competition, competition and competition. Always trying to best each other. Was reading a thread two days ago on NL about phone usage. Some were boasting of not using a phone for more than two months.

Find out what you need a phone for. Mails, calls, IM, social media et al.

At the end of the day, all is vanity.

,afterall what pride are u holding unto when u have nothing,or better still get a passion and develop on it every time u spend waiting is another time wasted.
A zillion likes for your post NizyO01. Exactly my thoughts. What pride do we have in doing nothing?

After my youth service, I got a teaching job eight months later that was paying me 7,500 a month. I wasn't looking at each pixel that made up the picture but the whole picture itself. Sooner or later I started making contacts of kids who had difficulty learning and I was taking them on private lessons after school. At the end of every month, I was making 22,500 aside my salary. There's always a gap to be filled if we focus our minds on the target, never allowing the need to be unattended to.

The greatest failing of our time is youths that indulge in competition and bogus lifestyle.

It's really not too to make ammendments. Better late than NEVER! cool
Yes. Never too late. Bill Gates had to drop out from Havard because he saw something bigger than Havard. Imagine Havard! The lifelong dream of most Americans...

The point is not discouraging schooling but seeing the bigger picture of survival, not dependent on others but on one's abilities and skills. Just like Observant, I've set myself on the path of making sure the society depends on me and not the other way around.

Do we know that instead of becoming the best hand in an organization, why not become a consultant to the organization if they need my skills that bad and provide service to others too?

Those of us who read alot on the Internet and are interested in military, special forces and covert ops will have noticed that America does not let go of their best hands but rather use them for private security and advisory roles.

Blackwater Corp is one of such organizations. They even provide protection for rich Arabs albeit they have a running case with the US Judiciary.

Observant:
At the moment I am applying to vocational schools to learn a skill in machinery and equipment overhaul and maintenance .
Observant I'm with you on this. The reason why most of us (graduates) are suffering is because we have no vocational skills. Imagine if we spent every Saturday while in school, learning how to make button holes, cutting shirts, designing badges, making chemicals to enrich our African hair to withstand the heat, et al. The point is the list is endless.

I sincerely believe that there is always a need for something in any community we find ourselves in.

It's not too late though. We can make a difference now in order to alleviate the pains that our young ones and wards will face in the future.

Nice thread dearpreye. Nice post Observant. Wonderful contributions from all.
