THIS IS A PUBLIC APPEAL:
WHERE, HOW, HOW MUCH CAN I GET A PREPAID METRE (AT THE ORIGINAL COST)? SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME WITH RELEVANT INFO ON THIS MATTER.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

ANNOUNCER: Feranchek

SIGNED: Feranchek (for the family)
Hi Feranchek they have started installing the prepaid meter for free. It is not to be bought. It all depends on the PHCN station around your axis. Okota-Ago area have about 50% of the prepaid meters now.

It will go round I guess...

Family › Re: When Are Children Ready To Start School? by dfrost:
ADENIKETINA2015:
Every parent wants their child to be a graduate at age 18 hence the need to start them early.
The question I ask most parents is what is the rush for?

To boast about the children's success or what?
To enable them get good jobs or what?

I still don't get it. We end up graduating immature wards that can't interact intelligently and maturely. My boss' son answers questions intelligently but rude in character. Imagine a 9 year-old slapping the back of the head of a grown up colleague of mine. Haba.

Well different strokes for same folks...

What did OBJ do for Ogun state or the SW during his term?
I understand your pos IlekeHD albeit we can't do anything about it, can we? For him to be visiting PMB implies that they are discussing issues pertaining to Nigeria.

Remember too that he is a member of the SC

It's sad that most oldies in the previous generations are a lost cause, don't even bother trying to convince them.
Even the young folks are not left out. A colleague of mine will always hit out at me with derogatory slurs. Instead of getting angry, I immediately switch to my native dialect and laugh out loud. And this is someone whose first cousin is from another tribe and a celebrity. Smh for some humans.

My boss, these are just the symptoms of a much deeply entrenched rot in the education system. It's rather unfortunate.
My bosses dearpreye and ideykwum it seems the op is just arriving. @op we've been singing this song that you have placed on auto repeat. I wish I could make videos of our HR interview process. You will be shocked to the marrow.

Please youths, graduates, undergraduates on this forum: when someone tells you are unemployable, ask the person to assist you in ways the person can in order to improve yourself.

Coaches and managers see what players can't see while playing. We all need each other.

It's a circle (albeit not a vicious one). I employ you today, you employ my wards tomorrow and it goes on and on.

Question: who do I pass the baton to if the next person isn't ready? Food for thought.

One love to all.

Jobs/Vacancies › The Entrepreneurial Ants (E-Ants) Initiative - NL Enterprise Group by dfrost(op):
Dear All,

This is a fallout from the thread "When Your Degree No Longer Guarantees Success! by dearpreye"
Link - https://www.nairaland.com/2587191/when-degree-no-longer-guarantees

This is it:

1. Generate a Trust Fund

The active accounts here on NL will soon hit 1,500,000. Why do we need to wait for the government to create jobs for our younger ones when we can secure 50% of the future for them. If you and I and others start donating just a meagre NGN10 (ten naira) per month, we will end up generating close to 15 million in a month. Now comes the best part.

2. Establish Industries

The trust fund will be used to establish industries in each state of the federation such that serving corp members will be trained in various fields and they do not need to pay a dime to learn from the industries. They in turn will acquire skills and also contribute to the growth of the trust funds. Note that apart from the users on NL (I used NL because this is where we have met like-minded individuals), it will also spread to corporate firms/organisations/individuals contributing to the Trust Fund.

Training will also extend to those that do not have the privilege of going to school ( it's not easy to be educated, so we should not stigmatise those that didn't go to school or have the means to further their education).

3. The Big Picture

The Trust Fund will have succeeded, if managed well, in creating 12 industries every year that will generate funds and train people too.

I'd suggest BBM because Whatsapp has a limitation of a 100 additions. We'd need a yahoo group too (nothing wrong with a third group for lengthy mails, or forwarding opportunities!).

For a name, I'd draw inspiration from dearpreye and call it "The Entrepreneurial Ants"! cheesy wink Remember, every ant has an Elephant in it (its not only Peak that goes in!).

Hi alijusty,

Hope you have 10 naira to spare each month? *chuckles* grin I sent you a pm.

PS: dearpreye, VickyRotex, mentorandfriend, AgapeCharis, khaynoni, ideykwum, alijusty - can someone suggest a name and dearpreye can create a thread so that the mods can move it to front page so that others can become aware of it.

Counting on all well-meaning Nigerians support. Also which is better for most of us: WhatsApp or BBM? so we don't need to create three channels. NL is one channel so we need another channel for on-the-road contributors.

Nice dfrost. Contrary to popular belief, some Nigerian dads are hands-on with their kids.

My jewel has been on heinz cereals since she started taking cereals. However it is sometimes dificult to find it in Lagos here and when I do, I tend to find only one flavour. I like your idea on mother's delight. I have never seen it tho'
Any idea where I can get it?
Sorry for the late reply. Our LO was also hooked on Heinz also (Wheat & Milk), but the scarcity in the market drove me nuts that I had to start looking for alternatives. Check for the Mother's Delight in Mushin Market because even Eko doesn't have it. If you give me till Monday, I can get the exact description of the retailer's store. I sent you a pm so we can exchange contact details. Ciao!

Same here. Our LO was hooked on Heinz until we couldn't find it the market. Heinz is scarce in Lagos. Turned out he's allergic to some food.
