dyera: If they want to unify the naira exchange rate, the idea is to figure a way to bring the parallel market down to the official rate. Devaluing the naira official rate is absolutely reckless. They won't. That's some people's cash cow since time immemorial, including the big boys in the banks. |

COMPAQ: Indeed, going by the price of diesel. In most countries I've been to, diesel has like a 10 to 20% premium over petrol. So if diesel is now N630, fully deregulated petrol would be circa N550.
If Dangote refinery comes on steam, maybe due to economies of scale and not needing to pay for shipping, we might get N500 Exactly. Your head is well-oiled. But factor in our selfish side, and add another 100 to it 🤣😝 |

HacheNoire: It can go as high that. But over years, the market will become competitive and prices will drop. I don't expect a healthy competition. Our refineries aren't working. Don't know the plans we have for them. I think metro lines should flood states now to regulate transportation, because government can't regulate the pump prices. |

HacheNoire you are right on that but 250? That's way too cheap. By my olodo calculations, we are looking at about 550-700 price range. |

Aklee4994: it’s already been removed my the pass administration just that the new administration just announced it yesterday..removing it to move along with Buhari administration is best Removing it is the best thing. A week or two to set up monitoring of stations that don't comply should be the best. The current PMS has already been subsidised. Who's deceiving who? |

HacheNoire: Price per liter in Saudi Arabia is $0.62/liter. Are we paying that much in Nigeria? That’s what subsidy has been cushioning.
It’s time we step up! I hope u know Saudi Arabia, the government cushions most things for the citizens. Please let's stop this unnecessary comparison. Let's stop please. Have you been to the UAE before? |
Politics › Re: Petrol Price Jumps To ₦350/ltr As Queues Return by dfrost: 9:05am On May 30, 2023 |
HacheNoire: Even if all refinery’s are repaired, fuel will still be selling at close to international market prices. It won’t reduce price to current selling rate.
Subsidy has been doing all that and it’s time to let go. I don't get this analysis or comparison. Explain better. |

This strange culture of greed eating up our society MUST be expunged. Report an average Nigerian to who exactly? Bros no dey talk like say you no be Nigerian. Most Nigerians are heartless. They don't care if their whole town burn just to satisfy their motives. Last month a fuel attendant told me that they can't wait for June to come. That they have 33,000 x6 litres of PMS underground and they expect it to go up to 700. Chief, this is the thinking of an average Nigerian: burn 🔥 down the system and make a living out of it. |

Okay.
Chief Porksupplyib, well done for your article.
One, a man is meant not to talk too much as he did. They are things you don't say outside against your family no matter how bad you feel.
We were all alive when Bubu was de-marketing us, we condemned it, why this?
The young man in question japa-ed via same means, what happened to 'those living in glass houses don't throw stones?'
E no kuku block road for me, because I no send anybody attitude but what of Nigerians who would seek such opportunity in the future?
What he did was bad, really bad. It will affect our image. Every country a Nigerian wants to visit will think otherwise believing all of us are dubious whereas it isn't.
I dislike men that talk too much, honestly. Some things are best left unsaid. |

Their signature is short haircut and clean beards.
You people always find a way to paint Nigeria. We know everyone is angry in Nigeria but don't be like that.
Some Nigeria's armed forces may be corrupt, incompetent, or unprofessional, but certainly not the Nigerian Navy. They've kept their nose clean over the years, be sure who you're accusing, if that's ever necessary.
Peace On the beard, depending on some factors and guidelines, you can actually keep your beard, but it is an exception. On the corrupt issue, bros no go there. Receipts dey. Let sleeping dogs lie abeg. |
