anochuko01:
Sir, all we need to do is to take our eyes of money for 12 months and learn whats needed.
But No, everyone is acting like a slave to money.

An average Nigerian graduate is "useless" to the labour market. That's the saddest reality we don't want to swallow. That's the hard truth I told myself when I left school. Despite a very good result, I knew I had nothing to offer the modern society and I took over two years putting myself in order.
I could have been carrying certificate around screaming theres no job, and allow my youth to waste away on top job search.
You just described my situation, bro. Only that I've lacked the discipline to focus on acquiring an IT skill. Please, once again, I would like to connect with you. Thanks
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Why Is It So Hard To Find A Job In Nigeria? by dgee1(m): 6:14pm On Jan 10, 2020
Hello bro, I really like your energy. Please I would like to acquire some of this IT skills and would please want you to guide me. Thanks so much.

anochuko01:
I would have insulted you but no need.
With your whole intelligence, you don't know that machine learning and AI involve data science too? Do you know if they probably want to start another line of business and need to make predictions?

Myself and the said guy started learning stuffs together last year, and in less than 12months there's been dramatic progress for both of us. He came 2nd in a machine learning hackathon and they were both offered the slots.
I'm into robotics and have started implementing a bit of AI.

I pity the lazy people that "liked" all you wrote coz my sole aim was to encourage people to go learn in demand skills.

Okay now, another Friend learnt Microsoft Dynamics for six months and is now gainfully employed on the island. You can doubt this one too so I can prove you wrong again lol.

If we all keep giving excuses, nobody would be anything meaningful.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Should I Accept Or Decline This Job Offer? by dgee1(m): 9:50pm On Nov 07, 2019
This is wisdom.
Mitocyan:
Well it depends on lots of factors. They include but are not limited to
1)what you studied in school

2)the career plan you have for your self

3)the gp you graduated with(if you had a great 2-1 or first class for instance I will advise you to seek scholarship for masters abroad

4)the financial situation of your family. If your family or whoever is still supporting can do so for 6 months without complaining, I will advise you not to take up the job, you can choose to use this period to learn a digital skill or enrol in a training academy that will prepare you for better opportunities.

The bad thing about accepting any job that comes immediately after NYSC is that time passes quickly when you are out of school and you might just be in this job and it could consume so much of your time and might be hard to change. It could make u not have time to reach out for better opportunities again.

Also if this job has no career prospect for you, I will advise you to get some money print some flyers for home tutorials and distribute it actively, in your church and in your area, you can charge around 20k per student and it will probably be 3 days in a week at 2 hours per session. If you get 3 clients that is 60k already. By doing this you will have more time to yourself unlike being in that job and you can plan for more business ideas or more career path.

Don't fall for the deceit that you are still young, time passes quickly and motivation wanes with years. Don't let your drive wane. Make good use of it. Above all I wish you success.

PropertiesRe: I Just Spent 1year And The Landlady Served Me Notice To Quit. What Should I Do? by dgee1(m):
One, it is none of your business if she accommodates her grown daughters, son and grandchildren. E no concern you! Two, as someone here rightly commented, maybe you have become an activist in the house, organizing other tenants against her and her family and struggling authority with her over her property. Sometimes we just have to act the fool to have our way. This is where diplomacy comes to play.

Lastly, where your issue with her started from was listening to people and allowing them to poison your mind against her. With your prejudice towards her, you would always read meaning to her actions, rightly or wrongly.

How would you react if a tenant in your parent's house begins to struggle authority with them on their own house, or even when you build your own house and a tenant is trying to bully you? There is a reason most landlords in Lagos always don't want to rent out their properties to a particular tribe who are mostly known to hate authority. They believe once they have paid the rent, they have the 'right' to destroy the property and lord it over you while you fold your arms and watch.

If you pay a rent of from January 1 to December 31. The Lagos state tenancy law allows your landlord to give you a six month quit notice from July 1 to December 31, while your rent runs or later than July but never earlier than July. That is, your quit notice cannot end in November while your rent ends in December. But your notice could still run while your paid rent has expired. If you want to play delay tactics and go to court, be informed that the court would still ask you to pay for all those 'free' months you feel you are using and might even ask you to pay the legal cost of the landlord, if he has a good lawyer. Court can only give you more time which you will eventually pay for.

land-LORDS/LADIES are so called for a reason.

Worthydefender:
I strongly agreed to pack out as everyone has suggested because the reason am here with the write up is to seek for advice but with your writeup, am having a kind of rethink.
I will go to her when my rent expire by the end of this october, and if she refuses to collect I will ask her to tell me why and leave. She will not have any reason. 2 months ago, she put chickens cage at the back of my window with stinking smell but I have been told their way of life in their family. They do things to stair up argument and use it as a yardstick to start fight. I have met her respectfully in the past to ask some question, at times I would wonder if she is really human. I dnt pray u encounter her.

Please house do one pay for eligibility assessment? An immigration lawyer in Canada told a friend he would need to pay for 'eligibility assessment', don't know what that means.
