The reason is quite simple, but many see it otherwise: the percentage of those seeking employment is way above the percentage of the available jobs. Now, I'm talking economics!
(And we're raising socialists daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly all round, these are people who thinks the government owe them. And parents trains kids to go to school, get a job, marry, and live, and die).
Then, Companies are crashing, employment opportunities are dropping too.
If you ask me how to get a job, I'd tell you: "you must be extremely competitive like game.

I’ll give my review tomorrow

And are you constantly advertising your business online to get customers?

Any business that isn't online in 2020, will lack customers and profit.

Save money and buy shares. Don't start with Nigerian mentality that "they" will eat my money. Find people that buy shares and make money of it so that you can get good advice on what to do and what not to do. You can get a 20k job live like an animal and buy shares maybe 10k per month and bet me by next year your life would be getting better. PS: do not sell your shares early or else you would go back to level one.

Pls do not be depressed. Job is not the only way out. Why not try business. Dont you have friends who could loan you cash?

Jobs are hard in Nigeria because we are all corrupt. We would rather help our unqualified family member than a qualified graduate. Corruption begins at home.

My uncle who was the MD of a big bank chose to go with merit instead of a family member. The person he chose, put all his family members in top positions and all of them became billionaires, while my father and his other brothers keep asking him for change. I am not against going for merit, but Nigeria is a f$cked up nation with f$cked up people, so if you choose to do good, 20 people are doing bad to make your good seem irrelevant.

Money is not hard to get. Just solve a problem and automatically you get paid.

but please, if mansard sponsored a machine learning competition and he performed well and was asked to come for internship, would they leave his machine learning skill and ask him to come be a sales rep? does not having an established machine learning department stop them from implementing machine learning in their company?
wema and access bank did this same thing last year and non of them has an established machine learning department....
sir, its so unbelievable that a person would doubt the use of data science and machine learning in a company like mansard. doesnt it sound laughable?
Yeah, it does sound laughable.. A lot of Nigerians think b/c the country is stuck in the early 2000's, a lot of Nigerian companies are too. So they find it hard to believe companies are trying to be "innovative"..

See I think Nigerian youth needs to wake up to the reality on ground.. it's not only tie, suit plus office jobs that jobs for graduates. E.g bank jobs, oil &gas, big manufacturing companies etc

In the western world u will see graduate like u doing waiter's job, transportation jobs, sale people jobs wtc.

No job no job but there are alot of opportunities for uberDriving, danfo driving, bus conductor, professional tailors, professional salespeople etc

So stop complaining of no jobs.., start with these jobs and grow through financial intelligence.

While in university, face your study and manage to learn a skill. In fact the best is to do part-time program. Forget all this bullshit they are taking and not applicable. Education/degree open your eyes to light. It may not bring food to your table.

When l was in school, l combined my study with tutorials/teaching in nursery school. I made little cash and use to learn how to repair laptop etc.( let me leave supper story)

Learn a skillllllll. Nigeria, oduduwa, Biafra and Arewa nation will not provide any opportunity as far as we have this set of criminal generation.

My company need a Chinese interpreter, they went through hell before they could see one. And l stayed with Chinese student while in school. You can imaging six digit salary the lady is collecting. How many of us can speak other language apart from English and local dialect?

If l could reverse time, l would have love to learn any of the following;

1. Repairing of automatic Car gear.
2. Installation of floor ties
3. Sliding windows
4. Repair of industrial generators.
A lot of things and l will never be a liability to anybody
5. Handling and driving Payloader, Hiab, crane etc.

A lot of things and you will observed with right skill and know it well, you will eat. But we want office job, OK now

See my friend, nobody has road map to success. It is not a function of amount you pay to train your children in Nigeria, it is a function of opportunity or business you were able to create for your unborn children.

Some Chinese that came to work for us are skill oriented not certificate. Most of them are drop out and technical training center of 6months and their company sent them from China, making cool money with escort

India annual growth rate is 1.1%

And that of Nigeria 2.6-2.8%

Facts

And Indian woman on average has less than 3 kids
While for their Nigerian counterparts its more than 4

Nigeria will collapse in 30 years if this trend continues

Hi job seekers,

If you have ever talked to a human relations executive, you would know how important it is to have a well-written and edited CV, resume, pitch or cover letter. The truth is that the world is changing fast and companies are no longer interested in micromanaging employees. If you can prove that you’re more coherent than a qualified person with a disjointed, badly written cover letter, you stand a better chance of getting called—and trained on the job. Think we’re making this up? Ask any HR staff.

If you’ve tried several times and haven’t been called for an interview, perhaps it’s time to check your documents. 75% of the time, the way you structure your language goes a long way in persuading the HR team that you’re a decent pick for an interview. You’d be surprised at how fast things can change once you address the grammatical, structural, and punctuation issues in your document.

If you’re done with never getting called and want to ensure that you present a better picture of yourself, we’d advise you to send in your CV, resume, pitch, cover letter and other job-related documents to careereditors.ng@gmail.com. There, our expert editors will proofread and re-structure them within 48 hours.

Here are our services:

Proofreading:
We will correct all punctuation, tense and grammatical errors in your documents. There is no sentence restructuring or rewrite.
1 - 2 pages = N500
3-4 pages = N1000

Line editing:
We will rewrite your sentences, restructure paragraphs and substitute words with professional vocabulary so that your skills and experiences are well described. We will also correct all punctuation, tense and grammatical errors in your documents.
1 - 2 pages = N1000
3-4 pages = N2500

If you’re don't want to sit at home and want to make your dreams of getting a job a reality, send a mail with the details below to careereditors.ng@gmail.com

a)Your name
b)The type of editing you want
c)Number of pages
d)Phone number
e)CV/Resume/Cover Letter/Pitch (attached or pasted in the body of the email)

Don’t let 2020 end with you still sitting at home. Get in touch now!

It is easy.... What is hard is getting an employer that will treat you like a human being...

Virtually all are evil. And I don't blame them.
In Nigeria once you treat underlings with the respect they deserve they start disrespecting you..

E.G
Because my dad is an irredeemably nice man, our gateman always takes his sweet time to open the gate for him .. Sometimes when he is tired he even pretends to be asleep.. But you see those tenants wey dey slap am, abuse am, etc.. If you see the way he rushes to open gate for them eh..
