PoliticsRe: Peter Obi & His Lawyers File Petition To The Presidential Elections Tribunal by Digriz(m): 9:15am On Mar 21, 2023
micflo28:
If igbo cannot rule Nigeria, can they let us go to Biafra nation.
Obi is not fighting for Igbos alone. Many people from other tribes even yorubas voted for him massively.
The case of Lagos is a different issue and cannot be compared with the presidential election.
So telling me that Igbo alone gave him the votes and therefore, he should go back to be their president is uncalled for and unacceptable by us who voted him for a better Nigeria.

Efforts in futility. A party that's finding it difficult to win a single gubernatorial election is filling petition to reclaim presidency. He failed to realised that North did not vote him at all and labour party have influence at all in the core North. If you lose North, nothing remains.
Let him go ahead and waste his money. SANs must also eat, it's their time. How I wish his gullible supporters can advise him well. Even Atiku can't win not to talk of Obi. Igbo are different breed entirely.
you have started calling and instigating tribal rancour. You, You and You are the problems we are talking about.
So you can't make your submission without calling other tribes name in a despicable manner.?
Seun needs a lot of work to do here, I swear.

Nairaland is a great place to really know the content of people's heart. Many yorubas like myself were neutral prior to the election. I use to hear about the tribalism from some quarter from both end of the Yoruba's side and the Igbo's side. But, I realised that, the Yoruba's are more open to engagement than the Igbo's. I noticed, when you have upper superior augment than theirs, they switch to insult and blackmail with your religion and culture.

This election was not suppose to go this way, but Obi took it to the next level by saying taking back Nigeria to the Christian community. That alone created what we now have as regards to tribalism.

I have been on this forum for several years, but I learnt more about the Afonja word here, because it was used most time. I believed, GRV learnt it here also. Yoruba's never took it as offense, they only use superior augment to buttress their lines of augment.

Now, What is really happening is that even non APC members that are Yoruba's are provoked by the arrogance by the Igbo's and would no longer overlook their harsh words like Yoruba women are dirty, Afonja and several others. They are all out for the Igbo's. The only solution to this is for the Igbo's, to learn to know boundaries else you face stricter repercussions. Learn to know boundaries!
Every tribe has good and bad people. Stop pointing at only the yorubas because we have many other tribes in Nigeria

yemmit90:
No one rigged against Igbo, Igbo simply don't know how to play politics. South East being a zone that usually give a bloc vote has advantage over other zones in the South if they had utilise the opportunity well. Being loyal to PDP that gives absolutely nothing for years instead of APGA to negotiate power with other zones is their greatest undone.

You can't defeat a rulling party with Labour party that lacks national spread especially in the Noth West and East. Obi would've won easily with PDP. If you still believe Obi won this year election, it mean you know nothing about politics. Obi know the truth, he is just using the victim tactics to keep his Obidients followers intact for the gubernatorial election and future elections.

But it is quite unfortunate that the tactics only work in one state in SE, and with this, his chances of becoming Nigeria president is almost gone forever.
APGA is ojukwus party go and sit down, you're talking nonsense.

All these grammar are not necessary, just tell them to mind their business if they can't support their hosts political interest to move the area forward, they should always vote for whom they like without making noise or brag to prove to their hosts they are superiors. Yorubas and other non-indigenes are in the east, but they don't cross their boundary when it comes to local politics in their domains. If the bring business back home and Ipob/esn come to patronize them, will you be there to safe them?

Yorubas don't hate Igbos, they are friends to them in real life, what yorubas don't like is arrogance, domineering spirit and claiming right of what you can not give others. No one will like you imposing Chinedu Gbadebo Patric as Lagos governor with zero experience in governance at the expense of Sanwoolu who has proven himself more competent enough.

Lagos does not need change because it is working and progressing as number one richest state in Nigeria and fifth in Africa. If it is not working, you won't bring your business here in the first place
how is Lagos working?

Any advice to help with this. I cried on my drive home because I really enjoyed working there and the pay was good. I guess that's what I get for trying to ever make something of myself.

I try to make an honest living as a young man trying to enter the workforce and this is what happens.
Is it time to become an unemployed once again?

I feel bleeped. Life is bleeped. I just wanted a nice house, a wife and a little savings I'm the bank. Guess that's not happening

Dsalvo:
Mo gbe. Igbos are now having the temerity and bravado to threaten Yorubas in Lagos. "Woke" and over-liberal Yorubas, see where you have gotten us?

I was reading an article today that said upcoming election in the 28 Nigerian States of Nigeria featuring gubernatorial contestst on Saturday are peaceful and calm affairs bar Lagos which has taken on a do or die tone between Yorubas and Igbos over the political soul of the State.

Some of you Yorubas are self-destructive dullard who have no shame and no foresight.

Do Igbos live in Lagos alone? Kaduna , Abuja, Kano, Delta, Sokoto and many fairly cosmopolitan States in Nigeria are not there for Igbos to attempt governing?

It is Lagos they must drag because over-accomodators Yorubas have allowed them grow wings enough to the extent they believe they can foist an IPOB tout who cannot speak Yoruba, and has directly made bigoted statements against the Yoruba as Governor of a Yoruba State?

Yorubas looking to vote GRV should Bury their head in shame. I am a democrat who believes in recognising the democratic choice of others, however painful the conclusion of an election may be, but I draw the line at voting vile bigots and supremacists who want to lead people they have shown public and unambiguous hate and disdain for.

If only we could identify every Yoruba who will vote GRV on Saturday and deport you all to the SE for good, with no option of return, then perhaps that will reset you brain to make you understand there is nothing wrong with voting those different from you as long as they are not your haters who live to see your misery and downfall.

Voting GRV, for a Yoruba, is no longer democracy for the same reason New Orleans or Georgia in the USA will never have an openly proud and practising Ku klux Khan supremo as her governor.

It is for this same reason every sane Yoruba must grab their PVC and go to the poll to disgrace this Yoruba-hating IPOB tout who switches name deceitfully between Chinedu and Gbadebo while reeling off IPOB anthems publicly.
All this epistle just for Gbadebo, hmm! You are wasting your talent here. You can make a good movie script writer in Hollywood. Stop wasting your talent replying to every post in nairaland.
PoliticsRe: Why Obi Had ‘Sweeping Victory’ In South-South, South-East - Okowa by Digriz(m): 6:40pm On Mar 13, 2023
maasoap:
grin grin grin
Sweeping victory my ass! Massive riggings with the intimidation of voters who wanted to vote other parties other than LP.
If Obi's votes from the south east has to be made to pass through integrity test, he won't have one million votes left.
you reasoning is shallow I swear, Obi that got up to 900 thousand votes or more in Lagos, what do you expect the outcome to be in the SE and SS. ?
In Lagos the number of yorubas that voted for Obi surpassed the ones that voted for Tinubu. If not for snatching of ballot boxes and disenfranchising of voters, Tinubu would not have gotten up to 30 percent in Lagos.
You espect the people of SE to vote for Tinubu were their is a better alternative on the ballot paper acceptable by Nigerians and the son of the soil. My friend, you need to go back to sleep.
PoliticsRe: Obi: I'm Not Challenging The Outcome Of Presidential Election -just The Process by Digriz(m):
Mr. Mahmood is really in hot seat and that hot seat will surely burn his stupid a.ss till he vomit what he swallowed, he will never get rest.

He underestimates Obi but Obi I know doesn't fight a lost battle. He already knew their game plan and got prepared by putting necessary things as watchdogs on time and ready for them.

Urchins will be amaze when he will start presenting genuine facts and figures of the original results. Obi is wiser than Mahmood and Tinubu because he has planned what to do ahead on time before them.

We Obidients will never loose hope because the day of reckoning is coming. We are going to celebrate and Nigerians will celebrate too when Obi will finally reclaim his mandate.

LP knew already what's gonna transpired in that election and the provided their secret agents with hidden camera. INEC never see anything. Obi is confident that's why he said that he will reclaim his stolen mandate.

ifihearam:
Wike you are a pathological liar,,Obi left mainly because of YOU not that he was relevant any way.

The presidency was zoned to the SE, hence obi indicated interest..Atiku was relaxing in Dubai. yes, you funded the party after the loss of the last presidential election where obi was the running mate of Atiku 2019. However, you thought you were the rightful person for the ticket whereby zoning it to the south and you had the full support of Tambuwal.

Now, since it was initially zoned to the SE, obi was hopeful to clinch the ticket when you again said it should be made open for anyone to contest, that was when oga Atiku came into the race, he managed to bribe Tambuwal who in turn betrayed you and sold his candidacy and delegates to Atiku..obi a notorious stingy man knows he cant contest with the likes of Atiku and Wike as they have free money to spare took to his heels with his tail cornered in his buttocks in a rather feminine and cowardly manner coupled with his opportunistic tendency ran to LP.

This crazy obsession and sense of entitlement by igbos in lagos will get them in serious trouble if care is not taken. You claim you develop communities but you can't develop your own states. You claim you are billionaires but 95% of you are into drugs. Any Nigerian abroad in prison because of illicit drug trafficking is Igbo with 100% guarantee. You sell fake commodities everywhere.

It's not a threat but just a friendly advise. Becareful of what you are about to start because once it starts, only God can stop it. Please for your sakes. Elections will come and go. Peter Obi will likely NOT win but you all are gambling your futures because of him. All politicians are the same. People said more than this about Buhari.

Enough said

PoliticsRe: My Candid And Final 2023 Presidential Election Prediction by Digriz(m): 7:45pm On Feb 20, 2023
Ttalk:
LP
Obi has SE in the kitty and SS as a support base

APC
Tinubu has SW in the bag and NC as backup

PDP
Atiku has NE as a voting strength and ?? as a support base.

Leaving NW as the determinant of the presidential election.

Since NW has the highest voting strength and there's the Kwankwanso factor to reduce the % the other 3 major candidates can take from NW, then the voting % remaining after removing Kwakwaso votes will still be greater than the voting strength of the SE.

Then the winner of NW will be the winner of the election.

Let us now consider the strength of Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku in the NW.

Obi
Obi has no influence at all to muster 15% in the NW so he is out of the game.

Atiku
Atiku's influence in the NW comes from religious and ethnic factors, which would make him perform well in the NW.
However, many factors would equally reduce his performance in that region. Those factors will make him lose to his closest rival Tinubu in that region.

Tinubu
This is the region where APC has 6 governors, the highest number of Senators, and HoR members with structure in every local government.

This is also the region of the incumbent that benefited hugely in infrastructure and human empowerment, this region and its people benefiting from the present government would not allow their source of income close, interest is paramount in politics above religion and tribe, and for this reason, Tinubu will edge Atiku in NW and will become the overall winner.

SECOND POSITION BY REGION

Obi
Nil

Atiku
SW & SS

Tinubu
NE

Final Analysis

Obi
1st SE
1 St SS
2nd Nil

Atiku
1st NE
2nd SS
2nd SW

Tinubu
1st SW
1st NC
2nd NE

(NW)
Whoever wins NW becomes the winner

If Tinubu wins NW,

- he would have a national spread of 25% in 24 states
- he would have the highest votes with a 2 million difference from his runner-up.

If Atiku wins NW, he would have the 24% national spread but won't have the highest votes and the election will go to rerun.

Conclusion.

Tinubu will win NW, and there won't be a need for a rerun
urchin analysis.
