Wise Biafran - choosing rather to resign and face his business than remain in govt appointments that are seasonal... He had told the presidency abt his business and that he intended to bid for one of the contracts, when heads met and they tot it wld be misconstrued to be conflict of interest, he chose to grow his biz.

But wait a minute - conflict of interest? It was so honest of him to hv declared his intentions rather than using other figure heads to front his biz which is very typical of nigerians!

Kudos nwa nne ayii...

I expect the children of awolowo and esp the wife to apologise and ask God and man for forgiveness b4 it's too lat... blood can't just b spilled for fun - blood is life and precious b4 God!

Rem in the bible the blood of Abel CRIED for vengeance b4 God... imagine the blood of those starved-to-death children crying everyday for vengeance - oh i pity nigeria... will it ever be well for nigeria?
Politics › Re: Awolowo's Daughter To Achebe: We Are Disappointed by Diligence: 10:10pm On Oct 07, 2012
Lesson learnt: whateva u say or do, just know that someday u will be held liable for it and it may just be ur children suffering all the shame.

Justice demands that war criminals like obasanjo, gowon, adekunle and co shld be brot to book and esp awolowo shld be tried posthumously!

U can fight war but there is what is called WAR CRIME! U cannot block medical and food supplies to nursing mother and children and hv a clear conscience b4 God and man and any1 who chooses to look elsewhere today, shall suffer d same fate awolowo suffered!

The blood of those innocent children and their mothers are crying for justice everyday, everywhere in Nigeria!
Politics › Re: Achebe’s Biafra Memoir Stirs Controversy by Diligence: 1:14pm On Oct 06, 2012
The holocaust happened and the Jews never ceased talking abt it even to their children born today! So why shld Biafrans stop talking about this until justice is done! This book shld be purchased by every true Biafran with Biafran blood flowing in their veins and they shld tell their children what happened - just like my father did and I will also to my children!

History - whether good or bitter - shld never be trashed!

I commend Chinua Achebe for speaking out! This is what I call IP - Intellectual Property - that is unique and courageous, the characterisitic of a true Biafran. Indeed, that's how healing process commences and lessons are learnt, too!

I strongly believe that sooner than later, the Sun shall rise, to set no more! Nothing like true freedom and justice!

Oh giant thou wast once called
Dwarf thou art indeed
Corruption hast ruined thee
And hope hast thou not

Rejoice for thy redemption comest
The original divine master plan for thee has been found
Sooner than later, this fake marriage shalt be divorced
For God loveth justice

Rejoice oh ye visitors to this strange and inclement land
For freedom is guaranteed in the new Jerusalem
Indeed the sun riseth again
To set no more!

Libyan protesters force militias out.

Protesters ask troops to take control of an Islamist group's HQ, a general says "I am sorry, America... This is the real Libya," a protester in Benghazi says Hundreds take over the Ansar al-Sharia group's headquarters without firing a shot. That group is tied to an attack last week that left 4 Americans dead Benghazi, Libya (CNN) --

Ten days after four Americans were killed in their Libyan city, hundreds marched in Benghazi and took over the headquarters of a radical Islamist group tied to the attack.

Thousands of protesters had taken to the street earlier Friday, loudly declaring that they are not those behind last week's deadly attack. "I am sorry, America," one man said. "This is the real Libya." In the evening, an offshoot of several hundred people then headed toward the headquarters for Ansar al-Sharia, a loosely connected radical Islamist group.

Libyans target Islamist militia base as militia members fled, the protesters torched a vehicle and took over the group's building without firing a single shot. Some of those involved claimed to have freed at least 20 captives held inside, and expressed their intent to assume control over other Ansar al-Sharia buildings. Army General Naji al-Shuaibi said the citizens, whom he referred to as "revolutionaries of the February 17 uprising," later asked that the Ansar al-Sharia headquarters be handed over to the Libyan army. "Indeed, we rushed here and we will now take it over," said the general. "There are also other places that we intend to take over (which belong to armed groups) if the revolutionaries and the people allow us to do so." But some of the protesters gathered at locations that house forces loyal to the national authority, he said, including the headquarters of the Rufallah al-Sihati battalion. Gunfire could be heard at the headquarters, but it was not initially clear who was responsible...

On the night of September 11, U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was one of four Americans slain after a group assaulted the U.S. Consulate in the eastern Libyan city. Seen as the birthplace of the revolution that led to the death of longtime Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, Benghazi has in recent months been beset by security issues.

Initial reports indicated that, ahead of the consular attack, Ansar al-Sharia had organized a protest to decry an inflammatory film that mocks the Prophet Mohammed and also protest the United States, where the film was privately produced. On Thursday, Libyan Prime Minister Mustafa Abushagur said eight detained in connection with that assault include members of Ansar al-Sharia, though he added that not all the attackers came from one specific group.

Responding to the report from Benghazi, U.S. Sen. John McCain applauded the citizens' efforts Friday and said it represented the true, freedom-loving Libya that he and other U.S. officials involved in the country knew. "Somewhere Chris Stevens is smiling," the Arizona Republican said. "This is what we knew ... about Libya."

Pls let's learn to be less cynical.. if anything; i applaud the predecessors and the successors - those who had the vision, got the seed, planted the seed, watered the seed untill this stage, but let's continue nurturing it. This is somewhat a model for leaders in nigeria to follow... irrespective of who gets the glory, a good vision should not be discarded for selfish interests!
