Sophyrocks: OMG!! Some men are seriously wishing death and all on Feminists. buhahahahahaha. Its a pity that feminists are the reason why u can't sleep at night. Too bad.

I have noticed very closely that feminists are most desired by men that love intelligent and outspoken women. Even Oprah herself has a partner but has refused to get married because she is not cut out for the institution of marriage. But still, she has a Man. why is the man still with her till today? You do not have supernatural powers to know each and every single feminist and how they fare in their marriages. Only Ego stricken, low self esteemed men hate feminists because they are not easy to control and subdue like slaves. Ive also noticed that there are certain kind of men feminists end up with. Ive never seen a feminist end up with an abusive ,ego stricken man. even if they at one time dated such men, they dnt stay with such men. while the subservient women end up with these men. why is that? because at the end of the day, you as an individual will go for your kind.

Poster, its not by force to marry a feminist. Feminists are not the only kind of females we have. We have different varieties of women just as we have different varieties of men. Just as we have male chauvinists, we will also have feminists. men and women will continue to have MIRROR VERSIONS OF ONE ANOTHER. As unpleasant as both personalities could be sometimes, they will always end up with someone for marriage, surprisingly last in that marriage. That is LIFE!! No longer BLACK AND WHITE? Or dnt u ever get surprised as to why certain men love certain women? why are u bothered??

Go for your kind and allow other men like you who are bold with great self esteem to marry feminists!! You as you are can't speak for all MEN as regards specifications of the kind of women they desire. most men dnt want to admit that other men dnt reason like them. Instead, they love to generalize and think for others. I have personally met a guy who loves feminists. In fact, he said that if his girlfriend does not reason like one, he will walk over her and abuse her. Leave Feminists alone and stop having nightmares!! To each his own oooo. Learn to see Life in many shades of colours.
You are unfortunately misguided. Who told you I am bothered about feminists? I only threw a legitimate challenge and four pages later none of you could meet my challenge, you only sidestep and discuss irrelevant things. My point is there is no mainstream feminist with a good marriage. Read between the lines! Simply put feminism is anti marriage.

Kanwulia: Please o!
My DARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRLING husband of 15 years. . . .cooks and brings it to my bed. . . While I sit my 'bread-winning' azzze on NL all day?
Am I anti-masculinist? tongue
He works too. . .but loves to cook!
So, I let him have the kitchen. . . 90% of the time.
grin grin grin grin grin grin No you are one hell of a lucky woman. He COOKS because he wants to do it for you not because you insisted on it to prove that you are pushing for feminist rights, abi?

His is not about feminism, it is about love and what he loves doing and I bet you love the food!

This topic is about rude uncouth women who think that their husband is their enemy number one and must be resisted at all costs.
#R.I.P Thread sad

@o.p..you didn't have to respond to every negative post and that would MAYBE have salvaged this thread. My two kobo.
On the contrary, it helped the thread to grow. Some of these feminists needs to get what is coming to them. Thanks for your opinion though.

@ Coogar, that is why I call most of the here fake feminists! They cannot stand the implementation of what they espouse.

DarqChild: First off I really am 20. Well I guess I grew up around men who were really responsible and knew what they were and are still doing in life and a lovely mother too who though strong and independent has a humble and loving spirit. I have sisters and the first thing they learn is that a woman doesn't raise her voice to get her point across. No shouting or screaming. " Harsh words causes war and gentle words are as sweet as honey to the soul." That's somewhere in the Proverbs. They are taught to try and discuss there opinion in a respectable manner and if its not taken up they at least trust us the men to protect them. If any of my sisters happens to be a nag and a glorified bitch I have no business defending her when someone beats her up or worst. But being that I trust them and know what they are capable of just a tear drop from any of them is enough to send me into rage feats. I have been in a relationship where everything was smooth sailing and then she found out that she is 2 years older than me (though we both really didn't know until the day it came up accidentally) and decided that I didn't deserve to be the man in the relationship due to the age difference. I had to seat her down and talk things through with her. After a while she called and told me she wanted to break things up with me....Mind you I did love this said young lady. I asked her why she wanted to break things off with me (at least to learn from my mistake against any future relationship and be a better man) and she gave me the excuse that it was because she was older than me. I chuckled and maybe laughed out loud for about 2 minutes and asked her to have her way and do what ever she wanted. 2 weeks later she called back asking to get back together but I vehemently refused. I didn't even want to be "just friends" with her because human psychology has thought me that no matter what happens she will still have that notion and may relapse to her former attitude that led to the whole break up.
I have cases of the girls in my life feeling a bit disrespected or insulted by me and when they call me to it and I find out that I really insulted them I endeavor to apologize and make necessary amends but if I feel they are just trying to raise dust and get me rattled up I just ignore them and I won't apologize. But like I said you have to know what you really want in a relationship Dear.....don't just rush into a relationship out of desperation. There must be a connection, understanding and mutual respect in a relationship for it to last and finally....let the man be the man. And always...HUMILITY AND RESPECT.
THIS IS WHAT I CALL BALANCE!

bukatyne: I have heard of women like the OP before feminism landed in Africa.

I know some who will still cringe at the thought of beong equal to a man but are worse than she is
Classic! They now attack OP because she dared to denounce feminism as impractical and injurious to marriage!

As per you post I corrected, was just trying to prove a point. No offense intended.
What you will see glorified in America are women who
- don't take no mess from there husbands
-make 6 or 7 figures a year
-don't need no man to "do their thang"
-will tell you like it is if you say something out of line
-constantly says "YOU CANT TELLLLLLLLLL ME WHAT TO DO"

What you will no longer see glorified here are women who
- allow the men to lead their household
-decide to live on what he makes and cut back on the higher lifestyle
- stay home and raise her children so that she can teach them boundaries instead of being taught by the wicked world at a young age.
-learn humility and respect and know that it's about her and her family, not just her.
-learn how to use her femininity to change a situation instead if a nagging mouth and pride which would only make matters worst.
My joy in all these is that you are retracing your steps. It is not too late to make a change. Please ignore those who are only out to seek attention. They won''t make any meaningful contribution to the discussion at hand because they have no useful opinion. Hold your head high and do the needful, you will be alright.

Show successfully married mainstream feminists, you can't. It is a lesson to ladies out there. THERE IS NO SUCCESSFULLY MARRIED FEMINISTS. MARRIAGE AND FEMINISM ARE NOT COMPATIBLE. SO IT IS A CHOICE LADIES! IT IS EITHER YOU ARE MARRIED OR YOU ARE A FEMINIST. THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

damiso: I get your point relearning but my point was rather than always cast aspersions on the evils or by products of this movemens let's remember the real reasons why these movements existed in the first place . Let's just for a moment imagine life if some people had not struggled for some of the liberties we take for granted today.

Yeah like all this movements, there are radical or extreme elements but as bukatyne has explained its left to us as individuals to learn to take the pros and cons of these movements and apply them in our individual lives . Yeah racism had to be fought and still exists but some people still play the race card even when its obvious they are not willing to take the blame for making something of themselves. Like bukatyne explained I also dont see how feminism might be the major cause of attitude problems. We must also realise that there are diiferent models that have sprung out of the intial feminist movement and the more radical arm is probably what would espouse gender hatred.

I am quite familiar with feminism and studied various course units on the topic, my final year project was even on feminism in Islam and its faaar wider and broader than what 'some' posters tongue tongue on NL make it out to be.Infact it's in no way linked to wanting to be a man. (Okay there were some extremists but you have that even in religion)
Greatest problem with feminism is that most feminists enter marriage with a combative mood. They see their husbands as a competitor who must fall for her to rise. They fail to understand that marriage is complimentary. it is a union of two good people united in a single mission. To most feminists. IT IS ALL ABOUT CONTROL NOT EQUALITY!

ileobatojo: Ok, I'll bite.

So after finally seeing through generations of smoke, what you've learned from it all is how to date, marry and keep an abusive loser? What a great antifeminist lesson to learn! Wish you all the best with your newfound epiphany.
Ileoba take it easy grin grin. Everybody doesn't have to be cold and anti-men as you are ! I know this open heart confession of a repented sister pains you to no end but if you imbibe a little humility you might actually learn a thing or two.

That is why I really love women who have not lost their head in the mad rush to be pro feminist. Women who have stubbornly refused to be masculanized by feminism. Those are the women that still makes sense.

@ OP another point is that you need to see your husband as one who is there to complement you not to compete with you. This kind of mindset will help you to always see him as a friend and not an enemy.

bukatyne: @OP:

Feminism makes people rude and bitter and without feminism you could still be this way

Since you have known your error and want to change, the following would help:

Love your self, develop a healthy self esteem and be confident in yourself. Most rude people have low self esteem and have demons they are fighting within. Being confident will help you acknowledge the fact that you are not perfect and needs someone to complement you

Learn how to be polite and humble to everyone no matter their station in life. Your character to random people matter a lot. I don't mean you should be a walk over: you can assert yourself without being rude

When you get a man or if you have one, learn to treat him the way he treats you (I want to assume you would choose a resppnsible man). Learn to also study and understand him so that you can respond accordingly to him as an individual. Different things make different men tick so know what makes yoir own man tick.

Also realize that there are some things he can do better than you; tap into it freely and vice versa. I am not talking of generic gender roles. Learn to make him feel loved and proud to be with you. Learn to talk to him respectfully and air your grievances with love

Learn to be yourself without pretense and always put him in your shoes when relating with him.

It is well
@ bolded is very correct. The rest of the post also makes sense.

@ chillis using several monikers does not change the obvious. Feminism is anti marriage. Feminism is okay as long as you want to remain a Lesbian or remain Unmarried or be a divorcee. Otherwise dump the ideology before you dump your marriage. A word is enough for the wise.
