Buhari is a failure, he proved that beyond doubt.

How can you contest 4 times and still not constitute a Cabinet in 6 months?

It is just unfortunate that votes are unlikely to count, they would use every dirty trick in the book to stay in power.

It would be awesome if the opposition can unite, put out 1 credible candidate and defeat Buhari...

...that way, with GEJ & PMB as examples of incumbent presidents who lost elections, leaders would respect the electorate more
We need a credible opposition leader. Tinubu ll v been useful here but he's destined to crash with APC.

Some of us know you simply choose to be mischievious.

Did he say ALL youth of Nigeria are lazy?

Besides semantics, I put it to you, the Nigerian youth do not display enough creativity.

How much research, patents, world class artistic work would you find in our institutions?
Let me guess..that's government's fault.

Ok let's go to the number of our young people who have access to the internet. How many are involved in programming, animation, international research syndicates?

Let me guess...that's the government's fault.

Here on Nairaland, start a topic with a misleading headline and wait to find how many would spot the disconnect between the headline and the body of the message.

Let me guess... it's the government's fault.

The youth of Nigeria are lacking in creativity and please don't give me Nollywood and Afro music. It can take only a few entrants.

We need people who want to create and constantly think of solutions.

We need people who channel their energy positively and not in cult activities, Yahoo or drug use.

Talking about drugs, this poor nation is experiencing a new wave of drug abuse...tramadol, codeine, skunk etc.
That's what the nation is about.

Many Nigerians are of the misconception that the country is rich but the reality is that we aren't.

Yes we have the potential to be wealthy, but we are a poor nation in every way, shape or form.

It is your choice to accept the criticism.

You can go renegade and discount it.
It is your life, your future. Play it as you wish.
out of every 12, there is a Judas. You can't expect that the youths who are over 100million out of 190million Nigerians ll not v bad eggs.
Don't justify Buhari's error statement. He disgraced Nigerians with his statement. A father expecting suitors for her daughters doesn't call her a prostitute. In his foo lishness, he was canvassing for foreign investors after calling the youths of his nation lazy. If you are Jeff Bozz, Zuckerberg or Gates, will you come to Nigeria after hearing what Buhari said. For you to defend Buhari shows that you personally is a the lazy one. Just like the president.

I blame you for still attending such church. How can you inconvenient yourself cos you want to attend a church? How can you board 3 different public buses just to attend church. GOD IS everywhere, you can worship in other churches close to you so long you have clear mind and conscience, it is never a must you worship in RCCG except if you have anyone closer to your house. I can never go to a church that is far to my house, never. The Bible has already said, God is where two or three persons are gathered and God can be anywhere and everywhere all at the same time. So why must you go that far just to attend church service? For what na? E no make any sense.
I once told a lady that it's unreasonable for her to go to a distant church. But you see, circumstances just make it to be that way. In my church we are just 4, myself, a brother, the Pastor & his wife. So.. I felt to leave them alone with the church still in baby stage ll discourage them. But you see, Christianity needs perseverance. While trying to persevere, our spirit was unwilling. All thanks to the anyhow creation of churches by some RCCG Pastors. They don't consider the early (first 5 years) of the church. That's the time that they need high support.

All said, authorities of churches worldwide should rise to make church creation more firm. Or else, we ll keep having stories that touches.

I m not loosing hope. I m just worried about how long this trend of creating parishes anyhow ll end. Especially those Pastors I sensed are creating it for creations sake. Maybe to get promoted or recognised.
As for the students, I only pray to get productive students. Those we v encountered so far only want a done soup. Cos of the status of the church that its still small, we are finding it hard to get permanent students members. Most of them visit once, eat our biscuit, drink our coke/fanta & run away to a nearby tushed RCCG. That's what aches my heart the most. It's like we were advertising, not evangelising at some point. I see you v tried to encourage me. Thanks. But I, and the three others v encouraged ourselves already. And we v decided to let our plight to be known so that we can get help asap. Else, people go run away.

The law is that 2 Parishes must not be too close sir; Please write you Provincial Pastor, through the Church Growth Officer (CGO) Copy APICP (Admin), Zonal/Area) about closeness and let them come for physical verification.
God will help you sir; dont be detered; intensify your evangelism, God will send help to you.
I know about the law. I know all about church creation in RCCG. It's unfortunate it was broken more than 10 times and still counting. I said churches closer to us are more than 10, plus a province sef.
We v written to the area, zonal & provincial pastors. After that, we got N100,000. This money was part of the less than N200,000 I said we v gotten since the beginning of the church. My area has 2 other parishes suffering the same fate as the one I attend.
When I analysed the whole thing, I felt sad coz this is not how to create a parish. It's just a case if over labouring members who ll not be able to withstand the plights if their church & may drain the personal accounts for the Church's use. We v done that severally in my parish.
I need to report directly to Baba Adeboye or any other higher authority. It's unbelievable how some churches were created in the town I live.
The issue of remittance, you ll see some people sitting down in AC at provinces questioning why your church didn't bring remittance or why your remittance is low. I encountered one on Dec 2017. After narrating to her that we were indirectly evicted from our church by the owner of the building, that the owner once fave us N20,000 to add to a loud speaker money... Only to collect it back after two months saying she needs the money. Meanwhile we saved the N20,000 and were raising N26,000 to add to the money. What about the church building, 3 different churches including a different RCCG v used it before us. Our area pastor due to lack of funds or his own short foresight naively took the building for us as church since it was free. The owner of the building didn't even v good report in that hood. Sometimes when we invite people to church, they say they can't come cos of the owner of the building's wahala.

Now, we got a hall of N120,000 per year. We exhausted all funds to rent and decorate the place small cos the hall has no cemented floor, no NEPA light, no meter.

Now, we v decided to tax our self to raise more funds. Somehow, we ll survive. What about others that are helpless or their workers v ran away. Who want church labour in this hard Nigeria. Do you know how it feels to see your friends who attends Winners Chapel, Christ Embassy and other churches that v standard branches or others that attends bigger RCCG parishes, zone or province? Job connections dey bug churches o.

I need to say this for you to know that some things v been shaking the body of Christ in RCCG. The earlier the better they are arrested.

Omooba77:
I can relate with you sir, that is the vision; you will be amazed at what God can do through you. I know a Parish that started in a sitting room, but today a Provincial Headquarters.
God will send labourers to you. There used to be a parish of '2 or 3' people around Masha, Surulere, but today a Zonal headquarters.
In our own scenario, Masha Surulere ll never get less than N200, 000 to create parish. That area ll not v over 10 parishes and they still create another smaller one with less finance and man power.

I m aware of the vision of creating churches within 5 mins walking distance. But in my Church's case, the parish pastor that created that lets go a fishing site and people like him who just create new churches without thorough physical exercises needs to be chastised. Cos more churches are still looking created that way. Omoba77, you can't cope in an area where RCCG is not needed. That area where my church is has over 10 RCCG. Except the funds & labour that are coming from myself and the three other people, we v gotten only little. The funds released to us and the one handed to us around Dec is not up to N200,000.

If you know what it takes to create a parish in a city, you ll be discouraged. This is 2018, not 1987 where you can start a RCCG church with Bible and bell. People want structures, equipments, etc. We are trying and trusting God. But little has been done. That area has excess RCCG churches, that's what amazes me every time.

I m writing to RCCG camp about our plight. It's like some Pastors create parishes just to get promotion/recognition.

It will be good the Pastor put the record straight

1. Africa Mission offering is not done every week; unless the Parish/Area/Zone/Province made a commitement to do so. I will be more clearer on tnis if I know his parish.

Also money does not go straight to the purse of mummy G.O. Foluke Adeboye; there is a board headed by Pastor Brown Oyitso.

2. The church does not place anyone under curse; only reading what Malachi 3:8-10 says.

3. Lands in camp are not bought but free of charge after paying developmental fees and meeting other requirements; one of which you must be a member of RCCG. If you decide to leave, you can remove your house, but the land belongs to RCCG.

4.You shall know the Truth, the Truth shall set you free, if you know it. I will impore Pastor Wellington to ask for the leading of the Holy Spirit.

I am writing as a private member and as a worker in RCCG,; Iam not the spoke's man.

5. RCCG is not a cult; there is free entry and free exit
the defence of no 3 by you is dicey. I m also a worker n member of RCCG. But I m surprised at some grey areas that needs addressing. Presently, I m tired of going to my parish coz it's far to my house. I spend extra to get to church on Sundays. And I v numerous RCCG at trek able distances to my house. In fact, I can spend 2 mins to get to one of them.

A lot needs to be done in moving of workers and members. Why I v not quited my parish is cos it's a young parish with only 4 people as main workers. We need money & human power to work. If I leave, it's like I betrayed or just left dem with nothing. But when ll that not happen? Our failure to get members to boost the church is affected by excess other RCCG parishes in our hood. It's like they made a mistake creating our own. The Youths there don't wanna come to a new small church with little equipment and less attractive environment. So... Once they come on a Sunday to sample, they hop to another well tushed parish the next Sunday. Some say it to our eyes that our church no fine. That's why they aren't coming. So much to talk about. I wish to v access to RCCG top guns tell them of my experience.

In this hard Nigeria, nobody should v a church that's giving him/her headache!

Those of us who are either members of or familiar with RCCG put up a defence yesterday.
I can confidently say that your first rebuttal is in order. In my own parish sef, they've never collected African Mission offering, as far as I know. What members are told to give towards is CSR offering (and it's even every month) that forms part of the money the church uses for huuuge humanitarian services.
However, I still think RCCG have few gray areas that need to be looked at and corrections made.

every man on the internet is anti marriage now lmao. Pleaseee, cry me a river ahbeg. Women receive pressure as much as men do. You live in Nigeria with Nigerian parents, you cannot be a bachelor forever. When you’re 38, single all your mates are married and can’t hang out as much, lonely, nobody to call your own that’s when you’ll be looking upandan for a wife. The pressure from family and friends will be unreal. It always happens. It’s doing you now because you’re young, everybody lives their life to learn the hard way. Go and look at toks2008 or whatever his name is, he’s a perfect example. Just pray that you’ll find a good wife.
Geestring is right. Whatever happens to toks2008. The points Geestring made are valid. You women and you'd family's demand makes wedding expenses high. It's true if one meets a good woman of understanding who realizes that wedding party can be minimal and more should be concentrated on sustaining the marriage which is for life time, the better. But what has the society taught our girls and what do most of them want? A wedding party like Banky W & Adesua Etomi.

Messi took off his shirt and pointed it to Madrid fans in last year's 3-0 win at Bernabeu. Players are human and bound to err. So don't be hard or Ronaldo. As for the match, it's a penalty. As for the red of Buffon, it's debatable
