Shebi DaddyFreeze said tithing is an old testament thing. So it is for this blasphemous side chick message. It was taken from old testament too. The Apostles & Jesus didn't preach it.
See, tithing isn't compulsory, it's a thing to give with free mind. DaddyFreeze should correct people that said it's compulsory. Instead of him telling Pastors to point out Biblical verses that validates tithing. There's none that said it's compulsory but there are verses that said it was payed. Final verdict on tithing, it should be payed as the spirit leads. Christianity is practised with Biblical facts & common sense. It's not only things in the Bible Christians should practice. They are to follow good things from their culture, learnings etc.
On DaddyFreeze, he's a man who's controlled by his lust. He doesn't talk about other angles of Christianity like holiness, salvation, evangelism etc. Whatever his callous mind thinks it's not proper, he polishes & sell it to the gullible & lackadaisical Christians. I simply don't believe in the idea of "god of Wealth" in Yoruba sense. There is no need to argue this either because, from muslim perspective 'God of wealth' is Allah. He is the Provider, The Sustainer and The Source of wealth. I believe the Yorubas at the time simply got it wrong the way Arab multiplied their gods in those days, believing that when calamities befell them, another god was responsible for that. When they bore a child, anther god was responsible for that. When they were rich another god was responsible for that etc. But we know Allah alone is responsible for all.


So there is no need for any Alfa to start arguing about whether the use if "Aje awa oo" is acceptable or not, and the youths start causing problems and creating nuisance around town over this.

What does it actually mean to go to church with white candle sticks on crossover nights. Because I can still remember clearly when I was growing up back in the days, we'd see almost everybody going to church with white candle sticks on crossover nights and if you don't have, it'll be as if you came from another world entirely...
That was when I'd start looking for a white candle stick to buy and in a situation whereby I could not get any, I'd beg someone who had to share with. And so it was that few minutes to the screaming/mention of happy new year, some peeps have already lit up their candle sticks. They would hold their lighted candle sticks till they got home and put them somewhere around the house until it'd burn down completely...
Meanwhile, I didn't even know the reason behind it then o, but I've been following the trend... But I later stopped doing it since I don't know exactly what it means and ever since then, I've been pondering on what it actually means...

I believe it is best to greet with generic greetings rather than saying 'merry christmas' because the whole concept (given its origin/significance) should not be endorsed by the muslim at all.

Through the Quran, we see how Allah addresses people who ascribe sons or daughters to Him.

It does not mean, you should not be kind and generous etc but I think the words of courtesy matter and I know there are some scholars who hold this view as well.

And certainly Allah knows best.
