Tobyy10: The statement are for my parents(mum and dad) and yes they got it by themselves; each page was stamped and signed and sum amount have been removed since after i submitted for their personal businesses How much was in the account previously and then how much was remaining in the account after your parents withdrew it? Are you sure the money was not withdrawn before the VO could verify it? Some people think that accounts are not verified... I used to think likewise, i even thought it was illegal. But i spoke with a banker who told me that in years past that it wasn't the norm, but that now they do give that information when requested. I dont know wether its all banks, So we should all be careful. |

Tobyy10: Goodday y’all..i received a letter saying my statement of account is fraudulent (Which ais mot true)and was given a period of time to reply to this misrepresentation.. any advice on what to do and go about it? Woww! Who owns the account? Is it yours or your sponsors? If it belongs to your sponsor you cannot guarantee it. If it belongs to you, you may need to request cover letter from your bank along with the same statement for that duration that you initially sent. Such cover letters was about 3,500Naira some years back, i don't know how much it is now. You may plead with your sponsor to obtain that cover letter from the bank. I think thats the way to authenticate it. Others may suggest otherwise. |

holluville: got my notes yesterday.
Application ; July 5 Biometrics : August 24 decision on eligibility from gcms notes: July 23 I paid part fees(5kcad) in august
docs submitted: waec cert degree cert ielts trf all applicable imm forms
sponsor; my mum n aunty(a Canadian)
(mum)Her SOA with my estimated tuition and lil change Her payslips, RSA SOA, Landed Properties , letter of sponsorship, tax clearance cert, letter of introduction from her job, docs to establish relationship with her sister
(aunty) her letter of intro from job, Tax assessment forms, affidavit of support , letter of support, Her SOA( balance of 10k+cad )- I used this for Proof of funds
I've been unemployed for a while now so I didn't submit my SOA
Home Ties: my folks and siblings
I actually applied to a two year diploma program at UCN, a college in Northern Manitoba cos of its cheap tuition.. I went for a program(CED) different from my undergrad course(Finance) . I get discouraged anytime I read an undergrad dip is dead on arrival but was able to tackle this on my Sop relating it with my association with YALI network with proof.
I got admitted at Niagara College as well for PGD but in all honesty, I can't afford such hence my reason for a cheap undergrad dip.
I started classes on Sept 8 and the experience so far has been awesome. Unfortunately, I would be disengaging today. I haven't been comminuted officially by IRCC but I'm happy I got my notes on time as I have until October 2 for 100% refund..
I really appreciate all those contributing selflessly on this platform.... I'm grateful
@Lekiboboe.... Much love... no homo..
I also noticed another person's application correspondence on my gcms notes.. guess its a mix up from IRCC... So sorry for the delay. I noted you stated that you had started classes, were you issued an AIP? |

mazeb: My sister’s application was rejected by IRCC today based on home ties and getting employment in home country. However, she has started her online classes this September 2020.
She is confident that she can address the issues raised but the question now is :
1 How soon can she reapply. 2 Can she use the same documents before and add LOE. 3. How long is the reapplication process likely to take to enable her know if she can continue with her online lectures. Was she given an AIP before rejection? These rejections are becoming too much oh! |

Oghogho1313: You are quite correct. To provide a bit of context. I applied in May and the elligibiity review was done a month later in June. So, from June to September no update reflected online via the ircc portal besides biometric done in August and medicals(Upfront) done in August. I hope they still give out approvals to everyone still waiting for approvals in the gcms notes. I am only saying its quite likely it might not be the case.
Timeline
Applied on 15th May Biometric letter 16th May Upfront medical 1st August Send webform to update on deferment from Fall to Winter semester due to processing delays August Biometric enrolment 24th August (Updated same day online) Medical passed 27th August (after sending same via webform and email some weeks earlier) Requested gcms notes on 1st September received gcms notes on 23rd September (note that eligibility failed as at 10th June as that was when the entry was made in the gcms notes)

Samoye111: I applied for my study permit sometime in September. Biometrics request and background check followed immediately. I got Medical request in less than a week. I should also mention that I got admission into two top schools (masters program) within record time. I didn’t rely on how good my applications might look, but I held on to faith in God, that my case will be different. When I applied for my study permit, I prayed that my application will not exceed 1month by Gods grace, not knowing it would take far less than a month. Also for my admissions, I specified the week I would receive admission from the two schools. Lo and behold, the admissions came one day apart in that specific week. Nothing is impossible with God! This story is just tip of the iceberg of how powerfully I have experienced God. All things are possible for anyone who has faith in God. Let’s always rely on God, I promise, people would think you are doing jazz...lol Please I’m not saying don’t do the hard work oh, but don’t put your faith in your hard work. So many “perfect” applications have been rejected. My final advice - don’t just pray, be specific in your prayers, it shows your level of faith before God. Peace! Were you sent an AIP? have you started lectures? |

mii4all: Silent reader..but i thought to share this one. I think everyone should apply for their gcms notes so you can plan yourself accordingly. it will certainly give you an idea of VO's leanings on your matter especially if you haven't gotten an update and your application has been ongoing for at least 3 months +. It seems a lot of decisions have already been made.
Profile: BSc Engineering, 30+, Married, Banker, going for MBA @ UoT
1st application; Applied 9th Feb No medicals Biometrics done 17th Feb BVL 5th Mar 1st Application Refused 6th Mar Reasons: Home ties, Purpose of visit, Employment prospects Applied for GCMS 10th Mar Received GCMS 8th April
2nd application 28th April Revised LOE specifically targeting visa refusal reasons and VO's concerns as seen in GCMS notes Upfront medicals Medicals passed 26th May BVL 26th May No update since, no AIP Started classes online without resigning 1st Sep Applied for GCMS 1st Sep Received GCMS 19th Sep
I suppose 'info sharing' as seen in the notes implies that PPR will happen when travel restrictions ease and normal operations resume.
It will end in praise.

Phatkayconcept: Based on my experience with QLife, I will choose them again and again. Unlike what people say about their services. They respond to email and booking very fast, their in-service is fast and professional, and they updated my account in 3days, even though I did my medical on a Saturday. And above all, they are cost effective.
My experience with IOM is not impressive, it took them one week to reply my email message for booking. Exactly my experience, IOM hasn’t replied my emails and it’s over a month. I used Qlife, their the best. |

Marven: Dear Nairalanders, I applied for Canada study visa but was denied. Sir to Covid-19 pandemic leading to business lockdown and restrictions as you know I havent been able to retrieve my passport from vfs office and Canadian embassy. Due to urgent need for application to another country I am planning to declare the passport missing then replace it at passport office following the process. Someone had told me that that can land me on travel ban for 5 years. Do you think same too? Do you think there could be huge penalties to That? Please advice me candidly!
Thanks for your usual assistance, I'm still counting on you. Applying for a New Passport that has been declared missing is only approved in Abuja. The process is not a short one. Your passport may be out by the time you get a new one. They will tell you 3 weeks, but it took my own t4 months, after threatening fire and brimstone. I did not include the 3 months of lock down. Good luck, the decision is yours. |
