Please can we go private if you don’t mind.
Let me not disturb the General house with my questions.

Does the 7k+ approved include replacement? If yes,
Do you think they were among those shortlisted for the just concluded documentation?

Andychinedu:
Then they did it without the approval of the board and the FG

Andychinedu:

Some people were given appointment letter for the sum of 1million naira. But those officers involved were nabbed and thrown into prisons right now. Buhari no dey play ooo

Replacement is another form of recruitment only that it is usually not announced as in the form of Massive and fresh recruitment...

In a nut shell, it is Legal!

Alright
Please what if the above scenerio was replacement/slot selling, how come the officers were reprimanded in prison ?

The honest truth is, this documentation doesn’t guarantee employment. Reasons being that some will be screened out on criteria like age, incomplete documents, invalid/poor results and qualifications(Ideally, this is where replacement should take place)
If your documents are complete and valid, you are good to go. You will just have to pray against massive selling of slots in your state that might affect the merited candidates.
What is written is written. If God be for us, nobody can be against us.

Abdulrahman Dambazau is returning as a minister. I wish he returns to Ministry of Interior. He was the only one carrying us along all through the NPS recruitment process.

Any update on documentation?

I feel the delay is cos NPS had much backlogs. If we can remember, before the minister left, he procured new cars and renovated/built new structures. Now they are done with promotions. I heard they are retiring some staff this July. In my opinion, following due process entails that they achieve all these before bringing new people into the system.

Officers due for promotion would never allow recruitment without getting their entitlements.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Recruitment Into Nigerian Prisons Service 2018 by DiO2: 5:28pm On Jun 24, 2019
This people are unpredictable. ‘Re-Approving’ recruitment into NPS in May 2019 after advertising in April 2018 bought them more time to waste. No rule will be broken if they release the list in 10months time.

Let’s just hope and pray. I am tired of trying to predict them. Formally, it we predicted after elections, after Easter, after Ramadan, after swearing in,after democracy day, now before end of June. I hope we get it right this time.

I pray it doesn’t get to ‘after appointment of new cabinets or after appointment of new CGP and so on.

Another Friday almost gone. The best is seat back quietly and watch the story unfold. I’ve never seen an organization as secretive as NPS, MinOfInterior and CDFIPB. Vital information will hardly leak. Maybe cos the decision making is vested on the hands of a very few (Minister and perm sec, and CGP maybe.)

The successful candidates are the 7475 names that CDFIPB approved and signed for NPS. Whenever they start contacting the successful candidates, you’ll definitely know. Many of us are here in Jesus, Amen.
I don’t think any list is coming out, they’ll directly contact successful candidates only.

ladiesreject:
Guys, how are we going to know when the final list of successful candidates comes out? I am asking this question because during the recruitment exercise of the FRSC, nothing was heard again after the screening was done.

It's like they just called them in Abuja and gave them posting letters, because I didn't hear anything about them again and now someone is telling me they are already in camp. You know 9ja now!

Because, “Dambazau is already wishing the candidates a successful career in the services and pledges commitment of the board to ensuring adequate pre-deployment training,’’

I don't know which successful candidates he's congratulating.

So how do we know when the recruitment list of NPS comes out?

Thanks

In simpler terms, CDFIPB has signed (approved) the list presented to it by both NPS and FFS. It is a go ahead order to contact them and proceed with OUR appointment letters .
This shouldn’t take more than 2 weeks.

This got my attention.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Recruitment Into Nigerian Prisons Service 2018 by DiO2: 2:51pm On May 11, 2019
The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) , said, that contrary to speculations that the federal government was constructing more prison facilities, it is reducing the number , by replacing most of the over a century old facilities with modern day buildings that meets the required global standard.

Dambazau spoke at the commissioning of some projects and newly acquired vehicles at the Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS) headquarters in Abuja on Friday.

He said, ‘We are building prisons but we are not increasing the number of prisons. Most of our prisons are more that a century old. What we are doing is to build new ones that meets the required global standard for rehabilitation “.

He said, as it stands now , “government has decided to shift focus from crimes to persons involved in criminal acts and their prospects as well as putting their environment into consideration; social and economic. This is because We are not seeking vengeance for the fact that the offender is human and can change.”

He urged the NPS to take good care of the vehicles and other projects executed by the government.

***He expressed optimism that there would be more improvements in the Service when the Nigerian Prisons and Correctional Service bill is finally accented to by President Muhammadu Buhari.***

I highlighted the last paragraph. Could it have anything to do with the delay?

I feel there’s an internal problems in the ministry of interior/ CDFIPB cos this delay is not ordinary.
It might be after Ramadan/ swearing in #Dunno

I am sorry for transgressing the purpose of the thread.
@ Mr coco, is the training of Replaced cadets done together with those of recruitment? Or those replaced are trained differently irrespective of thier number.

Eg NPS wants to recruit about 5000 officer in 2019,
If 50 officers came in via replacement, will all the officers be trained together? or the 50 officers will be trained differently and/or secretly?

mistacoco2:
replacement is normally done secretly and who you know that's Nigeria for you.. Same training period(6) months.. I don't if replacement will be done soon
