Kos is good enough for ANY first team. The fact that you don't rate him doesn't make him any less good.
We know the usual suspects whose presence have signified a drop in standards at Arsenal but Kos is certainly NOT one of them. Bar Vidic, Kompany and maybe TV5 there is only a realistic few CBs that have any braggings rights over Kos so your list of 20 defenders isn't reasonable.
Gibbs, TV5, Kos and Sagna is nearly as good as any defence in England.

Its really scandalous that DjorouKanu earns $50k per week, leaves me wondering how much a certain Koscielny earns.
As an aside, among Hannie's predictions is that Koscielny won't come good. Fast forward 2010–11,  Arsenal fans voted Laurent Koscielny as Arsène Wenger’s most effective signing and everyone is now seeing what talent we have in him

He would be a great addition for us i reckon, but its also as likely that he is a replacement for RvP and not exactly an addition.
The richer clubs will easily part with 25M for RvP's services and if we get Podo for around half that amount, I trust Wenger will let go RvP.

Well, i had a May admission offer but i asked the school to shift it to september because i don't want the canadian office to say my admission came late. I just received my september offer by courier dis afternoon and even though sept it quite far, i'm OK that the canadian office will have all the time they can ever want.

If u want to submit at Ikeja, u won't need to get any DHL return envelope. Just go with all ur required document and a fee of slightly less than N5000. I may be submitting mine tomorrow too

From what I have seen of the so-called Beta Nland, its does not at all look refreshing or amusing to me. It rather has a all too familiar look of other far-less visited forums and if Nlands outlook should be upgraded, it should be to something exciting - like Facebook did. Just imagine what would become of facebook if it suddenly looks like hi5.
So my suggestion, leave Nland as it is until u have a design that wins. The proposed Beta is a drawback IMO

Nice game today but i'm not thrilled yet. This current Arsenal team gives us one week bragging rights and several subsequent weeks of teeth gnashing, heart aches and bad temper. Let me see them qualify ahead of AC Milan and catch up with Tottenham, that's when i can rate them for the season.

You may as well rate them already cos qualifying ahead of AC is no more one of options. Catching up with the spurs is feasible though

The fact the Arshavin only recently moved and we come up with such an amazing win reminds me of a story recently reported about certain Arsenal first team players expressing disapproval over some player in the team (Arshavin, i bet). I hope his move away truly reflects on the long run with spirited performances like this as everybody seemed to be fully eager to perform.

Also I cannot but mention that we seem to play better without Ramshit. I have been drawing closer to this conclusion having seen games in which he didn't feature. The urgency at which we played today shows what we are capable of if players like Ramshit isn't there to slow down momentum.

Loads of credit to Rosicky who reminded us of what we saw before the evil injury that affected the quality of his game.

Walcott is looking good now and I think its the perfect time to cash in on him. Regardless of how many goals he scores, he has no football brain. He really got lucky today as his final touches weren't superb but at least he buried chances.

Kos literally killed Adebayor today. I'm so proud of him cos for me, he is one of the best CBs in the league

D Day has come. I hope we don't get humiliated today cos that'll really piss the fans present at the Emirates off. Spurs are meant to be beaten at the Emirates but we cannot say we have the team to earn that atm. Defence is strong in Gibbs/Kos/TV5/Sagna but with our poor midfield (Song looking out of form, Ramsey and Arteta not being so good) and attack being nearly a one-man thing.
Spurs look the likelier to carry the day with a stronger but its football and we are the Arsenal -
a team capable of anything imaginable.

For a transfer to go through, you need:

A. A club to show interest in the player and make a tangible offer.

B. The player agreeing to move to Turkey, Spain, Babylon or wherever for probably lesser wages.

This isn't FIFA manager where you transfer list a player and receive a dozen offers within 24 hours. Even people who have played Football Manager should know how difficult it can be to sell unwanted players.


I need more info on how much Djourou earns on his new contract and when his old one was due to expire before i can pass definite judgement.

OK, he isn't exactly a world beater but has shown some potential, just last season he was one of the best performing CBs in the league for a long period. Remember he's only a 4th/5th choice CB. He's one of those players fans love to hate so gets a lot more criticism than he deserves. If you take a minute to compare him with other 4th/5th choice CBs you'd realize you shouldn't hop on every internet-inspired player-hate band-wagon.

So if a poor performing player doesn't have any other clubs interested in him, its more logical to renew his contract than to let the contract run till its end. That's stwpid. No one is saying he should have been sold, the bone of contention here is whether renewing his contract is justifiable.

Djorou was never 'one of the best performing CBs in the league'. His purple patch last season was commendable only by Arsenal standards (TV5 was injured we had a very shaky looking defense).

Renewing his contract regardless of how much he earned or earns is a very indefensibly wrong decision as Djorou is worse than any other  4th/5th choice CBs in any of the top 4 teams.
