I'd like to understand this WES evaluation better before starting.

Can I use hellofax to fax my transcript (UNOFFICIAL) to WES-US?

If yes, how ll they contact my school back for confirmation? Or am I to input my school's address somewhere along the line? Since it's the unofficial transcript, will the confirmation make it official? (Please permit my ignorance)

Can someone put me through the process like a summary.

I also read about getting the official transcript from the school nd sending it yourself to WES. Which address should I use as the sender? Mine? School's?



Can I also fax my original WAEC certificate myself? Is that accepted?

First, register an account online with WES, make payment and you will be given a REFERENCE NUMBER. Also you will see a detailed info on how and where(address) to send it on your dashboard.

Second, You can't send any unofficial copy of your document to WES. It won't be accept. The only document you can send through FAX is your degree certificate. Your Degree Transcript and WAEC has to be sent directly from the institution.

SO WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
STEP 1. After making payment to WES, take out your REFERENCE NUMBER. Make sure you include this number on all your documents you will be sending to WES.

STEP 2: Go to your university, request for your transcript and give instruction to be sent to the WES address on your dashboard.

Step 3: Go to WAEC, process your confirmation of result and instruct them to send it to WES adress on your Dashboard.

Don't worry yet how they will contact your school. They know how to contact them. When it gets to that stage you'll also see it on your dashboard. Yours is to hasten your school to verify quick if you attended a public university.

MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE YOUR REF NO IN ALL DOCUMENTS

1.You can only process your confirmation of result to WES at Yaba Lagos and not your school.

2. Having E8 in Maths does'nt matter.

3. You have to send your degree transcripts separately as it must be sent by the institution itself. You have request for your transcript from your shool and to be sent directly to WES.

By the time you filled out your application with WES. You will see the required documents needed from you.

When I got to WAEC office, I was told to scratch the card to reveal the pin in order to fill the form. They said it's a new development that WES people are tired of scratching our cards for us. I hope my experience helps others.

Make use of WES calculator online, you will have to input all your grades and unit/credit. You can do that through wes.org

You can evaluate your results now. You will need to go to your school to send it directly to WES. Yes statement of result will work but thats if it does not have expiry date on it

The reason WES started asking for waec is to clear DOB issues. Degree certificates has no DOB written on them,newer waec certificates has DOB on them.What WES needs waec for is to verify DOB.

This is not true because i did mine and it was succesful with diff DOB on WAEC and University Transcript. Who told you WES uses weac dob. For your information, your degree transcript(not certificate) must have a date of birth, course of study etc. WAEC is just a confirmation you wrote the exam and that was what you use for your degree.

Hello everyone. Please for anyone that has done waec verification. Want to do same for my husband. But he wrote his waec in the 90's, his waec certificate does not have date of birth. Has anyone experienced this? Can we use it like that since that's what WES is looking out for? Or is there anything waec does for this?

I got an update on my WES evaluation today and it’s a little confusing. I sent my notification of result and WAEC scratch card in the same envelope and I believe they recieved it because they claim to have accepted the WAEC scratch card but not the notification of result. I would have thought they didn’t receive the package or maybe it was lost in transit if they didn’t acknowledge the receipt of the WAEC scratch card. My question is, is it that WES doesn’t accept notification of result and only accepts degree certificate and/or statement of result? My school only issued the notification of result at the time of graduation and we were told that our degree certificate isn’t ready for collection yet. I don’t know if the statement of result is available for collection. I would appreciate comments from people who have had similar experience.

Notification of result should work. I will suggest you fax them the notification of result and make sure you include your ref number. Thats what i did and it was received immediately and updated the next day on my profile. You can do that tomorow.

Does your notification of result not have expiry date on it? Cos mine expired a year after it is been issued which i think its no more valid for any use again, had to request for original certificate.

When you fax it to them, they should acknowledge the receipt. Then if the notification accepted, you will see it on your profile. So try that option to know whats the problem.

Bro i will suggest you look for schools first. Try Castleton University, Vermont if they are offering your program. If you have other requirements like GRE and the like it will compliment each other and i am sure you will get admited. Some schools offers conditional admision. Just take your time to make research. Dont be worried about your GPA. You will still see better schools to admit you.

Bro what year did you grad and what department? Maybe there is a restructure in the grading system. I also grad in eksu. For years this has been the grading system:

4.5 - 5.0 First class
3.5 - 4.49 Second class upper
2.5 - 3.49 Second class Lower
1.5 - 2.49. Third Class
1.0 - 1.49 Pass

Hope there is no error in your transcript?

**UPDATE I just confirmed. You are actually right 2.40 -3.49 is second class lower.

It hasn’t o. The only new thing on my dashboard is that my status was last updated on2/8/2019 from the last time it was updated which was 2/1/2019. Status is still in progress and it says they are still reviewing my documents. That’s basically all there is to it for now so I’m still waiting. Have you received any status update?

No update yet on my profile. My status was last updated last on the 29th january. Guess it should be done by Monday.

Go to Neco office to send the official copy to WES. Its does not have to be WAEC. Better still make use of IQAS they dont require any secondary school certificate.

Wassup with your WES evaluation? Have you recieved the tracking number? I’ve received mine and it’s been delivered already. I think WES takes too long to evaluate documents though or I might just be overreacting. They last attended to my document (University transcript) on 1st of February and now that they’ve received the WAEC document only God knows when they’ll conclude the evaluation. I’m just trying to beat the deadline.

Bro it just got delivered today also. I guess it takes 2days for WES to update it. Then 5-7days for evaluation but not sure though

Bro what is the matter. You can only suceed when you keep trying. You might be facing one challenge or the other but know thats not the end of the world.

I was responding to a point raised above of not sending both documents together as it raises suspicion. Definitely, WES will verify via WAEC having received a copy of the WAEC certificate and scratch card.

WES cannot accept that if that is what you meant, as it must be sent by the institution or examining body itself.

You can send your WAEC confirmation with scratch card together when applying at WAEC office.

Regarding your degree certificate you can FAX to WES and it will ve accepted since it require only photocopy of it.

The WES U.S. fax number is 212-739-6100.
The WES Canada fax number is 416-972-9004

You can make use of HELLOFAX in sending it. The website is https://www.hellofax.com It is FREE OF CHARGE. And it will be sent and delivered immediately but it will take 2-3 days for WES to update your profile. My own case was the next day to be updated on my profile.

You scan your certificate with Reference number on it ( write the reference number on a white paper then place it ontop of the cerificate)

NB: Make sure you write your reference number on it.
