Not just a judge but the Acting CJN which you said will not be honored by his colleagues.

Let PDP and Bureau De Change Onnoghen go to court if they refuse to do the honorable thing.
PoliticsRe: State Of The Nation Address By Atiku Abubakar, Presidential Candidate Of The PDP by disturbedman: 11:20am On Jan 28, 2019
cheesy

I am beginning to believe what started as a rumor that Atiku/PDP actually paid BDC Onnoghen to get to power.

If not, why will PDP carry the matter for head like their whole life depend on it?

No chance for thieves at the federal level anymore. What you cannot get through the ballot, you want to get through a BDC Onnoghen.

When you say ANYTHING, it includes rigging election to stay in office.
Now listen to me you unrepentant zombie... Democracy is a government of the people, it revolves around what the people feels, not what the incumbent feels. If majority of the people feels like giving their votes to a thief, the incumbent has no right to stop the people from achieving what they want. It is very visible to the blind and audible to the deaf that majority of Nigerians had rejected Saint Buhari and decided to replace him with the alleged corrupt Atiku. If the incumbent and their supporters were sensible, they should have been more worried about why the people had rejected them to support a so called thief and what might happen if they use their power of incumbency to stop the people from getting what they want at the polls.

Before Friday, it's either one or more of the following will happen:
- Ononghen is reinstated by the NJC, court or buhari will be forced to do so
- the CJN usurper Tanko Mohammed will be booted out by the NJC/court because he wasn't recommended-
- A new CJN will be recommended by the NJC, his name is Boda rhodes vivour from LAGOS state. While his assistant will be Mary Odili.
Wake up. This is PMB. Remember he has ear infections which prevent him from hearing wailing of PDP!

I agree with you that people will complain but 50% of the blame would be on him now whichever way.
This is still better than tampering with the already prepared/submitted list. This can easily be explained than changing names which will be interpreted differently.

Papa Chukwudi, NJC won't suspend Tanko. You can be rest assured of that. NJC would now be more interested in repairing its battered image than engaging in a useless confrontation because of one BDC Onnoghen. cool

Since the BDC one did a terrible compilation, one would expect MR. FIX IT to peruse and do a due diligence on the list before hurriedly doing the swearing in.

Are you sure?
100% sure.

The names were submitted by each state's Chief Judge and forwarded to the President of the Court of Appeal. The cJN only swears them in.

"It could be recalled that the new acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Mohammed on Saturday, January 26 swore in 250 members of the election tribunals at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja."

Then who were those sworn in abuja?
Judges were compiled by BDC Onnoghen before his suspension. The Ag. CJN only swore those same judges in.

If this Bureau De Change Onnoghen and his PDP paymasters indeed are for Nigeria to prosper and do the right thing, this "forgetting" and "mistaking" judge will resign on the weight of allegations against him.

You say you don't have a private business and you don't have another side job, but you have millions of dollars, pounds and euros in your numerous accounts! And when you're asked to defend how you got the billions, you run like a headless chicken from one court to the other to stop your prosecution! To show you're guilty of the allegation, you suspend the JCN you head from sitting indefinitely!

If na me be Buhari, I go put you straight in jail. But e do well sha.

izombie:
the intention was for the judiciary to be independent. That also goes for the president. Imagine a situation where saraki as the senate president suspends buhari without a 2/3rd majority of the senate. Why is this so hard for you people to understand? Buhari has trampled on our constitution. Without the constitution then when people commit crime and are arrested, then they will just be thrown in jail without going to court and trial.
But BDC Onnoghen was not going to allow JCN to sit to look into the allegation

So the intention of the constitution is that if a Judge kills a whole village and the NJC fails to recommend his prosecution, he will continue to sit as a judge and be dispensing justice against other lawbreakers? Are we mad?

Even if the opposition has a majority, impeachment takes nothing less than 6 months. It's not as easy as people talk about it online.

PDP and their sympathizers know that the Senate cannot do jack.

The JCN can only recommend Tanko for suspension but they can't suspend him.

It means he is no longer performing the duties of a CJN while his suspension lasts.

Panic mode activated in the APC camp.

Of course, the NJC members must have written to and gotten approval to convene from their constitutionally recognized Chairman over whom the president has zero say.

You guys will soon realize that Nigeria is bigger than the Aso Rock.

So, I advice you to quit trying to preempt the NJC. grin
You seem to know a lot about this whole issue.

How did you know the NJC wrote to Onnoghen who is effectively suspended? Is the suspended CJN attending this meeting? If yes, I may agree with your position. If no, you are wrong then.

SalamRushdie:
so how does this give Buhari the power to suspend the Chief Justice of Nigeria
I have read many views about the whole saga. The best and most balanced one was that of Jiti Ogunye. In all of the opinions I have read, not a single one of them had any reason to say Onnoghen did not err. So, if he erred and decided to frustrate the right things to be done especially by postponing indefinitely the sitting of JCN, he should be allowed to carry on?
FamilyRe: Pics Of A Baby Dump In A Drainage this Morning by disturbedman: 4:52pm On Oct 08, 2012
Johndoe100: The world is a hard place. Babies get dumped when they are not wanted and the mother / parents can think of no other way out. Abortion should be legal and freely available.
I beg to disagree with you. Though it is inhuman to dump unwanted babies like this but it's better than abortion by far in my opinion. At least this baby has a chance of living and becoming something in life. The chance of living with abortion is zero. Plus abortion is a major sin in the sight of God, this is a smaller sin in my opinion.
But this life na wa self o!

obowunmi: Aaaah - so roles have changed. Now its hard to comment, are you supporting her with house work?

I don't know what to say. Hope no one is toasting her at work.
How have roles changed because a wife supports his family financially? We are talking of living abroad and I don't think it's a big deal for this to happen. You should know that it's entirely different from living in Nigeria.
I do up to 35 to 40% of house chores not because of her financial support but for the love and her sometimes tight schedule. I could do same if I was not getting any financial support from her.
FamilyRe: Advise Him: He Got This Mail From His Wife by disturbedman(op):
Floxxi: Yes it is required of a woman to be submissive to their husbands yet for the husbands too to respect them you dont respect your wife by telling her"o go" owo die die lara n fe= everyone deserves little respect, learn to respect your wife's opinion forgive her and show the love. Some men feel by showing their wifes they love them they are downgrading themselves then why did you marry her if you cannot show her the love till d end. I thnk you should fa iyawo yin mora if indeed you love your children, respect her.
Well thanks for your advice.
