Thanks. I'm a Christian. But even Pastors need to talk sometimes to someone unbiased- people that don't love or hate them that's why God even recommended being kind to strangers. It gives them the strength to unburden themselves.

Any psychologist in the house?
I sort of grew up with various people and at different locations. For some reasons, I didn't spend much years with my parent, max 4 years. Then, those I lived with also, I spent a maximum of 4 years with them too or location.
The ones I lived with the longest, we got to really enjoy each other's company after I left for the University and came home once a year.
Even in school, I lived with people once. When someone becomes too close, it feels good. I enjoy it and as soon as they begin to drift away, I do too.
In essence, I drift away easily.

So, it kind of make me detached and make me find it hard to remain close to anyone. And when I see any sign of withdrawal or even you reacting in a funny way to me, I start the process of ending it unconsciously.

I really need advise from people. I've tried psychologists but I don't have enough money for their sessions.
So, help me glean from your experience and anything you want to say.

you mock centino for having 700 visitors in a day on his brand new site compared to nairaland's 12,000. do not despise the days of little beginnings.

Even a bad dog has its own day. That wadewaltz has been a troll doesn't mean he's always wrong but I guess his reputation preceded him. Nevertheless, if you didn't see the place I said our power is limited to extent we can't contact the owner of the forum, then I'm stating it here.

I was advising him to play his game well with this traffic he can get through Nairaland. I was only advising him to not let his readership slip off. But what do I know? I don't own a story blog or anything of such.

So, Centino all the best in your endeavors.

Please no one is blaming you guys per say. We know you didn't do it on purpose. We are just saying review if possible the spam bots security level. That's all. No need saying he should play his game well becos he has actually played it well.
Lastly, 757 is not as good as 12k we know. But we also know , (and I'm sure you know too), that it feels good to post in peace without any fear of being banned, mistakenly. Trust me. A one room is better than another persons palace that I stay. Peace bro

Perhaps the antispambot needs to be reviewed then. I'm sure lots of spammers are being caught by the bot, but when people like Centino are repeatedly banned as well, it tells you the system could do with quite a bit of improvement.

Of course, thanks to NL frustrations, the young man has finally made the leap to his own permanent site. I've just been there; 119 visitors already by 7:50am today, 757 yesterday. That can't be bad for a site that is less than a week old.

I'm not in charge of anything than to report any activities and stop spammers. We practically run this section with little power than to make it lively and ordered. So, if Centino leaves, I'm happy for him. But like Wadewaltz said, 757 visitors are not as good as 12k visitors. He should play his game well because some guys really access Nairaland for its community, for the accessibility without data. It will take time to build and maintain a larger readership.

The only power we have is only to ban and unban, stop spammers and trolls, and hide and unhide posts. Aside those, we're regular members.

Been pondering on joining that writertain forum. I love writing fiction but it seems the literarture section of nairaland is saturated and not many people recognize my work. I hope fiction writers get some recognition on that forum of yours

It's literally for Writers and publishers and everything writing. I created it to serve as a bridge. It will take time but the publishers will soon flood the place.

So, fiction will thrive there and your work will thrive.

It's sad. I'm tired of reading the girl child as a victim or marriage problem or rape and the likes. One thing most publishers don't know is that one can put these themes into any genres. Even a sci Fi. I hope things change soon Sha.

I do hope too. The leaders want classical novels or things that look like it. So, someone has to build a publishing house like Cassava books but they don't have enough to take much of the other genre.

The fault lies with the ministries and schools. The old men are after morals and books that depicts Nigeria's turmoil. Well, most publishers have included books on Feminism and the girl child. So, in essence to be published, you must either talk about immorality in the country or Nigeria and its corruption, which is draining off at the moment, or the girl child as a victim or a girl hero but not be too confrontational. It must speaks of a little suffering in the conventional way. She must rise to glory through a good man but not solely dependent on him.

Any other genre aside those ones would require that you spend money. Unfortunately, after a while, if you record high sales, the rate would drop gradually until you have to give your book for free or write a new one to keep your name out there.

Centino, the mods have no reason to ban you.
The antispambot bans people when it suspects anything suspicious.
When it does that, just ask your fans to mention me or send a message to the mods. Ask everyone we've dealt with, we are always quick to unban people. We won't know unless you report.
This goes to the fans.
