When you click on the drop down, your document/file should show submitted.
Why don’t you open this site on your pc or laptop instead of on a mobile? I will advise you do that

Hi guys, so I was able to go for my appointment lastweek. They only took my pics and I did biometrics.
But the thing is, since I uploaded my docs online, the status has been on 'file uploaded
Isn't it meant to change to submitted even after I've done my biometrics??
Click on View Upload. And then click on the document type. The status should show submitted.

Been reading all the post and counter post about spanking a child or not spanking.
As I said earlier, make your child your disciple. Discipline is teaching.
Stress and frustration from all the wahala in the world is what makes parent merciless flog their kids in the name of punishment.
I for example develop a speech impediment (stammer) which is still affecting till today cos I was terrified anytime my dad flog or about to flog me. I’ve forgiven him though as I know it is not his fault.
I don’t want my kid to ever go through the same.
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Divine88: 7:27pm On Jan 17, 2021
Aphrodite007:
What does that mean? How do you do that?
Discipline is the opposite of punishment.
Discipline is non judgemental, non controlling and does not create fear.

That’s exactly what I am talking about it’s not okay to hit , A lot of Nigerian kids are so timid and they end up not able to look people in the eye. it’s child abuse. Now you think that beating is okay. All I’m saying is that if you bring up your children here the way Nigerian parents do you will end up causing everlasting damage. There are many ways to discipline a kid that doesn’t involve beating.
Kids are very curious and they ask a lot of questions, sit down and talk to them instead of giving them the brush off.
I’ve been watching a lot of Dr. Gabor Mate lectures on YouTube.
He once said and I quote “the best and most effective way to discipline your child is make them your disciples”
That’s stuck with me.

Same concern I had last year. You can book dates/appointments when the site informs you via email. For me, they sent a mail/link directing me to use the new app UKVCAS IDV 21 days after I filled the application online. The app which you download on your mobile phone was where I uploaded all my documents and picture. They explained that applicants whose previous biometric are less than 5 years old are qualified to use the app instead of booking appointments and going to the centres. 3months and 1 week later I got my FLR residence permit card.
Hope this helps
I think IDV app was specifically used by applicant who submitted their applications during the first lockdown months. This was done as there were a lot of pending applications.
I submitted my application last month and did my biometric this week.
Like I advise the original OP. New appointment dates are release at 12 midnight every day.

Yes, it's the sopra steria system but it doesn't even have the option to upload. The moment I paid, I was redirected and I setup my account and the next thing was for me to book an appointment which wasn't available at all.

The site that allows you book the appointment should have an upload facility. I’m sure you’re using the sopra steria system, that’s where I uploaded.
New appointment dates are updated at 12 midnight every day. I will advise you check then.
When you finally book an appointment. The upload system will be available for you.

Ladies and Gents,

Merry Christmas to you all.

I have not seen any information on the passport photograph format requirement, please where can I locate this information, any link??
Are u submitting a physical form or you are/have submitted online?
If you’ve submitted an online application, you don’t need a passport photograph as the image taken during your biometric is what’s really needed.

Hi guys,

Please how do I follow up with or track my NI? I am trying to call them, it’s over 50mins now, with no response from their end. It seems I am just waiting in futility.

It seems a thief has been stealing people’s letters in my house. Some of the housemates have complained of not receiving their letters.

I was supposed to have received my DBS & NI by now, but alas, there are no where to be found. I have requested for a DBS reprint and need to follow up with the NI as a classmate I submitted my application 1week before her forms came just informed me that she received her NI this morning.

Advices and suggestions are most welcome, have a nice day ahead.
I laugh at the bolded statement grin
No one will steal your mails or letters. I think you or your housemates must have put in the wrong postcode or addresses.
To always confirm if your address is correct with Royal Mail. Always check this Royal Mail link.

https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode

You can actually zoom into any address just as google maps works. Apparently this is what Royal Mail uses.

Y'all saying klopp doesn't deserve the award are pusssy ass simps... You don't watch football... Liverpool was one victory away from becoming invincibles in the last season... Even the season before that, Klopp took Liverpool from Farmers league(EPL) to Champions league final after 17+ years ( since 2005)

To me he is a beast of coach, turning average players into world class competitors.

Argue with your vagina people...
Am surprised people are saying Klopp don’t deserve this. A man who helped won a trophy his team/city have been praying for 30 years. That’s an achievement on it own. He has made history already

Insurance quotes are relative and are determined by many factors like

Age of driver (under 25s are seen as high risk drivers)
Area where u live (some cities are more expensive than the other
Occupation (some jobs are considered to be at higher driving risk)
Type of car (how economical and cost of the car)
License age (how long u have had ur license)

So as a new driver in the UK and for someone who might not have enough UK driving history it’s expected that the insurance quote will be high.

But u can apply for blackbox (a device that monitors how you drive) this might reduce the quote a little
Or you add 1 or 2 other drivers who already have a UK driving history to the list of drivers.

Thank you Sir.

How long can one wait before getting the free NHS covid test in UK?

As in the protocol to follow to get the free NHS covid test?
You don’t need to wait. Go online and find a covid test centre close to you. All na by slot ooo. You must keep on refreshing your page to find the nearest testing centre to you.
Mind you the British populace and government are complaining there is no enough testing materials.
Just keep on refreshing you will find something.
Results is sent to you via SMS and email. It takes 24 - 48 hours max

My Experience travelling to Nigeria from the UK and returning to UK.

1. You need to do Covid test( NHS offer free test) which must be negative.
2. Upload your test results into the Nigerian Port health portal https://nitp.ncdc.gov.ng/onboarding/homepage
3. You will be given a QR code, for this code to be generated u need to pay 50400 Naira online and also choose the date and laboratory in Nigeria where u want to have your test.
Without the QR code, the airlines will not let you board
4. Arriving Nigeria, they ask you about the QR code.
No one holds your passport.

Departure to the UK
1. No one cares about your test results ( but u can still do it oo) You only need to fill and complete the UK public Health locator form

https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk?

2. U need that before u board the plane and also when u arrive at immigrations in the UK

I think Divine88 failed to show up for the test because he said he spent 6 nights. The laboratory will send text messages to remind people who are to do the test on the 7th day of which he might not recieve it since he left already. On the 14th day they will forward his name to NCDC for him to face a penalty. So because he's no longer in Nigeria, he won't be there to face (maybe) suspension of travel or them including him on a travel watch list for 6 months and he won't be allowed foreign travel on this period. But then this is Nigeria we are talking about and everything is possible. Its one thing to enact a law but another thing to enforce same law.
Mr Man. You are so wrong. Am replying you as I don’t want your comments to mislead anyone.
First, I did another test in Nigeria 4 days after arriving.
Second, no one at departure ask you for any test, you are only ask for the UK public Health locator form which you need to fill before arriving the UK.
So for travellers to the UK, u only need to show you’ve fill, completed and print/show the UK public Health locator form

Thank you very much for your reply to my enquiry. One more question please, did you do the test here in Nigeria? Since you only spent 6 nights. If yes, how did you go about it since the protocol stipulates 7 days before test should be carried out. If No, how did you navigate through immigration on returning to board flight back tp the UK.Thanks in anticipation of your reply may God almighty bless you abundantly
Before flying to Nigeria, I did a test which I uploaded onto the Nigerian Port Health website. A QR code was generated. Mind you before the QR code is generated u need to pay 50400 Naira and also choose the date and laboratory where u want to do the test in Nigeria.
I know I wasn’t staying too long in Nigeria, I decided to do my test 2 days before am to leave Nigeria.
At the departure, no one asked u about the test, you are only asked about the UK public Health locator form which you are to fill before arriving in the UK.

Hello divine88, you said you flew into Nigeria last week and you are back to the UK. Please how many days did you spend in Nigeria. I want to travel to Nigeria and I want to spend 5 days only. From the NCDC /PTFguidelines inbound passengers have to spend 7 to 8 days. This is my concern please any information as regards this will.be appreciated. I sent a PM to you.
Hi, I only spent 6 nights. Truth be told, ignore the NCDC/PTF guidelines. No one is bothered.

A quick question mbok.......

For those traveling to Nigeria now......

- Is a covid clearance certificate required?
- Would a bug standard NHS test message suffice?
- Or must be privately done, with a covid19 proper certificate issued?
Currently in 9ja.
1. Covid test is required to board any airline going to Nigeria.
2. Yes, just scan both the NHS covid test receipt & the email you received from nhs.
3. Not necessary.

Additional information

4. U will need to pay 50,400 Naira online to receive the NPS QR code online as u need this to also present at the check in desk and also at immigrations
5. Be ready to wait at least 3 hours after landing at the Lagos airport
