At the beginning of the year, I had this idea of selling themes on Envato. It seemed like a nice way of making some cool passive income.

Paid a designer to design me a theme and I went to building. Building the theme was taking all of the time I had after work but i felt it was for a good course. A friend of mine had spent a year earlier on building a project to sell on Envato and after 3 months of review after he submitted the project got rejected. That got me to thinking damn. Even when I finish, after all the time investment this could get rejected. Aside that, I would need to do some marketing if the theme gets accepted to even make sales.

It felt like running a whole business from scratch and I completely wanted no part of that and scratched that idea and just focused on leetcode. I figured that at the point i was in my career, a year solving leetcode questions everyday would pay me much more than trying to put out digital products on Envato. My theme is unfinished buried somewhere in my hard drive

I stopped working with Nigerian Projects, the day I found myself shouting and cursing at the project owner. The lady just had an ego and hated Andela devs, I tried to tell her why the approach we were taking was wrong, this lady shut me down, until 3 weeks into development, the devs confirmed what I raised and it meant a rewrite and the lady said I should have convinced her properly. Omo I refunded their money and the sad part is it was 150k, then my salary was 10 times more, I just took it because I wanted to pay bills.

Nobody is going to build jack for you. They are all going to download a PHP forum script (most likely PHPBB) and install a theme on it for you. If you are even 10% technically savvy you can do that yourself
