Knowledge9000: Samsung Galaxy note 2...currently best phone in the world per consumer reviews...from actual owners. Battery half life is the best...can last for 3 days uncharged while still being used. Read online reviews on any phone site and it remains the best. I use a Samsung Galaxy note 2 GT-N7100 it houses my Airtel line. ... my Nokia 603 is my "Nokia torch", my MTN is stuck in there......Sony Xperia Z is my Glo with pride phone. I sleep with all three of my beauties on my bed. |

Religion / God Is Partial by djkaneo(m): 1:30pm On Aug 25, 2013 |
God is not partial u say?.......how then do u explain d case of David, Uriah n Bathsheba (hope I got d names right)......he slept with her and murdered her husband and what did God do to HIM(David himself, not his generations till d end of time)? Lemme tell u....God did nothing. David counted d Israelites and God started killing them he didn't touch David....WTF.... But somewia in d bible during d time of David, God struck down a man called Uzzah...and what was his great evil that warranted d Almighty killing Uzzah himself? He wanted to steady d ark of God!!! Uzzah went against God's injunction right......but let's not forget that David did worse.....he ate d Showbread meant for Priests alone and even gave some to his friends and God smiled and said "this is a man after my heart" so many instances abound in d bible....make una go do una own research like the Bereans and stop being Sunday Sunday medicine Zombie Christians.....Even d bible says "my people perish for lack of knowledge". |
Religion / Women Can Wear Trousers To Church. by djkaneo(m): 1:03pm On Aug 25, 2013 |
Personally I think women who wear trousers to Church are right. Feminine trousers are quite different from the type we men wear. And from what we know during Biblical times, Everybody wore "gowns"(atleast Jesus and his disciples did) and I guess even then, the men covered their heads as well when in the Synagogue, Sanhendrin, Temple, e.t.c. Bikokwa unu egbula m egbu....O bu kwa enwegi aka oru dubara m n'echiche di otu a. |

Health / Indian Three-month-old Spontaneously Combusts by djkaneo(m): 6:54am On Aug 13, 2013 |
A three-month-old Indian baby has been repeatedly catching fire because of a rare medical condition known as Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC). Named Rahul, the baby boy first caught fire when he was nine days old. His mother, Rajeshwari, rushed him to hospital in disbelief, after watching her son burst into flames without any source of combustion in the vicinity. The baby has caught fire four times since birth and is receiving treatment for burn injuries at the Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) Hospital in the southern city of Chennai. He was admitted to the hospital with the most recent burn injuries on 8 August. Doctors say Rahul's condition could be the result of combustible gases emitted from the skin's pores. "The body burns spontaneously due to combustible gases emitting from the patient's body, without any external source of ignition. Clothes and other things nearby that are inflammable may also catch fire," Dr R Narayana Babu, head of the paediatrics department at KMC, explained . There is no complete explanation for SHC but some 200 such cases have been reported over the last three centuries. There is not cure, except continuous treatment for the burns, according to Dr Jayaraman, the former head of the burns unit at KMC. "20 years ago, we saw a similar case - of a 23-year-old man - but it went undocumented. Several theories of SHC do the rounds but they are vague and not backed by scientific proof. There is no special cure... it can be treated like a regular burn injury," he told The Times of India. For now, doctors say they can only ensure the baby stays away from inflammable substances such as matchsticks, silks, kerosene oil, etc, and also stays in controlled temperatures. "An episode may or may not recur. It's like any other burn injury, with the likelihood of scars and secondary infections. Plastic surgery is also expected," Dr Babu concluded. http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/498108/20130810/spontaneous-human-combustion-indian-baby-fire-chennai.htm |

Nairaland / General / Just Thinking Out Loud. by djkaneo(m): 5:52am On Jul 31, 2013 |
In the light of recent developments, I feel compelled to make this offering. Homosexuals have found voice. They have made it clear they are here to stay. Everywhere war drumbeats can be heard. The war formations on each side have the strangest and unlikeliest of bedfellows- for the first time in a while, Christians, Muslims and even atheists have rallied round the same banner which effectively reads 'God made Adam for Eve, not Steve'. The gay ranks seem just as eclectic and accomodating, and everyone seems set for the final showdown. Now while it is easy to assume moral highground, I see the need to keep things in proper perspective. Homosexuality, like every other trait/vice has been around a long time. The first biblical account dates back to Lot, a time when mankind wasn't quite a thousand years old, by biblical reckoning. There is the (unsavoury) remark made about the by apostle Paul, which tells us they thrived in the Roman Empire. Before that even, there is documented evidence Alexander the Great was gay. And the list could go ever on and on. At the time I didn't quite velieve homosexuality was real. I wondered (and still do) what a man would exchange for the tender giggling of a woman, heart flutter brought on by a gaze into a beautiful face, a woman's juicy breasts, rounded hips, perfectly designed 'microwave' for his 'sausage roll'.... What could a man possibly leave all that for? A fellow stubble- bearded man?? I didn't believe until I had a close shave during my undergraduate days. I am no homophobe. I must admit I've come to hold gays in some dread because I find their idea of sex absolutely revulsing! Having said that, I think we ought to be reasonable with them, so long as the remain reasonable with us. And they mostly are. There exist gay clubs where gays may socialize, so we don't hear a lot about men raping men. I do not feel they should be criminalized. What they do doesn't harm anyone. Those who actually harm us roam free. I mean, when someone steals pension funds ('I only stole N23b') and brokers a N750,000 plea bargain, then ideally both the thief, his lawyer, and the presiding judge should be placed in a straight line and dispatched with a single shot between the eyes. Until that happens, it would be unfair to punish homosexuals. It would simply amount to a waste of judicial time. They will remain with us whatever we do anyway, same way they survived through the ages. Scriptures say 'these things should not even be mentioned amongst you'. It is the writer's view that they may be allowed to marry. They may not, however, be allowed to adopt children. That would infringe on the rights of the child to a father and a mother. Now, there may come a day when conception becomes possible independent of 'natural' stipulations. But until that day, homosexuals may have to remain content with mutual pleasure and company. We do not presume to fight God's battles- He cleans up His mess when He's ready. And that would include mean people who get rigged into power, empty the common tills, and have the audacity to proclaim to an accomodating church that 'all constituted authority comes from above'. Thank you for your time. I apologize if I have been offensive. I was just thinking aloud. |
Phone/Internet Market / My Simple Request To MTN by djkaneo(m): 9:07am On Feb 19, 2013 |
MTN Nigeria you guys should make it possible for Nigerians to purchase mobile gadgets from your outlets at discounted rates on contract......That is the way it is done in the U S of A.....there, phones are bought on 2yrs contract with any of the network providers.....why can't same be done here? We have been forced to register for National Identity cards. We have also been bullied, till we acquiesced NCC's request and registered our lines..... What good are all these, if they can not be properly utilized in whatever verification needed to make things like my humble request happen? |
