Hi, please I noticed that the reference number on Vetassess ends with two letters in bracket, (eg) after the number. I want to know if these two letters in bracket are part of the reference number. For example, ref number: 12TS834318 (eb), I want to know if the (eb) is part of the ref number.
Thanks.

I omitted the letters in parenthesis in my application, though still waiting for grant, I believe it's the correct way.

In my case, I omitted the letters in bracket, although still expecting grant, I guess that's the right thing to do.

It's a lot to type but you can do your independent research.
In summary, the case officer will look at the whole years claimed (including that cut off by any assessing body). As long as you are doing the roles described in the occupation list and you have supporting documents, you will be deemed skilled in the eyes of DHA.

Please let's be careful, someone just got a straight refusal from a telegraph group without an s57, just because he he claimed years deducted by ACS. Let's not waste opportunity by been daring and be like super eagles, resulting to luck and prayer when we can just do the right and simple thing.

Hello gurus,

Please forgive my ignorance.
When an accessing body deducts 4 years from a 7 years experience, does this mean you have to fill 3 years in your skills calculator or the deduction is just for the skills assessment? Make person no make mistake chop ban

After deduction you can only claim experience for years deemed skilled, which should be years left after deduction. In you own case 3 years

It is not about dexterity in this packages, can he get reference letter indicating that he does that as part of his duty at work? If yes, you are good to go. Remember to attach screen grab of drawings and pictures taking from site and anything that will prove your case. Best of luck.
And one more thing for everyone, attach your highest qualification even if you are not assessing for level 1 occupation.
My occupation was level 2, I attached my ND, HND and masters, vettasess recognised my masters, and I was able to claim 15 points for education.

Hi everyone, please how will someone with HND in civil engineering with more than 8 years working experience be accessed in Australia. I would really appreciate your reply.

You can either access as a technologist with EA or if you have drafting experience with autocad, you can be assessed as civil engineering draftsperson. Your HND will be assessed as advanced diploma (10 points). I went through VETASSESS as a civil draftsperson with HND and ND. They will deduct 1 year from your experience as qualifying year.

Crime / Re: Bolanle Raheem: Officer Drambi Vandi in Court As He Is Charged For Murder by DJMJ(m): 2:30pm On Dec 30, 2022
Nigerian justice system is warped, the charge should not be murder, its not premeditated, it will be impossible to prove that, the defence will claim its accidental discharge. And that's manslaughter. They may bungle this case.

O boy, 22 years now and counting, except oil company, the best you can get is 50k entry level.
10 years experience don't get beyond 250-350k in very good company, otherwise 150 best.
Good luck.
Nothing like 700k o

Hello people,

Please I need more info on this migration scheme for semi skilled workers in Australia called “AgMove”. Is it legit and how safe is it??

Regarding this, You will have to be an Australian citizen, a temporary visa holder,a student with work right or on a working holiday visa.
For the working holiday visa, there are selected countries that can apply, unfortunately, no country in Africa, Nigeria inclusive is eligible.
So sorry it may not be possible.
Check this link https://www.dese.gov.au/harvest-trail/agmove

Good day good people.
I'm a mining Engineer but when I checked the description of the job it dsnt fit what I currently do, what fits is a "Mines deputy"
And the skills level is level 2 (what does skills level imply) do I still go for mining Engineer as it sounds more prestigious

The goal is to get in, not how, when you get there, you can work at any level you are qualified to.
And also, level 2 occupation are less competitive as 0&1, unless you are sure of scoring 90+
Assess for role that closely matches your role, what is the purpose if you can't get a + assessment, then your mission is dead on arrival.
Leave the Naija mentality

Yes, I think so, I submitted everything, even my master's, and I got positive result. Master's assessed as master's, HND advanced Diploma

Good Afternoon my people,
Can I use ordinary national diploma certificate or transcript for my educational evidence since TRA is asking for minimum of diploma

As regard OND, VETASSESS assess it as certificate IV, while HND as advanced diploma, based on my own outcome. So OND will not pass as AQF diploma.

well said @Knight1. However @DJMJ your tax receipt(s) is/are sufficient enough. It shows your name and the fact that tax is paid. You can back this up with a statement explaining that by virtue of your employment, you are assessed on PIT (personal Income tax basis - direct assessment) not PAYE (pay-as-you-earn).

For PIT (direct assessment) you are assessed annually - which should tally with the kind of receipt you have.

All the Best!
Thanks a lot, now my mind is at rest, I can now move on with my assessment

Please good evening, I have a quick question.
I have been working with a friend for years now, pay has not been regular, I get paid per project executed, although he is ready to generate pay slip and reference letter for me, and I as a person, I pay my tax by myself every two years from around 2013 and I have tax receipt.
My question is, can I use this tax I paid on self assessment for proof, being that I asked my friend and he said he doesn't do PAYE for his staff. Can I get tax clearance on this.

Thanks.
Accounting is a long thing for Australia, Canada is best option. But if you can get like 110 why not, may be something can crop up

I am interested in knowing why you are choosing draftsperson over engineer for civil. The draftsperson occupation is sponsored by only NT prior to the end of last financial/migration year while civil engineering had few states sponsoring it.
I learnt it is easier to get invitation by downgrading and if you use occupation that is not highly competitive.
Furthermore, I want to evade engineer Australia assessment, that CDR, I learnt no be beans.
And again I have HND and then a master from UK, so am not so sure about the accord I fall into, from what I checked online I still falls under Washington accord, but just want don't want to take chances.

thanks Sir! I appreciate your reply. I can't live in Canada, from what I heard it's too cold and I have a health challenge which makes me allergic to cold, cough asthma to be exact.

Please Sir what can I do to make the mark for Aussie?
From my little knowledge, asthma is mostly triggered by dust, of which we have in abundance, while it's not so over there.
Cold shouldn't be a problem for asthmatic patient.
I was told a guy susceptible to asthma and had lived in Canada for years without an attack, only to visit Nigeria and had an attack days after landing.
So asthma shouldn't stop you, try and get out of this place as soon as you can.
I wish I knew this when I was your age ...

Hi DJMJ

From Experience, what you should do is, in your CV, introduce what exactly a civil engineer does in this side of the world - which is equivalent to the roles/responsibilities of a draughts person in some other climes. You can also include a statement, explaining in details that a draughts person is also known as a civil engineer in Nigeria (like a background to the civil engineering career path/track in Nigeria).

All the Best!
Thanks

Good morning elders in the house.
Please I studied and practiced as a civil engineer, but I want to access as a civil engineering draughtsperson, the job description matches what I do and civil engineering is accepted as a qualification.
My question is my reference letter will state employed as a civil engineer but all the job description of a draughtsperson is part of my job description just that I do more than that.
I hope that won't give me an issue with VETASSES
Please any one that had done this process before, please advice.
