thoth: For me alone Nigerians really need to suffer before the break up, because i know even the common man on the street does not want to learn anything about his government, his history, nor his future.
You can give him all the analysis and evidence you have and make strategic plans with him then at the end of the day he tells you that his pastor said..... his chief said..... his Ifa said..... his Imam said ….....

You can show him evidence and give him examples to think for HIMSELF and then he will tell you that CNN said....BBC said... AL Jazeera said...... followed by a question that goes like “ Do you know more than BBC/CNN ?”

His leaders are corrupt, inept and stinks of inferiority complex that make them do the most silly things unimaginable yet when you point out such things the next man beside you will ask you which tribe you are from and his evaluation of points you have made will be based on whether you are the same tribe with the leader or you have the same religion with the leader in question.

What's a better solution than to have these people really suffer and steal as much as you can in the process ?
well thought..

Those prophecies just make me laugh. These so called MOGs will just be playing on the intelligence of gullible masses and 'who-can-not-think' churchgoers.
All those things are what any sane person can accurately predict.
Who doesn't know major breakthroughs are made in science and medicine almost every year, and natural disasters are getting rampant?
Shebi Jesus was sure of himself and If he's so sure, let him be specific and name names...
Btw, what kinda prophecies aint for public consumption??

Religion / Why Are Pagan Beliefs Dismissed? by DKJaleel: 1:46pm On Dec 29, 2013
i've been wondering of late why pagan beliefs are dismissed or unaccepted in our society (which ironically, it's our default way of life). I think a pantheon of Gods makes much more sense logically and could be easier to use for explaining the state of the world.
When you have a pantheon, you get lots of little gods, all responsible for their specialist areas, take the Yoruba belief for instance. Gods in a pantheon don't have to be omnipotent or omni-anything. Gods in a pantheon have natural limits, and with different characteristics - good and bad gods, lazy gods, greedy gods, etc.. unlike the monotheistic
deities that have to be omni-omni.

when you only have one god, he has to be responsible for EVERYTHING. He has to create the universe, worry about our
morals, provide a pleasing place to go after we die, but worst of all he has to be responsible for bad things (which some dont accept) as well as good things, and you end up with the 'problem of evil'.
It is hard to make a monotheist god logically consistent, e.g can he make a stone he can't lift? Or physical elements he cant control?

Modern day monotheists usually scoff at how ridiculous pagan beliefs are compared to theirs, but I can't understand why.
Any theist or pagan want to weigh in?

Religion / Re: Your Pick: The Truth Or The Bible?? by DKJaleel: 6:08pm On Dec 27, 2013
As I've said before, the only way to know the TRUTH, is to ask ALL the tough questions. That is something religious people fear
doing, for a couple of reasons:
Religion instills FEAR into people to NEVER QUESTION ANYTHING about it's religion.
and
Because they know the answers to those questions will disprove many, if not ALL of
their longstanding beliefs. So they just blindly follow, mostly because of that fear and the tradition.

Just think, if there is a God, and I said IF, don't you think he/she/it would want us to ask all the tough questions to find the Truth
and filter out all of the false gods that are out there??

Instead of just believing in some
religion because it's the one you grew up with??
Even if your religion is the True religion, wouldn't asking all those tough questions just PROVE that your God is the Real one?
Why then are ALL religions so afraid of those questions, and don't want anyone questioning their beliefs??
What are they afraid of? The Truth??
Ultimately, you have to choose ONE. I chose TRUTH. You can't say god is the truth. I chose the Truth.

What do you choose?
Religion / Re: Your Pick: The Truth Or The Bible?? by DKJaleel: 6:01pm On Dec 27, 2013
At the end of the day you've got to ask yourself, what do you really want to believe in more, the TRUTH or the bible version of God?
If you pick the TRUTH, then you will ask all the tough questions about your religion, or your way of life without the fear of disproving anything.
If you choose God, then what you are really saying is that no matter how much of your religion or way of life is dis-proven, you don't care.
You will just continue to believe blindly..
I asked all the right and tough questions. I asked Jesus to tell me if I should believe in the Bible and in him. I got nothing. I wanted to believe in God.
Then i discovered that It's tough to ask those questions because the only reasons people still believe in that is their religion brainwashes people
and instills FEAR into them. If they open their eyes and read the bible with an open mind, instead of a brainwashed one, they would see that their religion, or their so called way of life is BOGUS!!
Religion / Your Pick: The Truth Or The Bible?? by DKJaleel: 5:51pm On Dec 27, 2013
I just thought, how will a grown and educated human claim to have read the bible [with a neutral mindset] and still believe it is true??
The best thing i did was reading the bible. Why?? Cos it opened my eyes to so many things and most importantly, the TRUTH. It's full of God's Hate,Jealousy, and Hypocrisy! I was told that the Bible was real and that God loved
me, but with my own eyes, i read the OPPOSITE in the Bible!
Then I had to ask myself one question, do I want to believe in the TRUTH or do I want to believe in Bible version of 'God'?? I chose TRUTH...

if u spit on the ground and someone else steps on it, you will have sore throat..
If u eat the eyes of a fish, u will become dumb in your studies..
If you want a girl to love you, write her name on a piece of paper, burn it and rub d ashes on your forehead..*works like magic*..
Kill a red-headed lizard, cut d head off and put a coin in its mouth, bury it and after seven days, it will have turned to some bills of money..
If you get in trouble with ur teacher and he/she goes out to get a cain, quickly remove seven strands of ur hair and three of ur eyelashes, wrap it in a piece of paper and put it by d doorstep. If d teacher steps on it, he will forget about beating you..
If ur tooth should 'remove', count seven stones with it and throw it on a roof. But if a lizard spots u and goes to swallow ur tooth, it wont regrow again...

Religion / Atheists, Work With Us For Peace, Pope Says On Christmas by DKJaleel: 2:25pm On Dec 25, 2013
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Pope Francis,
celebrating his first Christmas as Roman
Catholic leader, on Wednesday called on
atheists to unite with believers of all religions and work for "a homemade peace"
that can spread across the world.
Speaking to about 70,000 people from the
central balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, the
same spot where he emerged to the world as pope when he was elected on March 13,
Francis also made another appeal for the
environment to be saved from "human greed and rapacity".
The leader of the 1.2 billion-member Church wove his first "Urbi et Orbi" (to the city and world) message around the theme of peace.
"Peace is a daily commitment. It is a homemade peace," he said. He said that people of other religions were also praying for peace, and - departing from his prepared text - he urged atheists to join
forces with believers.
"I invite even non-believers to desire peace. (Join us) with your desire, a desire that widens the heart. Let us all unite, either with prayer or with desire, but everyone, for peace," he said, drawing sustained applause from the crowd.
Francis's reaching out to atheists and people of other religions is a marked contrast to the attitude of former Pope Benedict, who sometimes left non-Catholics feeling that he saw them as second-class believers.

Religion / Re: Is Abortion Wrong In Cases Of Rape, Incest Or When The Mother's Life Is At Risk? by DKJaleel: 10:34am On Dec 25, 2013
OLAADEGBU: GWG said: "Is abortion wrong in cases of rape, incest or when it threatens the mother's life?"

Response:

It's wrong to kill the baby for the crime of the father. If the mother's life is in danger, the standard procedure is to have a cesarean and save the lives of both the mother and child. Not to kill the baby. Incest is against the law, so again, you shouldn't kill the baby for the crime of the father.
i guess that's why its right to then push the sin of the father to the innocent baby...btw, what about infants and pregnant women your 'God' murdered in the bible for d sins of their fathers??

Jesus was reffering to his disciples above ^^^. They did die without witnessing his second coming

1. Does it mean our Lord Jesus is a Liar?

2. Could he be reffering to another 2nd coming?

I've been doing a biblical research on this topic for a week now without any satisfactory answers.

I need scriptural based clarifications please.
