We can discuss anything about satellite tv smart card here. Any information on smartcard for DSTV, HITV, MYTV, Aljazeera sports, ADMC, Sky tv etc are welcome here.

@ Pidzo, where have you been? Is it well with you? I have not seen your post here for some days now. I hope all is well with you.

@ Obnelly, well done bro, you did a wonderful work. I suggest that you check the focal length of that dish for maximum out put. With the picture of the dish you posted here I can see that the focal length is taller than what it suppose to be. Just my own observation. Thanks

@ Obnelly, you did a wonderful work. Thumb up. We are very proud of you. This art takes time and money. It is only those who have been into resarch that will understand what I meant. @ Sophieamore1, you took a very big step by coming back. It is only a courageous man that can stoop low and do what you did now. Welcome back.

Brite02: @all Plz advice,
my neighbours just had an emergency meeting concerning my dishes, according to the meeting, it was said that an army man, asked & enquire about the dish & its owner then ended by saying that i am using it to tap into people's channels that what am doing is illegal (meanwhile i didn't meet this soldier) that people who distribute/beam this various channels spent millions to air it, while me am just watching it free. No be small tin oh the man self wanted to come and arrest me oh. Meanwhile, i was nt around, in the emergency meeting they were asking me to dismantle my dishes 60cm,80cm,90cm(on the roof) and 1.8m on the ground to avoid unforeseen and unexpected wahala.. But me i no agree, i tried explaining to them that am nt watching paid channels rather F.T.A channels and that it is legal but am thinking about dismantling my 1.8m dish because is drawing too much attention since am staying in a school compound where people, footballers come to play their game, hence the army man case, plz advice

@ Brite02, you know, people can be funny this days. A man once said something like that to me when he saw my three lnbf on my single 90cm dish. He said that I'm tapping what was meant for the white men to view and not for the public, can you imagine the level of illiteracy people are parading with. I will advice you to go with an elderly man and see the soldier man. Try and convince the soldier man that what you are using is free to air. Try and make him see that anybody can enjoy the free to air at no cost for subscription. You should not be afraid to meet him but be bold and ready to educate him on what he should know about free to air. It is the ability you have to communicate with him that will convince the man that what you are doing is not illegal. Fear will only make you to surrender and then you will dismantle your dish. Don't be supprise that it is your neighbour(s) who must have contacted the soldier man to intimidate you. Remember to approach him like your brother and talk to him in a gentle manner but still be bold and never fear the uniform, they are human being like you. For you to achieve this only depend on your ability of your communication.

Farwee: Am sorry if am posting into a wrong thread but i belief i will surely get an authentic info on anytin sat here, did anybody have info on why DSTV is sending message of Smartcard upgrade dt they say it will xpire on 31st March? Urgent plssssssssss.

You know this people is unpredictable. Maybe they want to improve the security makeup of the smartcard.

phizz: House, is it my dish or general problem, cos my arradiya, aoula, aflam and 2m on AB7 aren't showing again
Please clarify.

It is a general problem.

@ Jibrill 7, PSK is defined as phase shift key. It is a digital phase that modulate algorithm or rather it is a frequency modulation where the phase of the carrier wave is modulated to encode bits of digital information in each phase change. 8PSK refers to PSK with 8 states and with 8 states you already have QPSK (Quadrature phase shift key) Remember that each PSK is usually with the number of constellation points being a power of two (binary). In summary 8PSK is the same as QPSK and this is a technique used to transmit data by changing the phase of a reference signal mostly commonly for transmitting video and audio via satellie tv carrier wave especially on mpeg2 and 4 format. Just like AM (Amplitude Modulation) which is a technique used in electronic communication mostly commonly for transmitting information via a radio carrier wave, thank you.

@ Pidzo, thanks for your elaborate explanation.

@ Bug1234, you are trying to create a scene here. Check my profile, I have never mocked anyone on this forum and I will never mock anyone here despite the situation. Bro, like I said earlier that you should not feel insulted please!

Wow! This is incredible!! Ojigbijigbijigbi!!! Mr Bug1234, how can you say a thing like this? We never made you to look like a fool but it is the responsibility of every member of this satellite technology nairaland to make this thread to look tidy. It is not good to sit back and watch this thread depreciate. We have newbie thread where they can put up simple and answered repeated questions. If you have read official free to air satellite tv thread from part 1 - 4, you will find out that all this simple and answered repeated question are few to compare to what we have here now. Everybody is free to put up his/her question here but it should be reasonable question. Please don't feel insulted bro.

Pidzo: When I started reading this post my blood pressure started rising till I finished. I then check the poster and lo it was you!!!

@ Pidzo, these days some people never want to read. Some hide under the umbrella of a newbie and ask some irrelevant questions hoping to get reply urgently even though that the question they are asking have been answered severally. Before I joinned this honourable house, I did a lot of reading here and it helped me a lot. We have a google column where one can google the answer to their problem but they wouldn't use it, can you imagine that bro?

@ All, I am a newbie here. Can someone give me tp to track MultiTv. I don't want to google it here neither do I want to read anything here, even I don't want to check lyngsat or flysat. I just want the house to answer me and post the tp because it is urgent pleassssssee.

@ All, the CEO of NigComsat-1R Timasaniyu-Rufai have promised that NigComsat-1R will begin commercial operations on 19th of this month which is next week monday.

Ojigbijigbijigbijigbi !!! The old look is far better than the new look. I'm just saying my mind.

@ Kungu, thanks for the update. You really did some nice work.

miju:
@ALL no one is talking about nigcomsat any more. from what i learnt it ought to have started broadcasting last month but up till now no news. has it fallen out of the outer space again?

@ miju, its so sad and dissappointing that the management of Nigcomsat-1r have failled the Nigerians and the whole of Africa. The satellite suppose to be operational at the first week of february. I saw their jingle last five days ago on national network news and I listend to hear when Nigcomsat will be operational but they never mentioned it. Could it be that Digital Sole Thieves bribed them to delay their operation or what? Anything is possible in 9ja. Even if they did, the Arabs have come to rescues us from the hand of the Digital Sole Thieve

sokopion:
boss i don't think we are on break but those to heat here are busy or kept there invention
you could see recently how some gurus post some of their invention and this forum close page every day.

Hey bro, we were really on break at the time I made that posting and that we were on break does n't mean that we were not active but we were on break to refresh our brain and regain energy for further resarch and invention. You know, work without play makes Jack a dull boy. I hope got my gist bro.

@ auchs, did you see the mail I sent to you?

@ All, I know that we're on break and I just wanna wish everybody happy break time .

Sweetsudan:
Hi gurus pls i really want to hunt ds AB 7 west but i want to know d type of lnb to use either k or c band pls help

@ Sweetsudan, you need ku lnbf to track AB7. If you're from Sudan then you will need like 1m to recieve everything there including all the channels from nilesat but you are not going to receive channels meant for NWA beam on AB7 with that size of dish.

@ auchs, I sent you mail.

@ lovala, the Arabs don't normally encrypt their channels except some of their sports channels. AB7 is meant to have 54 trasponders but about 44 of it are active for now. Lets hope that about 5 more trasponders will be added for NWA beam and if so we will be happy about that.

For sure we should be especting other exciting channels to migrate to NWA beam but they are not going to be in large number the way the are ME NA beam. We ought not to be afraid, they are not going to waste the trasponders meant for NWA beam for anybody and they are not going to encrypt any channel meant to be FTA simple because of Digital Sole thieves. We should be happy that they have come to liberate us from the hand of Digital Sole Thieves just the way they liberated their brothers from Middle East from hand of DSThieves.
