aro seyi: plz wht type of dish can we usd to track dis beam ku or cband? And if its kuband, can 90m dish bring the bird down thks.

@ aro seyi, anything from 65cm dish can track it but mind you that there are few fta channels there but if you have a 90cm dish, then you can use it to track three different satellite. Track MultiTv with your primary lnbf then followed by Intelsat Newdawn and lastly eutelsat 36 (w4/7). Intelsat Newdawn should be at the middle of MultiTv and DSTv.

@ All, ITV Nigeria is now on full time operation on Intelsat Newdawn at 33 degress east with 11014 H 30000 as its transponder.

Are you using Mpeg4 reciever? You know, they are transmitting via Mpeg4. If you are using using Mpeg4 reciever then try and rescan your reciever.

@ Moderator, please, kindly do something about this PM issue. It will really going to help us a lot on this forum. As some satellites are about to be lunched which will be beaming on west Africa, I urge you all to enter fourty days fasting and prayers so that they doesn't go the way of the old satellite that are giving us uninterested FTA channels. During that fasting period, nobody is allow to eat, drink, smoke and snuff, unu anugokwa! (do you hear me! )

Mbc on w3a is at the left side of Multitv if you are facing your dish and your back facing East. You can use 12728 H 30000 and again, I advice you to read ''Ask question about W3a on 7 degrees East thread'', it will really help you for some tutorials. That bird in some area is very trickish and that is why I am referring you to that thread.

dolpaz: Pls i only watched the first match..and i dont want to risk loosing oda matches..please i have a 90cm dish and i reside in sango ota.i have a srt 4669xii decoder as well..though i am using astra2b(Joytv) but willing to span my viewing experience..can the gurus in the house give me guideline how to get started?? i wish to track MBC (w3a) myself...any help will be appreciated !!!

@ dolpaz, with that your 90cm facing Multitv, you can still recieve eutelsat 36, w3c and Amos 5 at 17 degrees east and enjoy more free to air channels.

You need a contact in dubai to load your card.get their phone no and call they should be ready to assist you.i did that years back and the lady fix my card.its off footprint I guess that is why they sent that mail.reply hom that you have big dish and you are receiving their signal load and clear.

Replying them that he's recieving their signal from off footprint via big dish wouldn't yield any positive result. As long as he is not from one of those countries they mentioned above, he is not gonna get renewal of his subscription except if he has someone that is using the ip of one of those countrie they mentioned earlier.

@ Odilibe, you claimmed that DSTV have never been on Middle East/North Africa. I can see that you have forgotten that they once operated on C band and was beaming up to Asia. Even at that time, their biss keys was seen everywhere on the net and as at that time, they were operating with seventeen video channels (around 1992) and later increased the numbers channels on their bouquet. On 28th April 1998, Egyptian Nilesat 101 was lunched and became operational on 31st may 1998. Then in 2008 Nilesat 101 was having 415 channels and 300 of them were free to air and by that time, DSTV started loosing ground at North Africa. On 31st may 2010, they (DSTV) stop operating on C band at 68.5 degrees East. Today, they are only beamming on Sub-sahara milking our people dry. You also claimmed that DSTV have a better bouquet than Skytv, well, that might be for you.

70% of NPF are illitrate. Most of them didn't attend secondary school yet they want to earn like people with master degree. Nigerian government should reform NPF.

These are the channels that suppose to be beaming on NigComSat-1R but they are not because of inability of NigComSat-1R to be operational. Even their name have been removed from lyngsat list some days ago.

Why all these agitation? Is like we have lost focus huh! Well, I can see that alot of us want to show that he is experience simple because we have learnt how to track different satellites and we are now talking to ourselves as if we're supperior to others. Days have gone when experience satellite installers are being celebrated. Other satellite forum have gone beyond this, they are busy writing different satellite softwares for their use and we are here indirectly boasting to ourselves. Have anyone us here written any simple satellite sofware? No of course. Lets forge ahead and stop being myopic. Thank you.

You're correct bro, I know for sure that one day, the bondage that is weighing our people down which is ignorant gonna be broken and our people will be free.

@ All, we all know that watching of paytv without right subscription is illegal but we ought to know that selling of FTA channels to our people is also illegal too. All the news channels, religious channels and some documentries that Digital Sole Thieves are selling to our people are 100% FTA. Check other Satellite TV providers in other part of the continent, you will see that they have a lot of enticing FTA channels. Take for example, Skytv, they have not less than 200 nice free to view channels and by this they have given back to the society who are subscribing to them. Check Nilesat from the Arabians, they also got a lot of nice free to view channels. Digital Sole Thieves have not given anything back to the society rather they have milked our people's pocket dry but the problem is that we are ignorant of what they are doing to us and that is why we see our people falling for them. They're too lucky that they are dealing with ignorant sub-sahara Africans. With the way they are treating our people, they would have been dead long time ago if it have been in other part of the continent. If other satellitetv providers are behaving like them, do we think that there will be FTA channels for us to view? How I wish I could communicate with the CEO of Digital Sole Thieves, I would have let him know that they have only taken from the society without giving back to the society.

Most of our corrupted leaders are being celebrated by Nigerians and this makes me sick. Can anybody share with us the reason why this is happening to us because I have tried to figure it out but could not. Could it be illitracy, power drunk, selfishness, tribalism or what that have caused this?

Wonders shall never end in this countary. Naija is a countary where corrupt leaders are being celebrated. None of the trasponders on NigComSat-1R is active now, yet they are planning of lunching another two satellites. They are looking for another avenue to embezzle another money. Who are they decieving? After embezzling the money that was budgeted to lunch, commercialise and maintain NigComSat-1R they came back and told us that the money they recieved was meant for lunching of the first sat. These people doesn't have money to commercialise the first sat and yet they have money to lunch another two satellite. Their work will surely find them one day.

@ Pofolo, how much does it cost to swap the DSTV smartcard with the reciever. Again, what if one doesn't have their old reciever but have only their smartcard, can they swap only the smart card?
