It depends on personal preference bruv... If u are looking for a phone to watch movies on, browse on a wider screen, and some other stuffs, then go for the GS3. But, if u want a classy phone, compact, sleek, easy to use, then go for the iPhone 5. Meanwhile, Android is highly customizable, and that gives it an edge over iOS. But, a jailbroken iOS device can kill even a rooted Android anyday. If u wanna talk about features... Both have good features and high processing powers. The GS3 bosts of a quad-core Exynos chip with a processing power of about 1.3ghz per core(thats for the international version). While the iPhone 5 bosts of a Dual-core A6 chip running at 1.2ghz. But in reality, the iPhone 5 is faster both in benchmarks, browsing speed, graphics rendering and the likes despite being lower in terms of processor power as compared to the GS3. Well, thats owing to the A6 chip. Talking about the cameras, both devices have 8MP rear cameras. What makes the difference thereof is the OS. In Android, pictures are well colour-saturated while they are more natural with iOS. Some like Android's camera because they have richer colours, while others despise them cause they feel it doesn't feel natural like iOS. One other thing that is worth mentioning is the fact that, iPhone 5 is far more stable than the GS3. The GS3 crashes more often than its rival... The GS3 has easy to replace battery while iPhones dont give such easy access. But then, the GS3 is made from cheap plastics while the iPhone 5 is a masterpiece when we wanna talk about hardware engineering. Generally, the GS3 is a monster especially with JB, but even at that, the iPhone 5 is better... The choice is yours... Apps-wise, apple is better plus when jailbroken, you don't have to buy apps anymore... Ciáo |
Its okay by me... I believe everyone is entitled to mingle with whomever they choose. But, I cant do it myself as its against my policy. |

TECHNICAL PORTING PROCEDURE Forget the technical label, it’s pretty simple what goes on behind the curtains when you port your number from one provider to another. The basics again… Donor – The current Mobile Service Provider the subscriber is moving away from. Recipient – The preferred Mobile Service Provider the subscriber is moving to. The porting process is summarised into the following steps: A. PRE-ORDER PROCESS: 1. Customer visits preferred operator’s (recipient) retail shop to request porting service. 2. Recipient discusses MNP process & implications with Customer. 3. Customer agrees to initiate porting process or not. If yes, 4. Customer presents valid proof of identification, provides requested ID information. 5. Recipient operator verifies customer ID. 6. Customer fills out and signs Porting Request Form. 7. Recipient operator checks porting form compiles Porting Approval Request and forwards it to the Central order handling system. 8. Customer Sends Validation SMS. This is basically all what you as a customer sees front-end and all you are interested in, maybe. But why have a doughnut and not get to the crux of the matter- the jelly. Read on, it gets a little more interesting B. INITIAL CENTRAL ORDER HANDLING SYSTEM ORDER VALIDATION Central order handling system receives and matches the porting approval request with customer authorisation SMS and checks that the: 1. The number is a valid number within the Nigerian numbering plan. 2. The number belongs to the donor operator specified in the porting approval request. 3. The number is not already subject to a porting request. 4. The number has not been ported within the last 90 days. 5. Customer validation checks have been confirmed by the recipient operator. The porting approval request is rejected if two or more of the initial validation checks fail. The central order handling system then submits a check to the Subscriber Information database to confirm whether the number being ported has been registered or not. If no, the central order handling system will reject the porting approval request. If yes, the central order handling system will send a positive porting order validation response to the recipient operator, advise the customer by SMS that their porting request has been received and pass the porting approval request to the donor operator for review and approval. C. DONOR ORDER VALIDATION: 1. Donor operator checks whether the number(s) to be ported is/are active and have not been reported stolen or lost. 2. The donor operator will accept or reject the porting approval request based on (i) above. 3. The donor operator informs the central order handling house of the acceptance or rejection of the port approval request by the sending of a positive porting approval response. D. PORTING PROVISIONING: 1. The central order handling system allocates next available porting date on receipt of porting approval response. 2. Forwards the porting approval response to the recipient operator. 3. The recipient operator activates the customer’s number on its network 4. The recipient operator sends a porting deactivation request to the central order handling system. 5. The central order handling system sends SMS- “Change SIM” to the customer advising the customer that their number is due to be ported and requesting the customer to swap the SIM card from the donor (old) mobile service provider with the SIM card from the recipient (new) mobile service provider, 6. The central order handling system sends broadcast message to all mobile service providers and other authorised parties requesting they update their own routing databases to route calls to the customer via the Recipient operator’s network. E. PORTING CLOSURE: 1. The Donor operator deactivates the customer from its network on receipt of the porting deactivation request. 2. The Donor operator sends a porting deactivation response to the central order handling system. 3. The central order handling system closes the porting transaction on the system, sends a porting update request message to the central 4. Subscriber Information database, to update records for ported number to show that it is now residing with the recipient operator. 5. The Subscriber Information database sends a porting update response message to the central order handling system confirming the subscriber information records of the ported number(s) have been updated. |

Cold blooded: dis portability issue is not dat clear to me yet.does dat mean dat if i opt in to an etisalat line from ma mtn,d 2 lines wil be workin fine on 1 sim, n wil stil be reacheable? wat of if i 've an existin data bundle on d mtn line b4 portin in to etisalat, wil dat stil work on d etislat line? somebody shuld fill me in cos i fink i'm shootin blanks here. thanxWhat so u mean; will the two lines be working fine? If u port from mtn to etisalat while retaining ur number, u no longer belong to mtn, u now belong to etisalat but with the same number. Got that? |
Harbosede02: the reason i said hez useless is dat he does tinz that are hurting,bt he wouldn't knw wat he did hurt me,and am tired of hearin hez sowi,he hardly calls,he text once in a blue moon,he doesn't av my time at all,so isn't he useless??The question now is... Why are u still with him My dear, you deserve someone better jare...If u think no one is forth-coming, try leaving him and see the magic how u would get someone that is far better of than him... Please do urself a favour and get urself another man. Okay? |
Harbosede02: u can't undastand!Make me understand please because you don't deserve to be in a relationship with someone you openly declare as useless and all... Hmm?? |
KINGwax: Will u wait up?Lolzz... |
beeveepee: Want to know what number portability is all about? Check this link..it doesn't seem to be as straight forward as it looks. It doesn't seem as difficult as u think... I think mode of porting varies from country to country, so dont assume we are going with the one that the new network would get in contact with the old before taking care of the necessaries. Thats a long and frustrating process. There are other modes that are way easier and faster than that... Although, we are yet to know the right one Nigeria opted out for... |
Balkan: Please I don't understand this porting can someone please explain to me. Am very sure most people commenting don't understand it eitherIts just a way of switching between networks while retaining your phone number. In other words, you can decide to switch ur Mtn number you have been using for ages to airtel or vice-versa without losing the number. And from all indications, seems its gonna take 3 months in-between switching. That is, you can switch just once in every 90days. Got it? |
