If Tinubu was performing, your bragging right would have been understandable.

Ain't you worried about Tinubu's continued failures?
emkz:
That was the basis of my exchanges with you since. That was the pillar upon which you attempted to undermine Tinubu.

It was worthwhile to remind you of your own fears.

Send me a private message let us cry together and mourn Obi's loss. You'd feel better.
Politics › Re: Landmark Demolition: I'm Glad I Left Nigeria - Tayo Aina by DMerciful(m): 3:15pm On May 01, 2024
You wanna deflect with Obi?
emkz:
The deluded dude who insists Peter Obi won the election and Bola Tinubu was rigged in.

Was it Tinubu's fault that Peter Obi could not bring facts and figures to prove where and how he won?

He floundered to ask disqualification of Tinubu on the grounds of a financial forfeiture which he claimed was related to drugs, but failed to bring an expert witness to prove it. He also wanted disqualification on the grounds of double nomination of Kashim Shettima, which was settled before swearing in. Then he started quarreling about non-transmission of results to IREV. If Tinubu controls the courts, did Tinubu control the brain of Peter Obi to do the wrong things?

Why didn't your messiah bring result sheets from polling agents to demonstrate how he won the elections?

Peter Obi lost, he knew it. But to keep the mob like you happy, he had to form activity that exposed his limitations.

He lost. I am sorry it's hard for you. Call me let's cry together if it makes you feel better.
Politics › Re: FG To Pay N2.75bn Compensation For Coastal Highway Demolitions Today by DMerciful(m): 3:14pm On May 01, 2024
Is this what you were told to propagate in your whatsapp group?
Bobby4090:
You only receive compensation if your personal land is taken or if your approved building is destroyed. Landmark didn't have any personal land taken because the beach is public property and no regular building of theirs was destroyed. They are entitled to zero compensation and accordingly got none.
Landmark was only trying to blackmail the government into allowing them to keep using the beach illegally without buying it or paying rent on it. They recruited Peter Obi in their propaganda war with Federal Government but failed woefully. Thank God the road continues.

He has 4yrs to destroy Igbo businesses! You think people who survived civil war and thrived the most can be affected by one rascal drug baron?
raumdeuter:
Tinubu is the president and makes decision for the presidency, If you dont like it, too bad, you can only whine
Politics › Re: Landmark Demolition: I'm Glad I Left Nigeria - Tayo Aina by DMerciful(m): 3:06pm On May 01, 2024
So you don't know the story? The original design means the road will not run through it. It was changed 7months ago
Geovanni412:
If he acquired it , knowing that road will run through it

He should take his L in peace unless he has connections that can save him deep in govt

No court can save him in such a situation.

Open up the coastal areas to development? Are you for real?

Tinubu is doing fine?

Ok!
Ikaeniyan0:
There are numerous other beaches in Lagos. Tinubu is doing fine.

The Lagos coastal road is important, it will open up the coastal areas to development.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 3:03pm On May 01, 2024
Tinubu you mean? A person that has personal interest there
raumdeuter:
Govt has taken the decision and implemented it. According to the Land use act , Govt owns all land
Politics › Re: Landmark Demolition: I'm Glad I Left Nigeria - Tayo Aina by DMerciful(m): 3:02pm On May 01, 2024
Redress in court controlled by Tinubu? Stop playing
emkz:
What are the issues?

(1) Landmark admitted they violated the right of way of FG.

(2) They have not proved that they own the coastal land.

(3) The demolition only affected some shanties, and hardly the main buildings.

(4) Landmark wanted to fight the project to protect their selfish interest.

(5) How come he didn't seek redress in court if he felt his land was forcefully taken away from him?

(6) Why are other businesses not making so much noise like Landmark?

If anyone wants to take his businesses out of Nigeria, he can consider the market and the operating conditions. Landmark goofed here. They never asked the right questions. They felt if they build on that land and stayed for long, it would automatically belong to them. The least I expected him was to find another location in Lagos to continue. Just inform your patrons of the new location.

How hard is that?
Politics › Re: Landmark Demolition: I'm Glad I Left Nigeria - Tayo Aina by DMerciful(m): 2:59pm On May 01, 2024
Nope, the road was already designed to run behind his resort, Tinubu changed it to favour himself and the Chagourys
Reflect7:
Is it him that determines where the road will run?

So he even knew it was land earmarked for a road, and he built a resort there?

Mssheww.

Can he try that in UK or America?

Plus Tayo Aina needs to SHUT THE HELL UP, and go live wherever he wants and stop using Nigeria as his excuse.

Idiot too stupid and full of himself to see the big picture or read the legal provisions around the issue.

No, Tayo Aina, in those places you mentioned with your inferiority complex, you cannot build on a land you know has been earmarked for a road, and then when time comes to build the road, you start instructing the govt where the road should pass through.

You can never try that in those countries you worship, Mr Aina.

He even mentioned Middle East.

Dem no born you well to try such there.
Politics › Re: Landmark Demolition: I'm Glad I Left Nigeria - Tayo Aina by DMerciful(m): 2:58pm On May 01, 2024
You can choose to downplay it but every discerning mind can see the targeting of landmark business for destruction
motymop:
Tayo aina doesn't know what he talking about, those people sponsors his youtube channel, so he cant speak ill of them even though they are breaking the law.

In Europe, and America or even south africa, you can not build on a property just because you bought the land, you need to have the right permit and government approved documents.

Landmark isn't a tourist destination. Landmark is just like a small beach side resort for those who can afford it. and lets not talk about the overpriced and exploiting restaurants and cafe along that oniru beach shorelines

How many tourist visit landmark? majority of customers in landmark are Nigerians

it unfortunate that some people have spined these stuff into a tribal issue but along that shores, lot of restaurants, shops and also shanties will also be destroyed.

if we take into consideration, the effort the lagos and federal government took to reclaim most of that land from the ocean, they spent billions of naira doing that, but then how can you now claim ownership of something that has a master plan and the government have spent billions of dollars in doing.

Have you ever thought why there are no beach front house properties in Nigeria? it is because of the landuse acts and the claim that from 250M from the beach shore, the government owns it.

so why spin the news into something tribal, when you know you are breaking the land use act and also the government master plan
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:53pm On May 01, 2024
I have lived in Lagos.
Anyways, make una dey applaud Tinubu, we will see how this ends.
Ikaeniyan0:
You're talking as if that's the only location in Lagos there's a beach.

Have you been to Lagos before?
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:51pm On May 01, 2024
The beachfront is 10 times more important than the properties! Oniru beach? Common, he can't make it so obvious
raumdeuter:
Oniru beach was also affected why are you not wailing about it?

If Tinubu wants to target landmark, he will destroy the whole building and property not just the beachfront and nothing will happen

This project will be ready and completed .

The economic incentive of this project is just to great for it to fail.

So Umahi is doing a Hitler on landmark?
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:43pm On May 01, 2024
Igbos did not vote for that fraudulent illegitimate president so he is acting out of pain. That coastal road will not get to SS
Bliss4Lyfe:
The original plan for the costal road according to Umahi goes through SE but the President have told him to remove the SE because it will no longer be a coastal road if the SE is included.

Can u imagine?
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:42pm On May 01, 2024
Is that not the justification? Include a little more so its not obvious.

For a country in need for tourism, why destroy the most viable tourist location?
Ikaeniyan0:
Landmark is not the only beach on that axis that will be affected by this road.

You have never been to that axis, this is why you're making this all about landmark beach alone. All the beaches within that axis will be affected.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:40pm On May 01, 2024
There is always beautiful justification for evil acts. You think Hitler never had beautiful justification for causing second world war?
LegendHero:
You have to understand what was at play. That coastal road have been in Lagos plan since 15+ years ago and there has always been issue between Lagos state and FG on the right of ownership.

FG claimed they own then land 250m from the line which explains why Lagos had to settle for another route. Thats the line you are seeing in that pics. It was Yar’Adua that eventually granted Fashola that permission.

If FG had merged with Lagos to use that red like path in the image, it would have led to more destruction of houses. So in a bid to save Landmark shanties/tents, you will have to bring down real properties along that other corridor.

Honestly, white won't do something so rash just to target someone
Bliss4Lyfe:
The things I have witness in this Nigeria, when i hear some people talking about Black as if they are better than white people, I dont tolerate it.

White people dont treat each other like this.

This wickedness actually made me sick.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:33pm On May 01, 2024
That is not the point. This coastal road had an original plan. There's no justification for that short detour other than to target landmark
Ikaeniyan0:
Look at the way you talk as if you're the owner of the project.

Well, Eko Atlantic City will eventually make landmark landlock. I wander why he's playing politics with this issue.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:31pm On May 01, 2024
The govt is meant to encourage business investments, not doing unnecessary things to close business. This law was recently litigated by the Supreme Court.

Tinubu is using his illegitimate presidency to fight Igbos. He will not succeed!
LegendHero:
Oh now the business is the beachfront. Now, who owns the beachfront? Is it not the FG Abi you no understand Nigeria law. Certain meters from the waterbody is owned by the FG.

So if FG is repossessing her properties, why are you then crying?

You’re even using your argument to show why Landmark owner is a propagandists.

Not likely in 10yrs
Ikaeniyan0:
Sand filling of the Eko Atlantic City is an ongoing project. There's always sand filling going on there everyday. When it will get to landmark is when I dont know but it will eventually get there.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:27pm On May 01, 2024
Its obvious landmark beach was targeted and thats why there'sa rush to prevent people from intervening.

Imagine doing a small detour to damage such an expensive business only to rejoin just after.

Such wickedness using presidential powers.
Bliss4Lyfe:
If u look at this picture, after destroying Landmark bsuiness because he is Igbo, they then rejoin the main route.

Now the same road is in front and at the back, where is that done.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:25pm On May 01, 2024
When will that be?

Even if the road followed the original plan, Eko Atlantic City would have still make landmark landlock.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:24pm On May 01, 2024
Lagos coastal road, fg coastal road side by side, does it make sense?

Tinubu will not be there forever!
LegendHero:
You don’t even understand the picture you are sharing.

The red line is Lagos state project. The yellow line is federal government project.

Lagos initially intended to build a 4lane coastal project as an alternative to Lekki-Epe expressway. It is a different project entirely from this interstate coastal expressway.

Use your brain, between the line in red and that in yellow, which one is closer to the water bodies more? Then which one do you think will lead to destruction of more properties along the corridor between the two?
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:22pm On May 01, 2024
The business is not the building, its the beach front. You know this but trying to justify a wicked targeted act.

If the road had followed the original plan, it would have been a win-win. This new route is more expensive besides the new route finally joined the old route just after landmark. Its just a targeted act
LegendHero:
Tinubu targeted landmark lol. This psychological damage happening to you guys is beyond ordinary.

Tinubu targeted Landmark and he could only demolish his tent.

One need to study the psychological effect of Biafran war defeat. This constant paranoia is not ordinary.

Buhari did not start Lagos-Ibadan rail, GEJ did!
LegendHero:
I have a simple question.

Why exactly do you not want them to embark on the road? If Buhari thinks like you, Lagos - Ibadan rail will not be completed today since he started and finished it.

you guys have been mentally damaged such that anything the government does, you start your propaganda of “They won’t finish in 5000 years” to save face.

This is the only time I’ve heard people crying that FG is moving too fast in building a road. First time I hear people saying government is wasting money for building roads.
Politics › Re: See The Supposedly $200m Landmark Beach Investment That Got Demolished by DMerciful(m): 2:12pm On May 01, 2024
The coastal road that will not get to SS could have followed the original design and pass behind landmark.

Tinubu targeted landmark, its too obvious.
LegendHero:
We have been seeing propaganda fly around about government demolishing $200m landmark beach investment that employ over 100k people.

Then I came across the picture of the demolition and I burst out into laughter.

The way we call money in this country, you would think people get mental problem.

Shey na the $200m investment demolished be this?
Politics › Re: Someone Predicted A Year Ago Exactly How Tinubu's Tenure Would Go by DMerciful(m): 2:07pm On May 01, 2024
If Buhari as president could extend it, Tinubu can!
nairalanda1:
He is, unfortunately right.

I knew what was up when Buhari kept on repeatedly saying that subsidy won't be paid after June 2023. Once the PIA was signed, the countdown began.

Infact subsidy would have gone in 2022, if not that Bubu rushed a law that allowed funding till June 2023.

Then there was the debate where Tinubu, Atiku and Obi all said, on the record...subsidy will go if they win. You want to call Obi and Atiku APC cows?

Finally, in August 2022, our debt servicng was eating 90% of our income. Removing subsidy (partially) reduced that to 63% of our income.

I knows it is painful, but the signs were there.
Politics › Re: Someone Predicted A Year Ago Exactly How Tinubu's Tenure Would Go by DMerciful(m): 2:05pm On May 01, 2024
He removed subsidy one month before the due date. Besides if he could do supplimentary budget to buy yatch, he could do to continue the subsidy till December. This would have given him enough time to figure things out.

Is he not paying the subsidy today?
thesicilian:
All these are not predictions, they're just common sense. Subsidy was never in the budget from January 2023 and it was clear the incoming president would be the one to beat most of the effects. Once subsidy removal was announced everything else was bound to follow.

If I remember correctly many people, especially pastors also predicted that Peter Obi would become the president

That coastal highway will not get to SS. Lets watch and see!
AuschwitzPrefec:
The section demolished was illegally sited on federal land and the demolition excercise carried out by federal govt through the ministry of works headed by an Ibo man.

One of them on this thread is even asking that they de-invest from Lagos and invest in coastal towns which I infer is in the same SS that this road network project is meant to open up.

Now tell me how SS people will want to sell prime real estate to them after they opposed the project that will make the adjourning lands along the route spike in value?

This coastal highway project normally should attract commendation and support from their likes as it will surely see to other coastal towns in the SS opening up for business, investments and tourism.

But for their myopic hatred inspired by pure bigotry for anything good outside their region , they have now shot themselves on the foot and kneecaps.
