Politics › Re: One Term Coalition ( OTC) by DMerciful(m): 4:04pm On Jul 04, 2025 |
Don't you think we've passed the stage os asking what they achieved while they were governors? Tinubu is there now and performing abysmally and thats enough reason to vote him out. Obi was the first to promise one-term with a contract to the coalition before Amaechi copied him. Obi has bankable votes, Amaechi is untested. Obi-El Rufai is the ticket helinues: Amaechi is promising one term, so as Peter Obi and Atiku.
Amaechi and Obi was governor for good 8 years in their respective states, what precisely can they point out to have achieved?
Atiku served as VP for 8 years, the portfolio that was given to him like power sector, what did he achieve with it?
It's just so obvious that the top leaders in the coalition are only interested about their political ambition not that they care about Nigerians.
Any of them saying he would serve one term is boldly lying

Reduce insecurity Reduce cost of governance Fight corruption Provide power Pull Nigerians out of poverty Focus of education and health Kemetian: What Exactly Does The 'Coalition' Want To Do Differently From Tinubu?
Do they want to reinstate the fuel subsidies?
Do they want to end the floating of the naira?
What exactly do they want to do that is fundamentally different from what Tinubu is doing?
I've never seen this kind of situation where we keep hearing about 'coalition, coalition', with not a single word on their policy agenda.
And yet everyone just goes along with it.
It's so unfortunate. |

In the coming thats you'll have atleast 5 govs and prob over 30 NASS members. You think the BBC carrying this is a small thing? Tinubu is gone! helinues: Heavy weight that are not in charge of their respective political parties
The first blunder by the opposition forming coalition is be defecting to unknown party ADC which have only 2 HOR members from Bauchi state. Their political vehicle should have been already established political party like Pdp which Nigerians are familiar with, have structures and party house across the local government in Nigeria.
From the 774 local government we have in Nigeria, how many do ADC have party structure? One local government consist of sn average of 20 wards, how many wards is ADC currently controlling in Nigeria?
Had it been the leaders of the opposition are the one in charge of their political parties, they would have easily collapsed the party structure for the coalition party |

Obi making it public that he'll only do one term is strategic advanceDNA: Have we not said the same thing?? he ddnt win much state in the north, SW, but won SE well .....like I said earlier the strategy of governors delivering state like Wike did...will not work in all states....but baba...tinubu doesn't need all states to win.... |

SE states are five states, Obi won 12. Obi won Nasarawa, Abuja, Lagos, Plateau, Edo,Delta, and one other state. Okowa was sitting gov and vp candidate but got only 26% in Delta. Tinubu could not get 25% in Abuja despite Buhari there. advanceDNA: Baba...obi won fair and square in many eastern states because Bi@fra regions were hoping for their own person to win...did obi get much state in south west....did he win in the north...
Governors delivering strategy will obviously not work in all states...but tinubu doesn't need to win in all states to win ..y'all know rivers is a done deal for tinubu again....... northerners full of underage voters are just deceiving us...they do as their told by their clerics and governors ... |

Today is the talk of coalition, any other talk wont fly! On Peter Obi's rock will the new Nigeria be built and the gates of criminality shall not prevail against him helinues: That lies have been flying around for some time whenever some people want to question why the dollar rate currently is above N1500.
The truth is, during the time of naira to dollar N150, it was subsidized dollar as the then president didn't want the rate to go unnecessary higher during his time, they kept subsidizing while the then CBN governor and his cronies were reselling to other countries. It even got to a time we were borrowing just to meet up with the fake N150 rate.
Buhari stopped the borrowing, even though there were still subsidizing, we started seeing N355 rate, as the subsidizing money was reducing, the rate continue going up
President Tinubu came, he said we are not going to subsidized the dollar again, let the real price show it's face and the market will take care of the rest.
Without borrowing, without subsidy, the real actual Dollar rate as from 2023 when president Tinubu took over was N1500. As at this time last year, Naira to dollar rate was around N1535. As at today's rate it's around N1560
Naira to dollar rate 2024 N1535 Naira to dollar rate 2025 N1560
Can we see the stability in the naira to dollar rate under this government? |

With what Obi proved in 2023, you're still talking about SE politicians? Nigerians removing Tinubu and APC is existential fergie001: I like the fact he is pressuring the coalition so as to get better bargain.
Having a bargaining chip is quite good but let's be honest, we know he can't win any Primary that has the likes of Atiku, El-Rufai, Amaechi and co.
Quite frankly, Obi as Presidential Candidate with or without the coalition will not give Tinubu the needed headache he truly deserves.
These people will have to go convince persons in rural places to vote Obi? Haaaaaaaaa, let's be practical here. You and I know e no go work. But he is doing what he didn't do before Atiku went for Okowa, so that's a good one.
Let's be honest, the SE doesn't have the numbers. Look at that room in the Coalition and tell me what you see. Many in the SE do not even know if there is anything like coalition or not. Who are the big SE politicians there?
If the election is conducted only in Southern Nigeria, that's a different kettle of fish. |

Tinubu is gone. He will be the most defeated president in Nigeria's history NgeneUkwenu: Coalition of Northern Fraudsters, Who Can't Endure Four Years Out of power.
Things to note before the usual emotional tribe get their hopes high:
South West- There's no state Atiku can get up to 10% of the votes.
South South- There is no state as presently constituted, that Atiku can get up to 10% of votes cast.
South East: There is not state here, Atiku will see up to 10% of the votes cast.
NORTH Central; With the exception of Taraba and Niger states( Where Atiku can get up to 25% of the votes) there is nothing for him in this Zone.
North West and North East ( Atiku will win handsomely here with born to rule mentality of the hausa fulani,) but that wont be enough to compete with Tinubu when the Numbers are added.
SUMMARY: Atiku will only make 25% in about 15 states, while Tinubu is projected to make at least 25% in 32 states and Abuja! |

At least you're beginning to drop that impunity of BAT till 2031. I'm happy you guys are seeing the handwriting on the wall. Tinubu will be a one-term illegitimate president seunmsg: The hatred for SW won’t allow some of you see beyond your nose. The north is not going to handover any power to the SE whether in four years or twenty years. If Atiku wins in 2027, he will contest for another term and there is nothing anybody can do about it.
Considering how the north has behaved since 2023, they will still put up a candidate even after 8 years of an Atiku presidency. They will simply coalesce around another El-Rufai, Tambuwal, Kwakwanso or whatever. The north can’t just do without power and a mere promise to just do one term is not what will make them handover to any Ibo person.
And the middle belt are no fools, they have nothing to benefit from another Fulani led government. The people of southern Kaduna are just breathing a sigh of relief from the shege they saw under Buhari/El-Rufai, they won’t run to another Atiku whose only campaign point is the restoration of Fulani hegemony and nothing else.
Whatever the case, you all are free to dream. We shall meet you fire for fire and treachery for treachery at the polls in 2027. |
