PoliticsRe: ADC: The Only Reason Obi Should Accept VP To Atiku by DMerciful(m): 10:42pm On Jul 05, 2025
Why didnt Northerners vote for Atiku in 2023?
AMINDA:
No problem. Just make sure you stand on the queue and vote Tinubu on that day. For every vote Tinubu gets in the South, Northerners will double it for Atiku.
PoliticsRe: ADC: The Only Reason Obi Should Accept VP To Atiku by DMerciful(m): 10:22pm On Jul 05, 2025
If the Northern heavyweights can't convince their people to vote Obi, then let Tinubu continue.
AMINDA:
It's easy to tout the words "work for" but what does that really mean? Unless you expect them to rig the elections for Obi like Wike did in Rivers for Tinubu, then there's only so much they can do. Elections are almost impossible to rig in the North but the people have to be conversant and familiar with whom they are voting for in order to be fully invested.

In 2023, Northerners gave Tinubu 5.6m votes out of his 8.3m inspite of their son Atiku being on the ballot. The number could have been more if not for naira and fuel scarcity. It was a payback to the South for the favour done to Buhari. Unfortunately, Tinubu won, turned around and casted northern allies like Elrufai aside and betrayed northern interests in an arrogant manner.

A good way for Obi to introduce himself to the North will be to deputise Atiku. By 2031, Atiku will be too old to run anyways and Northerners would have familiarised themselves with Obi enough to return the favour and vote him in as president. It's a thing of pride to a Northerner and a religious obligation to keep one's word which is also why they pay back betrayal with equal fierceness. This is not an emotional analysis. It's reality.
PoliticsRe: ADC: The Only Reason Obi Should Accept VP To Atiku by DMerciful(m): 10:19pm On Jul 05, 2025
Atiku could not win North in 2019 and 2023. What makes you think he can win in 2027?
Amitex:
If Kwankwaso is not joining coalition, let Peter Obi deputize Atiku, but the Caveat that Atiku must rule for a single 4 years term. NOT NEGOTIABLE!

My reasoning is simple. If Kwankwaso joins APC, Peter Obi as presidential candidate cannot defeat them. Not that people would not like to vote for him, but APC will use Federal might and presidential might to create voter aparthy in the South through intimidation, ballot box destruction and BVAS machine snatching. From Lagos to Rivers, it would be war, with many fearing to go out to vote. The Police and army will look the other way while election materials are being destroyed. Tinubu will make sure Peter Obi does not win Lagos. The Yorubas will activate Oro and clamp down on Lekki and Amowo-Odofin areas. Even in Alimosho, where Aregbe has a big grassroot support will not be soared.

The outcome would be a lot of polling units results cancelation, while the Northern votes will be 60:40 to APC.

If Kwankwaso joins the coalition, Peter Obi should contest, he will be syre to win and be ready to leave the North to chose their candidate in 2031. That way, Tinubu would be far gone.
PoliticsRe: At Open Letter To The South And Well Meaning Nigerian. by DMerciful(m): 10:15pm On Jul 05, 2025
The South is forming alliance with Atiku and Elrufai however it will be Obi-ElRufai ticket with Obi as the presidential candidate
Rich4god:
Greetings to you all. I come in peace, but I know I will be insulted and called names. But that's not my problem.

Now straight to the point.

The south should not fall for any form of fake alliance with the north in trying to unseat tinubu. Especially if the alliance involves el rufai and atiku. Thats fake love that they are showing.

The majority of the southerners are normal people, they just want to leave good life and enjoy in peace, hence the crave for good governance. But majority of the northerners aren't normal, to them leadership and governance is domination and conquering. This is especially fueled by their religion. The north wants to be in total control of this nation so as to fully propagate their religious agenda.

It is because tinubu is not driving towards that agenda that is why you are seeing the northerners falling away from him including the vice president. Imagine el rufai of all people coming out to preach message of good governance to us.

The north doesn't care about good governance, all they want is domination.

Am sure you guys have seen the video of el rufai talking about what he did in Kaduna state.

Before he became a governor, Kaduna state runs like Nigeria. They usually have Muslim gov/Christian deputy and vice versa, till the coming of el rufai. He made sure that no key or sensitive position is held by a Christian in that state. Let's not even talk about how local kings in southern Kaduna were displaced in favour of emirs.

TBC.

PoliticsRe: Obi’s One-term Presidency Not Sellable In North – Ex- IPAC Chairman by DMerciful(m): 9:28pm On Jul 05, 2025
Obi as the concensus presidential candidate of the coalition is non-negotiable
sleek214:
That's very true. Only Atiku/Obi ticket can defeat Tinubu.... Apart from delusional obidients, the other people pushing Obi are all APC members/supporters... e.g. Festus Kayemo, saying Obi should not accept to be Atiku's VP, Datti, his brother left Tinubu govt, he (Datti) secretly joined and is pushing Obi to contest...Aisha Yesufu, a delusional obidient or perhaps she knows she won't get the cash and publicity she got at the last election..... Obi has already agreed with Atiku before the coalition was formed but am afraid some of these talk might get to his head and he will pull out.... seems obi is greatly influenced by his social media followers/ advisers
PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 9:26pm On Jul 05, 2025
The coalition is meant to defeat Tinubu. Do you really think Amaechi can defeat Tinubu?
Sharpsharp00123:
the simple questions I will ask u is this?

Do u think it's obidient that will vote at d primary?

Do u think obi can outspend Amaechi in spending dollars?
PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 9:24pm On Jul 05, 2025
You except ADC to start well without Equity, Fairness and Justice?
Sharpsharp00123:
where is that written in the constitution?
PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 9:23pm On Jul 05, 2025
The choice will either be concensus or direct primaries
Sharpsharp00123:
so if he doesn't give delegates money, do u think they will vote him?

Hope u know delegates needs dollars too?
PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 7:36pm On Jul 05, 2025
Amaechi has no proven followers. Secondly, Amaechi was critical in bringing Buhari and worked for Buhari's govt that destroyed Nigeria. Who will reward Amaechi with presidency?
Sharpsharp00123:
if it's zoned to the south, it will b between Amaechi n obi.

Hope u know obidient won't b d delegates to vote in d primary?

Hope u know d delegates need dollar like every politician out there?

Hope u know obi can't outspend Amaechi when it comes to dollar rain?
PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 7:34pm On Jul 05, 2025
Atiku should wait until its the turn of the North. The North did 8yrs under Buhari so the South must do 8yrs
Sharpsharp00123:
so atiku will agree to make obi consensus candidate abi?
PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 7:33pm On Jul 05, 2025
Where did i say Obi does not buy nomination form?

Obi will not purchase primary election by buying delegates. Read to understand
Sharpsharp00123:
so obi doesn't buy primary form but wants to lead Nigeria?

U most b a joke

PoliticsRe: Want To Beat Tinubu?, Make Peter Obi ADC Candidate - Kayode Ogundamisi by DMerciful(m): 5:55pm On Jul 05, 2025
You're echoing your bias. Tinubu is gone and he knows it
WizardOfNG:
They can't. Not with Atiku in my opinion. The Northerners who are not talking, yet are influential, are more important than those making noise and showing face, whereas their real influence is limited, like Sule Lamido, El Rufai, Malami, Babachir Lawal, Had Sirika etal.

Look below to understand there are many Northerner, in office and in powerful positions, thinking like Yakasai.

The mistake Nigerians make, especially those very desperate for Igbo Presidency, is giving too much 'alagbara' credit to loud, loquacious and attention-seeking Northerners , with Malami and El Rufia being classic examples, whereas the most influential Northerners, like Kwankwaso for example, are the very opposite of those things by nature.

PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 4:40pm On Jul 05, 2025
PO does not purchase primaries as a matter of principle.

Secondly, Atiku is not eligible because its the turn of the South.

PO has the numbers, Amaechi has no proven followers, beside Amaechi was part of Buhari's govt that destroyed Nigeria

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Is A Smart Man And Knows How To Nagvigate Power. by DMerciful(m): 4:36pm On Jul 05, 2025
Peter Obi as the concensus presidential candidate of the coalition is non-negotiable
motymop:
I don’t follow politics, I don’t support any party, and I don’t vote, so this isn’t about taking sides. But to be honest, Peter Obi is a smart man. He’s a political survivalist. He understands how to navigate power.

People forget he’s a businessman and businessmen know how to survive. He started in APGA and won there, then moved to PDP, and eventually to ADC. Through all the shifts, he’s remained relevant.

Don’t let the soft voice fool you, that is a way to get support and to look very soft,it is also a way to look unthreatened by competitors but he’s strategic, opportunistic, and ruthless when it comes to staying in the game. Word is, he might become the ADC vice presidential nominee. It fits the pattern. He has no blind loyalty to any party. When he sees opportunity, he steps in. When it dries up, he moves.

That’s not criticism. It’s just the reality of how he plays the game.
PoliticsRe: Zoning May Split ADC As Atiku, Obi, Amaechi Seek Presidential Ticket by DMerciful(m): 4:30pm On Jul 05, 2025
Obi will not go through the primaries if Atiku decides to contest. Obi did it to the PDP in 2022. He knows if he gies through primaries, he'd be stuck there
iwaeda:
Just tell Obi not to run away before the primary and be a good sport man. Divided votes will give Tinubu free reign. Igi kan I da Igbo se. grin grin grin
PoliticsRe: Want To Beat Tinubu?, Make Peter Obi ADC Candidate - Kayode Ogundamisi by DMerciful(m): 4:28pm On Jul 05, 2025

WizardOfNG:
They did not have the numbers to remove GEJ in 2011? Incumbency is an advantage not to be sniffed at.

PoliticsRe: Want To Beat Tinubu?, Make Peter Obi ADC Candidate - Kayode Ogundamisi by DMerciful(m): 4:23pm On Jul 05, 2025
Obi won the South in 2019, why couldn't Atiku win the North in 2019? Obi won the South with wide margin in 2023 but Atiku couldn't win the North convincingly and thats why APC won.

Atiku is a paperweight even with PDP structures. Atiku is perpetually unelectable
Odin13:
All this tinubu allies understand that Obi will be an easy ride for them ..
But then … they clearly understand that Arewa is planing and now hundred miles ahead of them.

Atiku Obi won buhari and his cult followers in 19’.. but was rigged.

The real fear tinubu’s government is facing is not from south.. but Arewa North and we’re so determine to deal
PoliticsRe: Want To Beat Tinubu?, Make Peter Obi ADC Candidate - Kayode Ogundamisi by DMerciful(m): 4:20pm On Jul 05, 2025
So the North does not have the numbers to remove Obi after 4 yrs?
WizardOfNG:
Lol. Ogundamisi dey lamba the most lamba-gullible Nigerians. Please make Obi ADC candidate and pair him with any Northerner.

Let us see if any Northern political, religious or cultural leader will direct their devotees to vote Obi so that North can be out of power for another 8 year from 2027, making 12 in total since Buhari left, rather than jejeli manage Tinubu so that the North, 100% guaranteed, can be back in power in 2031 rather than 2035.
PoliticsRe: Want To Beat Tinubu?, Make Peter Obi ADC Candidate - Kayode Ogundamisi by DMerciful(m): 4:19pm On Jul 05, 2025
If ADC coalition is to win the general election, Obi is the candidate but if they want to just participate in the general election, Atiku or Amaechi will do.

Atiku or Amaechi cannot win a general election
Ikaeniyan0:
Obi won't get the ADC ticket unless he's made the sole candidate in the primary election. He can't defeat Atiku or Amechi in the primary election.

Stop mentioning PDP, its dead! Peter Obi as the concensus presidential candidate of the coalition is non-negotiable

The only way the opposition will have a chance in 2027 is if they all unite under the PDP. Tinubu will win the election if ADC and PDP contest against the APC
