You see those abattoirs in Southern part of Nigeria, the owners don't mostly buy cows everyday, they have cows in both North and South that the herders( Herdsmen) are looking after for them. They only give them money and expect whatever it takes to keep their cows for them.

If you see some herders all away from North settling down in any forest in southern part of Nigeria, they are mostly invited by the owners of the cow .

Why can't those who are into cow business from Southern part of Nigeria build ranches for their cows, that would avoid the unnecessary clashes of the herders and the farmers. Cows sometimes don't hear payan, not much the herders can do in controlling the cows during grazing

With this new development States can develop transmission ecosystems that are parallel to what is in existence or they can totally decouple from existing transmission systems
It will not happen overnight but the option is there legally

There are already tiny examples of decentralization scattered across the country e.g In the Niger Delta the Oil majors have generated their own Power. Dangote is generating his own power at his cement and other industries

At power plants like Kainji and Egbin Within their campus they power their staff quarters and offices directly from power they generate before it goes to the grid and have extended same to host community
Geometric in Aba distributes power off grid and On Grid
Lagos State Metro rail will be powered by off grid electricity

So there is already decentralization and this development affords states a CHOICE . They can decide to develop their electricity totally disconnected from the National grid

That option is open to states and the private sector and we can expect to see that particularly with Solar generation which is progressively cheaper

States do not have to beg the FG to licence
